The hotel

Everyday is paradise when you wake up with views of the ocean through the floor to ceiling windows at the Margaritaville Beach Resort in the Bahamas. With over 5,000 square miles of beaches, pools, and bars to explore, this is your ultimate destination within a destination. It’s perfect for families, with spacious suites to accommodate you all together, some even with full kitchens for those nights when you want to eat dinner alone on the balcony. The activities on offer are never ending, the water park being the pick of the bunch – and we know you’ll love the slides just as much as the little ones really! There’s also an entertainment centre to keep them occupied, with games, bowling and a movie theatre, so you can relax in the spa or grab a frozen margarita from the beachfront bar and watch the cruise ships coming in and out of Nassau. Make sure you grab a spot at the rooftop bar in time for the sunset, definitely an instagram-able moment.

I do not want to deter anyone from staying at this beautiful resort. It is new, bright and airy and very clean. I think a few of our issues are related to us arriving during a low tourist week and perhaps some staffing challenges (as most are experiencing currently). Check in was easy and our room was ready before check in time. The room is beautiful. Many toiletries in the bathroom. Housekeeping is phenomenal. The pool and beach are nice. It is disappointing how many guests leave their trash behind. Service at the beach and pool were inconsistent. Sunday there were 5 cruise ships at port and it was very busy here. Many passengers landed at our resort and stayed on the beach when they should have been at Junkanoo next door. Staff tried their best to monitor this, but at some point they gave up. The other days were much more manageable. Sunday could have been a one off. There is nothing to do after 5 pm. Stores close. Many local restaurants closed at 6pm off. The pool and beach on property close early. Front desk never answered my calls. I had to walk down both times I had a question. One elevator was out of service for 3 days. Long lines and crowded elevators during busy times. Please note: This is a cashless resort. You must charge everything. If you need a taxi to the hotel, make sure they accept credit cards before you get in. We are sad to leave. Overall a good trip with a few bumps. Read less

We had a family vacation here for Spring Break with family of 5 with three teenage daughters. It is a stunningly beautiful place! The beach is great and lots of activities for girls. We have a two bedroom suite with ocean view and it was great with lots of room. We ate all our meals at the resort who has a great breakfast diner type place and lots of lunch and dinner options. Everyone was SO NICE and after traveling all over the world, we forgot how great the Bahamas are (and will be back!) Highly recommend doing a boat charter and going to turtle island. At night things close a bit early (by 7:30 it is quiet on the beach) so we took the taxi to Baha Mahr for nightlife dancing, more restaurants, and casino. Our friends who stayed there said our hotel was nicer. So much to do in Nassau/Atlantis and highly recommend staying here!!!! Highlights: Beautiful new hotel, gorgeous beach, nicest people, great food, taxi ride to go to Baha Mahr and Atlantis. Read less
