Stayed here for 10 days and so glad we did Had a garden room apartment which was large, clean and perfectly comfortable , with functioning kitchen It is situated on what we thought was the best part of the island within residential and walking distance to beautiful secluded beaches . Walking distance to to little cafes and a large Massey supermarket. Reggae bus 5 min walk away. Next door to Sandals Sandy Lane - we treated ourselves to afternoon tea for a birthday treat. Lovely beach restaurants to try out or more reasonable little local places which served delicious food Very close to Limegrove shopping centre which was across the road from humble little local bars - try out One Love bar- 3 dollars for a Banks beer and truly bagan and very welcoming. This is excellently priced in a prime location , very good restaurant , friendly staff and inviting pool with good quality sunbeds . in comparison to other hotels ( Sandy Lane would have cost several times more! I took a video of the property before I left for my own security because I did not trust management. On booking, I had been given a gift by a native friend who booked the location for me, after I scouted the place online. He received a rate that was not honored, because it was stated that I do not live in Barbados and can't get the staycation rate. Mind you I am Barbadian and lived over seas 23 years. Understandable I found that fair, what I didn't find fair was I was given a much higher rate than what I could have booked online on the spot and was told I can't have breakfast. I decided not to cancel or book onlinr while standing there just to see what kind of treatment this place provides. For one of my jobs I work with a travel agency that flies Americans to various locations in the world, I was scouting for my native country. I was also home to see a sick parent and dealing with that and this place weighed on me. I was very disappointed that my beautiful barbados had this kind of place and treatment to me and locals and here is why I think this. I was switched to a different room than promised, I had booked 2 beds, my son and I had to share the bed the first night and I declined to have the beds separated because it was too much of a hassle. My room was dusty and the AC made us sick because it was not clean. I did not report this either. I had booked an airbnb for the remainder of my stay because just incase this place was not nice and I was right. We were placed on the area of what appeared to be the staycation section, not close to the pool and tucked away in a corner with the others. I felt terrible, but was dealing with hospitals and my sick mother. I have never been treated like this, and for it to happen on my native land was painful to deal with. The worse part, when we left the room to see my mother. An employee by the restaurant stood there blatantly looking at us with ultimate disgust. I stopped and looked at this grownup woman and asked here why she looked at us with so much disgust, she rolled her eyes and did it again. I was floored that this was an employee of this resort. We returned late that night to find that there were no towels in the room for us to shower. We called front desk and security said everyone has left for the day. I asked security to do all he could to help us and he was able to find us towels. Obviously the room was not prepared for our occupancy. The hotel did not look like the pictures, the room was outdated and the cushions were smelly. The bed was uncomfortable but clean. The cooking utensils were old and over used. The TV stopped working several times. It was obvious how locals were treated. I would not recommend this place to my clients or friends. Great concept but management and staff should be focused on improvement. To the General Manager, I have seen your responses to customers with grievances, your tone in your response is ro be desired, and sounds like you blame the customer. For some advice, use Chat GPT to edit your messages for a kinder response. You also walked right by us when we were discussing why our rate change and why it was so high. Next time just stop walking and show customer service by talking to us, we are also people too. Disappointed and appalled this place and people exist on my beautiful Barbados. Read less
