Stray cats and the odd monkey do nothing to help. The restaurant is not open and the bar is poor. The air con is only in the bedroom and operated by a key so when you go out it doesn’t run and cool the room. The kitchen and sitting room are so hot but opening the doors encourages the cats! The beds are hard and uncomfortable and the sheets don’t even fit the beds. I checked out early as I just couldn’t bare another day/night. Read less

LIKES: Very good value along West Coast. Beware! Barbadian prices are 1.5-2x what you would expect in the UK (from supermarkets to restaurants). Good location, though not on the beach. Free wifi internet, 5 Mbps up/down. DISLIKES: Property is not on the beach, beach is quite a long walk away. In the end we rented a car. Property is a bit… Read more

Free wifi internet, 5 Mbps up/down. DISLIKES: Property is not on the beach, beach is quite a long walk away. In the end we rented a car. Property is a bit faded but is undergoing renovations, we got an un-renovated apartment which was good value for the price (£680 for 8 nights in the low season). Only one room has air conditioning. NOTE: Fastest wifi we found was in Sandy Lane Hotel (180 Mbps) and The Cliff (60 Mbps). RESTAURANT: We didn't try it. Lots of options on the beach, all quite expensive. We also self-catered. Best thing about the hotel by far is jabar, working on the bar, although this shuts at a very early 10pm (I'm on holiday would most definitely like the bar open longer) asides from that he has been amazing, great service, great banter, extremely professional, and a great host.
