We had a most memorable and magical vacation staying at the Royal Pavilion Fairmont. We were welcomed with open arms from the minute we arrived and left with big hugs when we left. So fortunate to have Chantel there for us upon our arrival 2 days early. She was most kind finding us a superb room with every possible comfort. Jason at the reception was so great with us as well. And of course, Michael Sealy. Such a pleasure to deal with them and others of course and share laughter as well. In the dining room, we had the pleasure to meet Nicole, Tyrisha, Brittany, Tiffany and Sabrina and so many others. Always so attentive and full of smiles. The breakfast was wonderful. So much choice. Later in the day, dont miss the flying fish burger. Delicious. Kevin, the bartender was great and very kind. Peter, who took care of i believe delivering special gift baskets among other things, such a wonderful person to chat with. Cynthia who cleaned our room, among other sweet ladies, was very kind to us and ensured we had anything we needed. On the beach side and pool side, the team of guys were great to us, especially Michael and Ryan. Simon Julian in charge of recreation, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Of course we were so happy to be welcomed by the management at the super cocktail party. It was a pleasure to meet Jean Christophe Martinez and his super team. Pauline, the assistant manager and Robert, Food and Beverage Manager. We felt like family and enjoyed their company. We cannot thank them and all their competent and kind staff enough. We would love to mention everyone. It was so special to spend Christmas with them all in Barbados. It will not be forgotten. I would recommend anyone to go and experience such a paradise. The beach is pristine and beautiful beyond words. The grounds magical with the entertaining green monkeys. Nightly entertainment. Tennis. Catamaran and other activities. We loved it all and wish to go back soon. Thank you everyone so very much.Suzanne Jacques and Pierre Girard, from Montreal, Canada. Read less

Beach was beautiful, not busy, could walk for about a mile with several restaurants/bars. At the Fairmont Beach Club, you could helpful assistance from Ryan with activity ideas and help if you wanted to use their water toys (eg, sailboats, kayaks) or he’d give you ideas for other island fun. Wonderful place where we are spending our last few hours. Thx Ryan and others! Read less

Just a gorgeous place But the real secret of what makes this place particularly and Barbados in general are the people The staff here absolutely made it for us Without any ostentatious crap they just made you feel welcome wanted and made you feel happy. This is why we would probably go back Love loved loved it There are a few things that could do with some attention but when everyone is making you feel special they pale into the background .... Just be ready for the bill !!! If you’ve not been to Barbados before the prices take your breath away ... but it’s the same everywhere on the island and this place actually is pretty good value Read less

I've been a returning guest to the Fairmont for 6 years. I usually go in July so being there in December, their busiest week, from 12/20 – 12/29, was a change. But as busy as everyone was, the staff always had time for me. Charlene, the concierge extraordinaire at the Fairmont, is one of the most positive people on the planet. When I walked into the lobby, she greeted me with a warm hug, and I knew I was home. Tawanda was my reservation specialist. I booked very late, Tawanda's determination to get me a room was epic. The pure magic that Tawanda pulled off for me was humbling and the best Christmas present I’ve received in years. There are more people I want to mention by name so please read the full detail of my review. The rooms are spacious and all have a beachfront view. I love the covered patio with the amazing sunsets and listening to the waves gently crash. The beach is one of the best on the west coast of Barbados. There was always a cushioned chair available with a big umbrella to protect me from the sun. The water is warm and calm. Get the breakfast buffet as part of your room. I’m vegan and so it was my favorite meal of the day. After using the gym, which is sufficient, the breakfast buffet has something for everyone. The food choices at the hotel are good for me, but I’m not a foodie. There are other restaurants a short cab away. The uniqueness of the Fairmont is the people, both the staff and the guests. It’s a place where the kindness never stops. Read less

This is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed at in recent years. We were there for 10 days and were beautifully looked after by Jean-Christophe and his team of attentive staff - particularly the team of butlers. From the moment of our arrival they couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort and address our needs, which made the stress of a sick baby so much more manageable. We had one of the beach-side rooms with our own patio and direct access to the beach from our clean, newly decorated, gorgeous room. In the friendly, relaxed atmosphere we got chatting to several guests who love the place so much they have been coming for more than 25 years! We dined at the newly refurbished Palm Restaurant and had stunning food from their grill - highly recommend. The hotel is also a short walk to one of the hottest restaurants on the Island, the Lone Star, so location is absolutely ideal. An unforgettable trip...who knows maybe we will be repeat guests for years to come too! Read less
