Modern, clean, right on the gap near bars and resteraunts (can get a bit noisy at night but wasn't a problem for us once you get used to it). Breakfast with a view of the ocean is nice also. Really close to Jann Frank cocktail bar too which is a must if you are on the gap of a night. 10/10

St Lawrence Gap in Barbados is one of the most popular nightspots in Barbados. Located along this one-way street full of restaurants, local street food vendors and bars sits the newly refurbished South Gap Hotel. Following a $6.5m renovation, this hotel has been transformed. The rooms are bright, well furnished, and contain many ingenious storage solutions. They have a mini kitchen with all amenities one would need for a self-catering holiday along with a superb bathroom with a monsoon shower that would accommodate 4 people. Air conditioning and ceiling fan ensure a cool night sleep. Along with this comes a patio overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Views from all the rooms are superb and give the impression of an infinity ocean outside your window. Downstairs, there is a feeling of space where the restaurant opens out onto the decking and stunning swimming pool. Imagine the rear of a multi million pound yacht moored at sea and you get the idea. Extremely well priced, the South Gap hotel offers excellent value, friendly service and amazingly friendly staff right on the ocean front. Read less

My family and I stayed at the South Gap Hotel from April 16-25. Tia Sealy greeted us upon arrival and became a stellar resource for the duration of our trip. She alone made the trip 5 stars. From recommendations to a car service-Harry-who took us on a tour of the island and drove us everywhere we needed to go for the entirety of the trip, to securing spa appointments and restaurant reservations. Tia was phenomenal. Rose, the restaurant manager, and Catrine and CJ were added delights! Catrine and CJ tended to us with painstaking detail each day by the pool. From remembering our breakfast order each day to the constant attentiveness, we couldn't have asked for more. The hotel itself is lovely. Tip-Ask for a room on the main floor or lower floor to quiet the street noise. There is a karaoke bar across the street that kept me awake-it didn't affect the rest of my family. We were in Room 211 and will be back! Read less
