We travelled as a party of 3 (2 adults and a 16 year old) and stayed in one of the luxury suits, it was very well equipped with plenty of room in the bedrooms and the living areas. Check-in was easy and painless with someone on hand to assist with the luggage we were settled in within 10 minutes of arriving, leaving just enough time for a Rum Punch and some dinner at the Sugar Apple cafe (more later). The suite came with a large master bedroom with Super King bed (very comfortable) and a spacious second bedroom with two singles, both rooms had an ensuite and ample storage. The kitchen was well equipped with pretty much everything you could need and the fridge stocked with the items we had pre-ordered (well worth doing). The living area was tastefully decorated with enough room to seat 4 or 5 people comfortably leading onto a large balcony with a sea view. We were in the block closest to the main road and had noted that a few people had issues with noise, whilst there was some road noise, we never found it an issue and couldn't hear it all all once settled for the night with all the windows shut and the fan on. We had also noted that a few people has issues with the air conditioning, again, we didn't find this to be the case, it stayed on whether or not you were in the room and worked a treat, so much so, that we almost never used the main one in the lounge finding that if you left it on in the second bedroom with the door open, it cooled the whole place adequately. We hired a car from The Hut for the duration (except for 1 day where they didn't have one available - should have pre-booked) which was easy and bought a few drinks and icecreams during our 'pool days'. The beach over the road is not particularly accessible but worth the effort for an early morning stroll, if planning a full beach day I would get organised and book a beach club (we used Harbour Lights on Carlisle Bay or Calma Beach Club near Holetown, both very good) rather than try and clamber down carrying the chairs available from The Hut, just our preference. We ate at the Sugar Apple Cafe a few times, really enjoying the breakfasts. Lunch and dinner were fine, but probably better food available for the same price elsewhere on the Island but convenient and perfectly acceptable. If there were a few minor things (these did not detract from a wonderful stay) which would just elevate the stay even further they would be: 1. Reception closes at 18:00hrs, maybe this could be extended until 22:00hrs to assist with booking taxi's or (like us) when you have a late flight home and need somewhere to sit that's not outside. 2. The HUT closes at 15:00hrs, again, this could do to be a bit later. 3. The towels in the bathroom are quite small (I'm 5'8" and a dad bod 12st) and just managed to get it wrapped around me, anyone of a larger size would really struggle, a decent size bath sheet is not a game changer but would be nice. Finally, we attended Robin & Hazel's cocktail party on the Thursday of or second week, this was a lovely touch and a great way to spend a couple of hours. Their house is stunning with sea views to die for and they welcome you in like an old friend. Many thanks for the stay Beach View and we'll definitely be back. Read less

We returned after an almost 5 year break from just before COVID to a 2 bed villa with our son and Daughter in Law who had also visited the island previously but to the Sandals Resort. The villa was great just like last time and gave us a very family type holiday with somewhere to sit and socialise and yet have enough space to do our own things at times. The hotel had coped well it seems with the unusual near passing of Hurricane Beryl less than 48 hours previously. The villa and rest of the hotel was spotless and no issues during our stay. We could always get a sunbed by a pool if we wanted and all 3 pools were used and enjoyed. Nothing to do with the hotel but disappointing to see the extent of the damage to beachside eateries on the West coast and the nearby Paynes Bay beach itself has effectively almost disappeared with about 1.5m depth of sand just gone. What remains is a shadow of itself 5 years ago. It didn't affect us particularly as we prefer the poolside anyway. We also hired a car from the hotel (The Hut) for a few days to explore and eat elsewhere other than immediately around the hotel . Highly recommend doing the Harrison's Caves tour if nothing else and the Mount Gay evening tour with cocktail mixing and dinner. A real great fun night. Read less

5th visit to this wonderful place. Yet again, we had a fabulous time. Always spotlessly clean, friendly staff and a wonderful apartment. We were on the island as hurricane Beryl passed and we were well looked after and felt totally safe. I cannot recommend this place enough, we will be back as always.

The location was convenient for us as we were on a business trip - access to beach is a little walk - Used the villas which was very convenient with in suite bathrooms for each room, grounds are tropical and immaculate. We had challenges with our flights and the reservation staff were very responsive and helpful - Airport transfer also available.
