Just arrived and our booked room isn’t available. After a few stressful moments they got us a room that is NOT what we paid for giving us complementary WiFi to compensate. We are still arguing with front desk! Stay tuned and hoping they will give us what we paid for.

We stayed here the last week of January. Due to the weather in NY, our flight was canceled, and rebooked two days later. Luckily, we were able to extend our stay by two nights as well. I couldn’t have been happier with the assistance I received from Tracy in reservations for making this happen! She was a lifesaver. The resort staff was extremely friendly, and seemed genuinely happy making sure we were well taken care of. I hope they know how much we appreciated that. We felt welcome from the minute we walked in. We are both Hilton Gold Members, and received an upgrade to the Executive Floor & Lounge upon arrival. It was a big help not having to pay for breakfast, and being able to pop into the room for complimentary bottled water/soda. To be honest, I did not like the location of the hotel. I found the water at the beach a bit choppy with currents blowing water sideways. Also, we would’ve liked to walk to restaurants, but found the area unwalkable. To take taxis round trip will run you about $100 BD. There didn’t seem to be anything closer. Perhaps I’m wrong? The weather was absolutely beautiful too! I have to say, the thing I’ll remember most about this trip is the staff. From the reservations desk, to concierge, to housekeeping, to towel hut, pool and beach staff, all of you made this a fantastic experience! Read less

That was honestly the most shocking experience in my life! If you come here - save the double amount of the room price. They freeze the room price on your account and then they charge you the full price again couple of days before departure. And they do not just charge - they do it without you permission as they have all your card details. Luckily our bank freezes all transactions that are made without your approval, especially for such a significant amount! So the room price for your stay is frozen already and not available. Then you have to pay again. Plus all extra that you spend during your stay. Which is fine AS LONG AS YOU CHECK ALL THE BILLS PROPERLY. Otherwise, you risk to pay twice more than you are supposed to. Never EVER coming back again. Never had to deal with such a rude staff Read less

This was our 2nd time to Barbados and 2nd time to stay in the Hilton. It was everything we remembered. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every area. Pools and outdoor bar are fabulous. Rooms clean, bright and airy.

Our room was very clean--maid service was excellent. Had hot water at sink immediately every time. Enjoyed the Lighthouse Terrace Restaurant--meals there were avg to above avg. Ate at Water's Edge (poolside bar and grill) several times. Food here is more like bar food--average but good. Staff always courteous. Concierge helpful and located across from reception (check-in). Anytime we needed a taxi there was one in front of hotel that the bellman got for us. Pools were great (upper pool is quieter and is an infinity pool). We had an excellent beach view from our 4th floor room. It was quiet and we never heard doors slamming or our neighbors. We did not eat at the fine dining restaurant and only at at Careenage Bar once, which was typical bar food. They didn't charge my husband for his second drink as we had to wait longer than normal. Always found a beach lounger easily, but hotel was not at full capacity when we visited. Beautiful views of the beach/ocean. Hotel is located on Needham's Point, between Bridgetown and St. Lawrence Gap (perfect). Large campus with many amenities. There are lots of stairs going from lobby down to the pools/beach area, but you can opt for the elevator instead. Would highly recommend this hotel. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 are: food not excellent and there are some minor updates on campus that need to be done, that don't affect the visit, that I have shared with the Hilton. :) Read less
