We leave today for a few days and can not wait to return on Friday to continue our holiday! Read less

Our room was not clean when we arrived. There were stains on the sheets and the drawers had dirt inside them. Needed to wipe everything down before we could put our clothes away. This was exhausting after a long trip. The bathtub did not drain properly so we just avoided it for the rest of our stay. Some of the usual amenities were just absent from the room. Hotel only provided half a bottle of shampoo in the shower and mostly empty moisturizer. Definitely bring your own. Breakfast was good and there was a lot of variety. If you have small children, I definitely recommend taking some fruit, bagels, cucumbers and muffins from there because otherwise they won’t see a fresh fruit or vegetable on the resort for the rest of the day. The Water’s Edge Beach Bar has a kids eat for free menu and another policy that allows half price on the regular menu. But the implementation of this policy is spotty and inconsistent depending on your server. There are no written rules to follow, seems they make it up as they go along. Food is ok and mostly from frozen — see my note above about the breakfast. Housekeeping was dreadful. They came, didn’t come, said they would come but didn’t. It just wasn’t a nice experience at all. Very unwelcoming. The pool is great for little kids as it’s shallow. But it is dated. Some floor tiles were off which made us a bit uncomfortable, risking injury. The beach has lovely sand but was marked as not safe for swimming. And no one was really swimming. Read less

We booked a corner rm through our HH account! Great room! Very clean, spacious with lovely view. If you’re a person that likes taking baths. This isn’t for you. The tub needed a little bleach. My first time in Barbados and I didn’t realize how laid back the resorts are. Had a friend stay at a different resort and her environment was very similar to ours. It’s very dark after 9pm. It’s like being in your personal quiet backyard. Not that I need people stumbling around the lobby. It was just quiet. Like I could hear my echo outside. There’s no music by the pool. Just at the bar. Very low volume. There’s no nothing anywhere! The food was decent, the welcome drink was deelish and the staff was the nicest I’ve seen in a while. There’s no real beach at the hotel. There’s a small inlet type of situation. But it’s not a beach! But, less than a mile from the resort is a great beach area with food trucks and bars. It was a 12$ cab ride for 4 people. All the beaches in this area are public. Which is great for the locals. But At times can be a nuisance to a visitor or a local for that matter. We had a very interesting person kind of lingering around and we didn’t feel very comfortable with him approaching us as closely and as often as he did. Clearly he was abusing some sort of drug. And we are trying to relax on the beach. And yes, I know I’m a visitor. However, we all have to understand our environment. You live on an island that people travel from all over to come to. And yes, we’d like to feel welcomed and safe there just like we would at home. But overall, Barbados is a beautiful place and the people are great! And the Hilton was reasonably priced and well worth it. I don’t feel cheated or like I overpayed! Read less

The prices of Food is higher in Barbados but that's because the Majority is shipped there. Bridgetown is not worth the time, a taxi to Holetown is worth it. Better to pay taxi then rent car as the roads are narrow and they drive on left side and fast. Cons,, For 3 days helped a disabled UK visitor into pool from his wheelchair as this Hilton has NO disable pool access device. That's unacceptable as Paris Hilton could spend less on Tv adds and Hair coloring and install device for disabled visitors. The staff would not help and we're not aloud too! Read less

Hotel and staff were good, my bill was incorrect, but Hilton said that I need to call the hotel directly. Have tried multiple times and end up with voicemail that no one ever responds to. My advice is check your bill before you leave. Hilton Gold Member
