Coconut Court Beach Hotel

The hotel

About as ‘seaside’ as you can get, the Blades family have called this sand-hugging spot home for more than four decades. And they chose a pretty perfect beach for their hotel — which is probably why hundreds of Hawksbill marine turtles call it home too. As you’re here for the beach, the Blades have made sure you’re never far from it, whether you’re lazing on the free loungers, watching moonlight movies on the sands, soaking in the seafront pool and whirlpool, sipping frozen cocktails at the beach bar, or lingering over candlelit suppers at The Deck. The beach itself is lined with beautiful trees to provide natural shelter from the Caribbean rays, so those that don't wish to worship the sun need not worry. It’s not just by the beach though — it’s also steps from South Coast Boardwalk which links you to an array of shops, restaurants and Rockley Beach. The hotel also features an open air restaurant overlooking the white sand beach. Above all else, do not forget to savour a Pirate Punch during one of the several 'happy hours' each day — a traditional Blades family recipe with a twist!

The sea…. there are no words and for any snorkel fans the snorkelling at the beach at the hotel was brilliant. You are very close to the boardwalk which is one of the most beautiful walks. There was no problem getting sun beds. Our room was spacious with air con that worked very well. The shower was amazing. The staff were very friendly and were very quick to help. We came all inclusive and the quality of the food was beyond expectation. Not a bad meal was had and as a very fussy eater that is saying something! We had traditional bajan bbqs for lunch a few of the days and the food was amazing. Cannot recommend Barbados and coconut court enough and looking forward to returning next year! Read less

If this is a common occurrence - the ministry of tourism should be made aware as to this poor practice by Coconut Court. Read less

Great location on the beach and easy to get around with transportation right outside and safe to walk to restaurants and bars locally.Rooms are dated however cleaned everyday, would have like tea/coffee/milk provided. Great view over pool and sea. Bedding and towels changed regularly but pillows are very uncomfortable. The staff are mainly friendly and helpful even though the ones who are serving meals have a very difficult job due to unavailability of food and waiting times. Some people having to wait over one hour for food. There are positives however when booking this hotel it showed on the website (which has now changed during our stay) a different menu for 7 days and buffets,so due to likes and dislikes it did accommodate our choices of food and going all inclusive. When we arrived we were informed there was only one menu for lunch and one for dinner. There was only one choice of starter out of 5 for my husband and 2 out of 7 for main meal for a 14 night stay. We were informed on several occasions that our choice mainly on desserts was unavailable. We did go to Jakes over the road , which is a bar and restaurant owned by this hotel which offers some different food choices but was informed we could go there only twice during our stay. Also lunchtime selection included pizzas which were not available throughout our stay. Once you received the food it was very good throughout the stay. Drinks included in the all inclusive were also not available several times and we were told if we wanted others we would have to pay. Eventually after objecting to this we did get another brand without the extra cost. I did give constructive feedback to one of the owners and a manager with a suggestion to offer a couple of different 'specials" at dinner each day as having to chose from a further restricted menu was becoming difficult. There is a buffet on a Sunday, when people living locally come to, so book a table. There was also a buffet on Independence day and the next day ,which was good and they had baked ham so my husband was OK also. If we had known of the reduction of the menus we would not have beeked this hotel.Having paid a lot of money to stay here, I would not recommend this hotel unless you are prepared to have the same menu for the whole time of your stay and prepared for your choice not being available.
