I reported a exposed electric wires on a broken socket wall in our bedroom to the TUI Rep and the General manager. The General manager ignored my complaint and walked off. This is a serious health and safety issue. This hotel needs to be inspected and CLOSED DOWN. On our 7th day our last day it was rectified. We also reported that our bath not being checked and cleaned before guests arrived it looked like sand. The phone does not work had to go to reception to report all my issues. The room maid came in within 10 mins to wash the bath out. My mistake in booking this hotel I should of read up on the reviews before. Our garden view that we was supposed to have was the fire exit steps leading down to the ground floor. We were also black mailed into signing an NDA (non disclose agreement) not to go to social media to name and shame the staff and hotel performance. We refused to sign. Pictures of live electric wires exposed are shared around social media. Guests needs to be aware of this. Compare to other 3 star hotels this have to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It was my first time visiting and I had wonderful time and will return again. yes it's a budget hotel and great if you intend to be out and about. I loved breakfast and always found something to eat. If you can't find anything to eat, please speak with the lovely staff in the dining room, who are very helpful and accommodating and will gladly get you something else. shout out to samantha in the dining room, lovely woman and excellent member of staff. The person on omelette service should be visible for the full shift, it looks professional and ready for service. I worked in hotels over 15 years and now work in healthcare. This hotel could be great and needs alot of tlc and updates, it is clean and has the space to do alot of good things. The guy on the bbq needs to acknowledge people in front of him and be more friendly. The barstaff shaka and Gabriel are excellent, please get mohitos on your cocktail menu and some liqueurs behind the bar! Desiree is a lovely lady and loved doing aqua aerobics with her shame it's not a bit longer. Your reception team are good although they are missing some vital information that could help them, such as hotel info in the rooms with breakfast etc times on and activities. Your housekeeping team are hardworking but the team does seem small for the size of the hotel and can imagine when full, the wait for clean rooms for checkin is long! Your reception area really does need air conditioning all over and the lounge room needs updating and has a funny smell to it, luggage should be protected elsewhere in a locked room. The bedrooms are a good size and clean, the bathrooms could do with a makeover as the toilets are in a awkward position behind the door at a angle and the showers are not great, new bath mats and curtains needed. The room used for ala carte is a lovely space and nice bar not being used to its full potential. Please get rid of the curtains and allow the beautiful beach view to be seen. Also advertise your fitness room no one knows it exists! Please get rid of the plastic around your reception desk it's unwelcoming and the reception desk would be a better use of space moved to the area where Desiree sits. Read less

My wife and l have just returned and had a great holiday at the Barbados Beach Club. The staff were very helpful and polite, especially Natalie, Steve on the beach, Gabriel and Shaka behind the bar. Our room 411 was kept very clean and well serviced. The hotel itself is a bit tired, but makes up in other ways. The location is next to of a beautiful beach with white sand. The food was great, something for everyone, no complaints there and the restaurant staff were first class. We read the reviews prior and were a little concerned, but we can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. What made it even better was the like minded people we met who we will keep in touch with and made our overall experience one, which we will never forget. There needs to be some constructive criticism. When the water is turned off for maintenance, however short. There needs to be some signage informing people. There needs to be some booklets in rooms with helpful information about the hotel and surrounding area. Air conditioning is maybe something to consider in the restaurant and reception area. Fix the steps to enter the swimming pool. Read less
