The resort is gorgeous, all great views, fantastic beds. Breakfast buffet is US$ 30 each. A lot for us. Can get a decent breakfast a la carte for about US$ 17 w/o coffee [US$4]. Take your coffee free in room. Had most meals at the outside pool bar and some off site from locals. Two good beaches plus Carlisle Bay is right there for more swimming,… Read more

Take your coffee free in room. Had most meals at the outside pool bar and some off site from locals. Two good beaches plus Carlisle Bay is right there for more swimming, great snorkelling and scuba diving (dive shop on Hilton site-thanks Kira for great refresher & thanks Nicole, dive leader). Only smoking on the beach [thanks Barbados gov't]. Expensive dinner buffet Thursday night (didn't know about it until we arrived there), karioke {sp?} Friday night. BUT, the pool bar was CLOSED Saturday night (hello!). So great resort but food prices very high. Read less

The room was beautiful but a bit dated. The staff is very courteous and friendly but most of what they tell you, particularly about food, is misleading. Skip the buffet, whatever it is, and take a taxi to dinner. Hamburger is inedible and the steak is worst. It’s almost like they are cooking for an enemy. When we tried to voice our concerns… Read more

The beaches and facility itself were great. We were very satisfied with our room, and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at The Grille. For a hotel restaurant, it was far above average. The buffet breakfast was excellent -- something for everyone. The one drawback to the location is that most of the high-end, fine dining restaurants are on the west side of the island which means a $30-40 US dollar cab fare each way each day. Like most resorts, the quality of the staff varies. A special "shout out" to Dominique, Jonathan, Nicolas and Patrick for their extraordinary service. My only complaint is the daily solicitations on the beach from people selling jet ski excursions, massages, and driving, and then there were those just asking for money. Can't the Hilton employ a security person to police the beach? But overall, my husband and I had a great experience. Read less
