Coconut Court Beach Hotel

Barbados, Caribbean

The hotel

About as ‘seaside’ as you can get, the Blades family have called this sand-hugging spot home for more than four decades. And they chose a pretty perfect beach for their hotel — which is probably why hundreds of Hawksbill marine turtles call it home too. As you’re here for the beach, the Blades have made sure you’re never far from it, whether you’re lazing on the free loungers, watching moonlight movies on the sands, soaking in the seafront pool and whirlpool, sipping frozen cocktails at the beach bar, or lingering over candlelit suppers at The Deck. The beach itself is lined with beautiful trees to provide natural shelter from the Caribbean rays, so those that don't wish to worship the sun need not worry. It’s not just by the beach though — it’s also steps from South Coast Boardwalk which links you to an array of shops, restaurants and Rockley Beach. The hotel also features an open air restaurant overlooking the white sand beach. Above all else, do not forget to savour a Pirate Punch during one of the several 'happy hours' each day — a traditional Blades family recipe with a twist!

My husband and I just arrived on the island of Barbados on January 16th. We booked a week at the place for our isolation/quarantine time upon arrival. They had someone at the airport to transport us and much luggage to our room at Coconut Court. We had booked the half board food menu which included breakfast and dinner daily and our in-room Covid 2nd test. The staff is very attentive to the Covid protocals and follow them diligently. We could not leave the room until we received our results; which was on January 20th. The food comes from Jake's a little restaurant across the street. Lots of options and they were willing to accommodate us with altering the dishes from time to time. We appreciated that. I would recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Barbados. We will definitely use them for anyone visiting us here during our 12 month stay. Special thanks to Keisha at the reception, Juanne at the gift shop, as well as Angell and Michael at the restaurant. Fabulous hotel and staff. The hotel follow all the Covid rules to the letter. The island is quiet so get booking everyone and help them out. The food is great-huge cooked breakfast, lovely lunches and dinners. Cheerful barman making good cocktails. And of course the incredible beach!

Stayed at CCBH for eleven nights in December 2020. The Blades Family are actively managing this on-the-beach complex. They have added a few wings since I went there in 1998 and put in apartments across the street. The day after I arrived they sent a nurse to test me for COVID. Very convenient. The beach is protected and just perfect with palm trees of course. I went on a few trips including a round-the-island tour with Ted. He is a great lover of the island and shows fantastic enthusiasm about all the sights. By the way, the National Museum is ten minutes away. It is free with a reservation . The first exhibit has a large photo of Rihanna, the most famous Bajan. Breakfast choices are three and all good. My breakfast was included for many of the days! The staff are all friendly and love to chat if you wish. Kitchenette has microwave, fridge and toaster. Mini Mart and Jakes Restaurant are nearby. Jakes delivers at night. You can walk down the beach to join a new boardwalk, very scenic and has a tapas joint along the way. I recommend the Coconut Court for anyone who wants a comfortable and beautiful place in Barbados.
