Wouldn't recommend anyone with mobility issues to visit, lots of stairways especially to two of the dining areas. I stayed for 2 weeks and suffered from pain and discomfort as the reception staff had advised me that the lift was out of order. In the British Airways information page it stated that the lift would be back in service the day after I arrived, I eventually asked for a meeting with the hotel manager where I then was told one lift was in fact working, I was not told the truth. I emailed British Airways on the 8th of November, just received a bland email today, not acceptable. I was offered use of the functioning lift 3 days before I left. Read less

The first few days of our stay were great however soon went downhill. I asked the bar staff for a Bloody Mary and was told that there supplier had run out of tomato juice and they were unsure when they would get it. We were staying for 15 days so i assumed such a small ask would be met. The exec chef Ronald said he would get this for me the next day morning or lunch at the latest. When i approached him i was told in a very harsh tone "its not even lunchtime yet" it was 10am and i was not given any updates hence me approaching him. It then took a further 5 days for him to get the Tomato juice during this time he was very avoidant and made me and my family feel very uncomfortable in any room we entered that he was in. I have 15 years experience in the hospitality industry and have worked for some of the worlds most recognized brands, alongside all different levels of staff including exec chefs and never in my life have i met someone so vindictive. Even at the end no apology or even eye contact was made from Ronald it was almost like he was counting down the days till our departure. Nobody should ever be made to feel the way he made us feel in life, let alone on a holiday which we spent a large amount of money on and was truly excited for. When i raised this issue to the bar supervisor Analis, he turned the situation around by 360 degrees. He made me a Bloody Mary that day and every single day for the rest of our stay. He was truly the best example of what hospitality is. Always greeting me and my family with a smile and making sure all was ok throughout our stay. He went above and beyond on multiple occasions. Analis is by far the best staff member working at the Savannah his attention to detail is A* he is the perfect ambassador for the Savannah and i truly believe he should be in a higher position to be training all staff to the standards he performs at. Latoya and Tiffany are two other great staff members at the bar who were great throughout out stay keeping up the same welcoming a positive energy throughout our entire stay. I would also like to give a big THANK YOU to Sarah at the kids club who entertained our 2 year old everyday. She really has such a pure soul and the bond between her and my daughter that formed was so lovely to see. The kids club is equipped with the best toddler section keeping the babies engaged and having fun during their time in the club. I would also like to give a big shout out to Beverley and Samantha who offered us the best service at breakfast every morning. Samantha was amazing with our baby always playing with her, engaging and really making us all feel welcome every morning. These staff member's are a true asset to the Savannah and deserve employee recognition. It is great members of staff like the above that make up for the poor behaviors and lack of professionalism from staff members like Ronald ( the executive chef). We experienced a few other issues one being that we were over charged as we were only B&B and paying as we went. I would advise anyone doing this too keep there receipts. If you do not go all inclusive you are seen the bottom of the barrel, everything is more difficult and you cannot get simple things without a whole speech being given. We chose to only have B&B because we had friends on the Island and would be out and about everyday, so all inclusive wouldn't have worked for us. However you should never be made to feel any less than any other guests regardless and that is something this hotel needs to improve and work on. Our room phone was not working and took 3 days too fix we also had issues with our AC unit which took a while to get sorted. We often got told one thing from one person and another thing from someone else. There is no consistency and this is very frustrating when you have issues popping up left right and center. In the end with all the issues we had i called a meeting with the general manager Mr. Best, he was very apologetic and rectified all the issues immediately. Read less

Having just spent 10 nights at at the Savannah Beach Club, I can honestly say it's been my best holiday! From checking in with Theresa at reception and getting to know the amazing, waiting and bar staff, it was the best time. Our room was well appointed with plenty of storage, a massive comfy bed and A/C and a ceiling fan, which was required as it was so hot. The bathroom was a bit tired, but this never affected our stay. Due to low number of guests the restaurants were working on a rotation and you had to check where the meals were being served each day, appart from breakfast which was always in Rachels. Our first meal was in Chopstix and Chef Ronald ensured that any food prepared for my wife and daughter were not contaminated with shellfish. In fact he was heard reminding other guests to use the serving tongs and spoons for the food they were allocated due to this and had any tongs and spoons replaced, when this had happened. The food was excellent and varied, throughout our stay and moved from set menus to buffet style as more guests arrived at the hotel, apart from Chopstix, which always has an a la cart menu. The hotel itself is well laid out with most of the ammenities toward the upper end of the complex, like the restaurants, Rachel's and Chopstix and a bar lounge at Rachels. The fitness studio is next to and below Chopstix, but this was closed during the refurbishment works. Then the games room was on the ground floor along with a few confrence rooms. There was a long lazy river style pool, which runs the from the courtyard, through the garden, down to the pool at Drifters. This pool as bench style seating along one side so you can just sit and chill. The pool at Drifters has a couple of dozen loungers, but most importantly a swim up bar. This is where we spent most of our afternoons after a morning on the beach or out exploring. There was a good range of cocktails and if you know a cocktail and they have the ingredients the staff will make you what you want. Drifters, was where most of the lunches were served until it was damaged by the tropical storm on the Monday 2nd Oct, but the maintenance team and staff did an amazing job getting everything fixed within a couple of days! The beach is beautiful with fine powder sand, with plenty of loungers and some of the bar staff will bring drinks out to you. Although access for swimming was tricky and I walked along Drill Hall Beach, toward the Hilton, as it was less rocky to swim. The hotel is a great location and we went across the road to George Washington's house at the Garrison and along to Pebble beach to see the horses. Finally the best thing about the Savannah Beach Club are the staff, from Theresa and Akeem in reception, who were always jovial and helpful. As well as booking us taxis and the Tiami catamaran trip, which I'd recommend to anybody, to arranging our pick when we were leaving. Kenny, who was always chatty and the bar and waiting staff, with special mentions to Rodger, Richard, Akela and Tiffany, but espcially to Annalis and my man Shem, who were a hoot and kept us laughing when they were on shift.
