We arrived home last week after spending two fantastic weeks at the Savannah Beach and I can't sing it's praises loud enough! We arrived on April 14th and there was no water. For the record this issue was not the hotels fault - it was a fault with the islands supply and to mark the hotel down on here is totally unjust as there wasn't a thing they could do other than be totally sympathetic to the guests and do all they could to help. The water came back on 15/4 thankfully. I've noticed some recent negative reviews on here and to be honest we must have been staying at a different resort. I'd recommend talking to your tour operator as opposed to the hotel if Compensation is what you seek. It's a small hotel right on a quiet beach with a great deal of charm and personality. Might not be for everyone - if it's a faultless experience you seek then Sandy Lane is a short drive and a huge bill up the coast. We had our cases taken to our room by Ryan who was very helpful and attentive. We had clean towels every day and our bed was made and room serviced every day bar one. The maids were very friendly and polite and did a great job. We had cause to call reception as there was a fault with our air con and this was fixed within 15 minutes. Whenever I called at reception i found the service there very friendly and helpful. We had bar service, barbecue's and buffets at Drifters and found the choice and quality excellent. Drinks choice brilliant from the Banks' which i enjoyed to the entire cocktail menu which my wife also enjoyed. Thanks to all the staff who all go the extra mile to make sure your holiday is special! (Thanks for the 10am beers and keeping me hydrated Damian, If you want to watch Live uk football, boxing, cricket etc Damian will point you in the right direction and special huge thanks to Nadia who bought me a bottle of Citronella from home as she noticed that I had been bitten on the legs and didn't want me to suffer - see earlier "go the extra mile" ) We had 3 meals in Chopstix which on each occasion we found excellent both in terms of choice, quality, service and quantity. Rachels for a la carte was brilliant! The Menu changed a couple of times and Jerk Pork, Chicken and Blackened Marlin were my favourites. Wine was abundant and of decent quality. It's worth saying if you're not happy with the choice of drinks you can upgrade - excellent wine list and spirits. The hotel is across the road from the Garrison Savannah Racecourse and we were all set to go but sadly the meeting was rained off! Location is great, walk down the beach for St Lawrence Gap, shops, bars etc or Bridgetown going the other way. Jump on the reggae bus for £1.50 (great experience!). Taxi's readily available We did several excursions and i really would recommend you do the same to get a real feel for the island and it's wonderful people! Mount Gay visit, 360 Island Trip and Harrisons Cave with St Nicolas Abbey Rum Visit a must!! Fridays is for Hoistins Fish Fry and would recommend! Ice cold 7.5 abv Guinness! Could be worth looking at an upgrade on your room. We did, not overly expensive and was the icing on the cake! This is without question the friendliest, most welcoming hotel we have stayed at in the Caribbean and the colleagues working here are a real credit to the management. I would recommend without hesitation and hope to return in the not too distant future. Thanks again all you guys at the Savannah for such a memorable holiday! Read less

This is a fantastic small friendly hotel in a great location on the beach . From the moment we checked in we experienced amazing service from every member of staff . They are all so friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you are well looked after . The food in each of the three restaurants was outstanding with plenty of choice and variety. The A La Carte dining in both “Rachel’s” and “Chopstix” was of a 5 star quality, as were the cocktails served throughout the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and spacious , we stayed in a deluxe pool room and it didn’t disappoint. We had our own balcony overlooking the “ lazy river” pool area with a lovely view of the beach and sea . We would thoroughly recommend this hotel . After having read some of the negative comments prior to our trip I must admit I was a little concerned , however there really was no need to worry at all , it couldn’t have been better . We would have no hesitation in staying here again when we next visit Barbados. Thank you Savannah Beach Club Hotel. Read less
