Coconut Court Beach Hotel

Barbados, Caribbean

The hotel

About as ‘seaside’ as you can get, the Blades family have called this sand-hugging spot home for more than four decades. And they chose a pretty perfect beach for their hotel — which is probably why hundreds of Hawksbill marine turtles call it home too. As you’re here for the beach, the Blades have made sure you’re never far from it, whether you’re lazing on the free loungers, watching moonlight movies on the sands, soaking in the seafront pool and whirlpool, sipping frozen cocktails at the beach bar, or lingering over candlelit suppers at The Deck. The beach itself is lined with beautiful trees to provide natural shelter from the Caribbean rays, so those that don't wish to worship the sun need not worry. It’s not just by the beach though — it’s also steps from South Coast Boardwalk which links you to an array of shops, restaurants and Rockley Beach. The hotel also features an open air restaurant overlooking the white sand beach; and has a free shopping shuttle to Bridgetown if you fancy some retail therapy. Above all else, do not forget to savour a Pirate Punch during one of the several 'happy hours' each day — a traditional Blades family recipe with a twist!

My room was on the top floor (with no lifts) and so had to climb 62 steps from the beach to my room each day, it is a bit of a pull! This is the only negative I can give, everything else was perfect. My room was a superior and I could not believe my view! Wow... absolutely stunning. Our breakfasts each morning were lovely with all you need, beautiful omelettes, bacon, plantain, potatoes, cereals, yoghurts... the list goes on, and the restaurant is in a fabulous position. All the hotel workers were so friendly even though rules were being brought in with the Covid 19. Such a shame all entertainment was stopped, no barbecues or live music. It was extremely quiet as the hotel had experienced alot of cancellations due to the pandemic, this gave us more beach to ourselves, what a beautiful beach it is. I will definitely return as soon as I can but next time it has to be 2 weeks. This place is special, and Barbados is the best place I have ever been, Coconut Court made it even better. Thank you to the Blade family for a truly amazing holiday Read less

5 star across the board, I lived in Rock Dundo in the late 70's & returned March 2020 this time with my wife. I had to do something special for my 50th year the wife always knew how much Barbados & the Bajan's was in my blood & heart. After seeing You tube & face book pictures/videos of Coconut Court, I knew it had to be this hotel. The hotel is graded 3X but feels more due to the service & friendliness of the Blades family & their excellent staff. The hotel has been owned by the Blades for 45 years & it really shows. We stayed in room 98 (In The Meantime) A quirky room plaque they put next to all the rooms, all different phrases & pretty cool. The views are amazing & the first week the menu was full as was the entertainment, unfortunately processes had to be put in place due to the C-19 virus. The Blades did everything they could to protect their guests & staff, & these processes didn't spoil our hard earned holiday at all. We will return next year when the Barbados government once again open the doors & we can all return to this wonderful family owned hotel. The wife & I spent two weeks here & loved every minute. So big up to brothers Ted & Mark, Tisha, Felicia, Boston, Hadfield & all the Blades & staff for giving us wonderful memories. People don't bother with the silly money big all inclusive hotels, stay where they really care about their service & guests. Their food is great & location is excellent with Jake's, Mama Mias restaurants on their doorstep, not forgetting their own Coco's & Captain Charlie's. Also Daddy's convenience shop over the road. See you next year guys/gals keep up the good work. One Love Barbados Ayi🇧🇧😘 Daz & Karen Young Room 98 9th-23rd March 2020 Read less
