Butterfly Beach Hotel

Barbados, Caribbean

The hotel

One of the hallmarks of any holiday in Barbados is a night at Oistins’ famous Fish Fry – and you are just a stroll from all the action (and a short drive from lively St Lawrence Gap for other nights out). There is direct access to two fabulous white powder beaches laid out either side by of this seafront hotel. The iridescent blue waters of the Caribbean may be tempting, but you can also take a dip in the freshwater swimming pools – or head up to the raised circular patio for a soak in its trio of waterfront whirlpools or relax on the ample sunning areas with loungers and umbrellas. The sea views steal the show at The Reef Bar & Grill too, with its new seaside deck providing the perfect backdrop for Caribbean dishes, and for its weekly rum punch parties and barbecues accompanied by steel pan sounds. Butterfly Beach Hotel is a great value for money resort in Barbados and a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice award winner.

As I sit here looking out at the Caribbean ocean. Just having eaten the most delicious authentic Caribbean food. It is my last night of 7 staying in what I can only describe as one of the friendliest and caring hotels I’ve ever stayed in. What sets this hotel apart from any I have ever visited is that it feels like a family, the staff who work here are so welcoming. In fact I can honestly say Barbados as an island has been one of the most peaceful and serine islands I have ever been too. Over looking a beautiful and small beach, the rooms are spacious and kept beautifully clean everyday. The security are friendly and the front desk staff are always smiling and willing to do anything to make your stay here memorable. I have met one couple who have been here 26 times! And from what I’ve heard they have many return customers. I will probably choose to set sail to another island in the future. But if I ever came back I would definitely come to visit here. I would like to thank all the staff for making this holiday exceed mexpectations. Thank you Barbados and butterfly beach. Oh and one more mention Deborah in the gift shop. You are a beautiful person and I enjoyed our conversations very much. Read less

We were in room 325 (no lift) but stairs aren't steep so easily navigated. We had a fantastic view of the beach and Oistins in the distance. Our room had 2 single beds, table lamps with sockets to both boil a kettle and charge your mobile, a hair dryer and a safe. There is a/c and a ceiling fan in each room, the fan was enough to keep us cool… Read more

There is a/c and a ceiling fan in each room, the fan was enough to keep us cool during the night. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, food was good (we had half board) and portions generous. Centrally located, shops close by and mini vans stop at the hotel entrance. This is our second stay at Butterfly and it wont be the last! Read less

While this was a quick unexpected trip, I chose this hotel over more expensive ones in the area, nice clean room, impeccably clean washroom, nice balcony, good view,,,not a fancy resort, but clean, good food, friendly staff,,,great value for Barbados.

Superbly clean, food has been outstanding and a great happy hour from 5-6pm every day! The staff are absolutely amazing...so friendly and always smiling and helpful. The beach could be a little better but there are so many beaches to choose from in the area just a quick 5 minute bus ride away. The white busses with the purple stripe pick you up anywhere and drop you anywhere you ask for $3.50 Barbados $ Very handy! Highly recommend this hotel Only thing that bothered me was the $2 charge to change pool towels. A bit cheesy if you ask me. Otherwise a 5 star rating! I'm half bajan and I will be back to stay here again! Can't wait!! Read less
