We stayed for only one night as part of our quarantine whilst waiting for our PCR results to come back. What a little gem of a hotel this is - the staff were so lovely, the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed which was much needed after a long journey from Scotland. The rum punches certainly packed a punch and we had a lovely dinner before retiring to bed early. We were a little disappointed with breakfast as we had paid for a la carte breakfast but received buffet breakfast tokens. I did query this and was told there was more choice on the buffet so we just went ahead with it however I did feel it was a little limited. The beach at the hotel is beautiful and we had a little time on it before checking out and moving on to a villa for 2 weeks. I would happily come back here for a holiday though as it was a lovely hotel. Read less

We have stayed off and on at this Hotel for the past 15 years, with the most recent being 2019 prior to this visit..... What a sad and disappointing change this hotel has gone through 1) WI_FI Hit and Miss and not what one would expect from a hotel that being International ... This is even made worse by the fact that the Island is still on 3G.. So a good WiFi is so important 2) Agressive Front Desk WE.. as like all travellers to Barbados must undergo a PCR test when landing and be fitted with a band on the wrist and it must remain until a negative result is shown up on ones email Fine... no problem ... Our results came through in less than 12 hours i sent the results to the front desk at 5 in the morning i told my wife that all was well So... she removed her band... i didn't ... we went to the front desk and spoke to Alicia .. when she saw my wife had removed her band.. she launched a verbal attack on my wife .. how dare you remove the band .. that is a breach of Barbados and this hotels Protocol ! You can get into serious trouble for doing that if i report you!... I could hardly Believe my ears... ! The second episode was that we were given a room on the 3rd floor despite mentioning we both have heart condition's and that i had bad knees ... We explained that we can handle one flight of stairs and Natasha came back and said they will move us the next morning No problem.... UNTIL we went to see the same Alicia next morning... who reported tat Natasha had NO RIGHT in making such promises It was only after TWO hours that the Finally agreed another room which suited our needs. I would add that the first room also stank..! we realised why when we saw stacks of cigarette buts in the pant trough on the balcony 3) Bar by the pool I was reprimanded for not wearing my mask properly However, the stupidity was that people sat at the bar stools in the POOL were MASKLESS! 4) Restaurant Disastrous ! is the ONLY word to describe our experience.. Hostile Staff Slow and indifferent service and outright rudeness As an example... my wife went to the bar in te restaurant and asked for a bottle of coke the barman who had no name badge but can be identified by his dreadlocks began t o pour a glass of coke from a large bottle .. my wife said that isn't what she wanted .! He came back at her... with Why didn't you make yourself clear the first time...My wife came back to me in tears These are just a couple of examples... of the poor quality of service 4) Rooms We always liked the rooms at this hotel, however, penny pinching has set in the the use of dispensers of soap and shampoo , similar to what you would find in a cheap motel and not in a hotel charging $300 plus per night 5) Social distancing Having been reprimanded over masks and bands and COVID in general.. I find it difficult to understand how tables in the restaurant are so close together with tables being between 1 metre and 1.5 metres apart on Read less

We will definitely visit again and highly recommend Read less

I have just returned from this hotel (first trip to Barbados) and have nothing but positive things to say about it. The hotel is well situated between Oistins and St Lawrence Gap which are both within walking distance. It has its own lovely beach and is right next to Sandals which has a beach with a rock formation in front of it which calms the waves. There are free watersports (kayaking, paddle boarding and boogie boards) and if you want to go jet skiing there is a man called Ellis who rents them off Sandals beach for $60 USD for 30 minutes. The facilities are excellent, including a spacious and well equipped gym and games room and a nice on site shop selling essentials. You can also change Sterling and US dollars for Barbados dollars at reception. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped and there are 3 lovely pools. The on site restaurant, Calabash is well priced and features a small but good quality menu. There is a live singer every Wednesday and A steel drum player on a Sunday. A highlight of this hotel is the staff, from reception to ground staff to cleaning staff, everyone is extremely polite, helpful and will say hello. The reception staff are so welcoming and helpful. The only tiny negative I can mention is regarding the sun loungers. The usual Brit abroad habit of getting up early, draping a towel over several beds then walking away for hours was evident on occasion. If staff could possibly crack down on this it would be the cherry on the cake but otherwise an amazing holiday at a great hotel. Read less
