Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great Resort but Beware of Unauthorized Room Charges

The resort overall is very beautiful and the water activities and Cove room views were amazing. Food is expensive but generally of good quality. One major problem was about $55 of unauthorized charges to our room which were never reimbursed.

The look and feel of the resort is expensive but great. Clean friendly staff but the staff passed us on to another person 4 times at check in. Further, the transportation never showed up and we were still charged. Disappointing for the money

Went for Thanksgiving week and stayed in a beautiful suite at the Cove while my daughter and family stayed in a unit at the Reefs. Check in smooth however without much useful information -particularly with regard to relationship between Cove/Reefs and Marriott. Why not place the required wristband at time of check in instead of making everyone roam around trying to figure it out. Pools do not open til 9 yet with so many families why? Should open by 7:30 and stay open later. Far too few food outlets with pool food only available starting at 11 AM. Only a single Starbucks between Reefs and Cove- lines out the door every AM. Food is overly expensive and so limited choice in Reefs and Cove area. Many areas getting older and need an upgrade. Gaming tables lowest at $25 min with many at $500 min. Higher than in the best casinos in Las Vegas. If Atlantis was an all inclusive I would rate it much higher. But with very high room rates and outrageous food prices it has become too expensive. When my grandkids are older we may return for all the activities and hopefully some of these shortcomings will have been addressed. Finally the staff is incredibly polite yet often offered no real solution to the problem at hand Read less

The staff at Atlantis (specifically The Cove) is extremely welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I always get weary as a solo traveler, but places like Atlantis give me confidence and rewarding experiences. If you decide to visit/vacation here, it's totally worth it (understanding that Nassau primarily makes its money from tourism), some things you have to check out - Dolphin Cay, Aquaventure, Casino, and Shops. This resort has many things to do, dining options, etc. If you do go off-resort, Pirate Jeep Tours is an excellent option. I will say that the airport transfer affiliated with Atalntis (Majestic Tours Round Trip Private Transfers) is extremely pricey and I'm not sure it is commensurate with taxi fare. I do know that they don't have ride sharing (Uber/Lyft, etc.). Read less
