We came to Barbados Beach Club for a week to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We just wanted to be on the island we were married at without spending a fortune. This hotel hit the mark. Remember you are staying at a budget friendly hotel and you will be quite happy! Staff - no complaints here...for the most part they were helpful and friendly. Corbin (not sure if I spelled that correctly) was my favourite Food - it’s not a mega resort so not tons of choice but enough. What they had was really yummy and most impressive was that they kept hot food hot and cold food cold. Also very clean. Rooms - clean and adequate. Beds very comfortable and good air conditioning. Clientele - we are Canadian but it seems that this hotel caters to mostly British. All the people we met were very friendly and down to earth...love the Brits! Beach and pool - both small but lovely and never crowded (but we were there in May...could be different in high season?) All in all great trip and we would go back in a heartbeat Read less

First of all do not believe all the negative reviews for this hotel. The hotel is not in the same market place as the far more expensive hotels that you can find in Barbados. What it does provide is an excellent all round service which is really great value for money. The hotel is beautifully situated right by the sea and the standard of accommodation provided is very good.It has 2 restaurants, one of which provides a buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it also has an a la carte restaurant which can be booked for dinner on a Monday, Thursday and Sunday with no additional cover charge,The hotel is fully all inclusive and also provides good Wi Fi throughout the hotel at no extra charge.A safe and hair dryer are also included in the rooms. The hotel is kept very clean and the restaurant decor is of a good standard.A couple of small negative points should be noted and these are that there should be more better class of entertainment provided each evening and because there are a number of birds these tend to fly into the restaurant in the morning and lunch time.My wife and I are wild life lovers as we live in the country but the hotel management could easily resolve this problem by having some transparent roll down blinds installed which could be used during the meal times. My wife and I are staying here at the moment and have stayed in many 4* plus hotels and can honestly say that this hotel represents good value for money. Highly recommended. . Read less

We stayed in room 504 from the 9th of May until the 16th of May 2019. The room was spotlessly cleaned with plenty of hot water and great water pressure EVERY DAY !! . The beach is beautiful and you can walk for hours along it. Which is a good idea to do as that way you can see the other the hotels along the beach that charge the earth to stay there with , in my opinion , absolutely no soul and this is when you realise what a great little hotel the Barbados Beach Club is. The food was very good every day and there was always something we enjoyed with quite a few different choices. The poolside bar was adequately staffed I always saw 1 to 2 people serving depending on the amount of customers. There was NEVER a problem getting a drink. The beach had ample sun beds clean beach towels and parasols all free of charge every day and Ronald and Mark were always on duty. There was entertainment in the evening every night and also extra entertainment during the day on selected days which was very very good. Also the hotel were courteous enough not to let it go on too late so as to be respectful to the guests staying there. But you could still have a drink till late and there was music playing which you could NOT hear from your room. The staff were very friendly and polite too many to mention but I will give it a go. Morrison, Akeem,Cordell 👍 ,Sandra ,Damian Wendy ,Raquel , Ronald, Mark and of course Chrissy the entertainment 👍👍. I am sorry I could not remember every good person there. Gerry the GM ! what a great guy. Always available to talk to you. He bends over backwards to make sure the hotel is running smoothly and you can be assured that he will do his upmost rectifying any unlikely issues or needs you may have. He is such a professional caring person. In all I would say that we were surprised at some of the negative reviews we had read. I thought they must have been reviewing the wrong hotel. But then again it’s all about opinions. I would seriously recommend this hotel for value for money. If you think you can get a better deal by booking separate accommodation and eating out then be prepared to be disappointed. I can assure you that for 2 people eating and drinking out is not cheap in Barbados. The whole of the island is accessible by public transport only a short walk away. One negative... A few guests must have left their manners behind when they left home. HERES A TIP ... Be polite to the staff treat them respectfully and you will be surprised at how respectful they are. Say thank you and please and acknowledge them. It goes a long way. Thank you all at the Barbados Beach Club for a lovey week. Read less

My husband and i travel 5 times per year usually 4 or 5 star, husband is a fussy eater and I’m a hygiene freak! But we prefered this hotel to the riu peninsular in mexico! I have a disability and prefer smaller hotels so i can get around easier. I contacted the hotel in advance and requested a quiet room. On arrival we was checked in by the lovely dionne, our room had a adjoining door this was a no no, so we was then offered a ground floor room which was amazing I loved it, two double beds plenty of storage flat screen tv mirror over dressing table plugs points all in the right places i was happy! Super comfy beds and all very clean, even the free safe had a light in it, free fridge too and kettle on request only. You do not get all this free in europe!! Free no deposit beach towels too! Hairdryer is good also. Toilet had a issue constantly running the maid got it sorted by maintenance so no issue to us. Easy access to bar pool and restaurant this room was perfect for me. The beach is stunning, umbrella man grumpy but we just greeted him with big smiles and chatter to cheer him up! The restaurant managers where delightful and waiting staff attentive, the birds at breakfast amused us, all food and utensils where covered so no issues.ladies and gents must cover up for lunch no open beach wraps i found out. Breakfast was good nice selection fresh cooked eggs etc. they could do with not covering frys on buffet as sends them soggy but for a 3 star we thought the food was good and if fussy hubby couldn’t find anything he liked, chef made him fresh frys! They really couldn’t do enough for you! Chef was fab made beautiful roasts, thank you mr gibson x lce cream on request as melts if left out and its served fresh. I was less keen on the a la carte restaurant (food was good) as it had the ambiance of a community centre it needs redecorating. Deborah on reception arranged trips and car hire for us, great car hire 7 days for around £280 for chevvy spark, driving in barbados is easy same side of road as uk but safer and more courteous than uk good car company do not be afraid to drive here! We didn’t like the tiami catamaran tour they moored a long way from the turtles so i couldn’t swim to them as I’m a weak swimmer but was told Carlyle boat club does a better deal 1/4 of the price wish we found that out earlier! Visit the big sugar factory its great and pegg for a meal, flower cave was pretty and we drove to see amazing views of the east coast. Oistins was fun, st. lawrence gap nice, but don’t walk down the ally opposite hotel at night it’s dangerous. Drinks are limited but ok for 3 star, paper straws so ethical! Respect! And thank you to the barman who gave me the green coconut very kind i loved it! Our only gripes where the entertainment girl, she was never there, bingo and salsa advertised every night but never happened as she was never to be seen! When she was seen it was just dj stint and singing one night, don’t advertise what isn’t going to happen please! Our lovely holiday all went wrong 3 nights before we left when water polo teams of teenagers swamped the hotel and peace was broken, the noise and mess was unreal and manager had to move us to the penthouse suite which i liked less than our original room and was hard to get to due to my disability! But the noise from the youths was unbearable i had a night with hardly any sleep. Please ignore bad reviews we usually do top notch holidays and yet preferred this hotel to many, if you want a boutique hotel go spend 2-3000 pounds more but comparably this is great value on this expensive island. Manager was approachable and friendly, always around with his beautiful wife and baby although less so when the rowdy foul mouthed youths ascended i noticed! Word of advice, although in fashion in europe please do not wear camouflage it is illegal in Barbados! Enjoy this hotel for its lovely staff quirkinesses beautiful location and have a great holiday! Thank you BBC! Read less
