We have recently returned from the Sugar Cane Club Hotel after a two week holiday. This is a delightful all inclusive resort. This is a smaller resort so doesn't have the vast array of restaurants, bars and facilities you may find at some of the larger all inclusive resorts but as far as I am concerned that is a bonus rather than a negative. The hotel isn't on the beach but within walking distance but there is a shuttle bus to take you both to the beach and nearest town. We thoroughly enjoyed the glass bottomed boat trip, it was a priviledge to see the beautiful turtles at such close quarters and the gully walk led by the hotel's gardener who was both entertaining and knowledgable. The food was excellent with a la carte menus for nearly every meal rather than the more usual buffet service. I can't leave a review without mentioning the staff who were so welcoming and helpful they were superb. Really the best way of showing how much I enjoyed our stay is to say I have already booked to go there again at the end of the year, only this time it will be a three week stay and I can't wait to go back. All the reception staff could not be more helpful to name one of many Michelle and Yvette was fab. The food service was equally delicious and the service was second to none thanks to Mark and all the staff. One night we had the food to our room as I had hurt my foot and they looked after me like royalty. I have never felt so looked after safe and valued as a customer and never been treated so well in all my travels A must to visit put it on your bucket list Read less

We’re having a wonderful time at Sugar Cane Bay. First, all the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Secondly, the food is delicious. We’ve had a lovely massage and pedicure and are going back for more in two days. Finally we’re in a wonderful two bedroom suite - Ginger Lily - which has so much space. All in all, a wonderful first visit to Barbados. We’ll be sad to leave in a few days but are already planning our next visit. Read less

The staff were very good and seemed happy to be there and the manageress often appeared at meal times to talk to the guests but also serve and clear plates which was impressive. The food was excellent quality and the menu changed regularly. The fact that most meals were a la carte, rather than a buffet suited us and we enjoyed all the eating venues: the restaurant, round the pool and in Sandy's Chattel bar. We enjoyed going to the beach, the Gully walk and the glass bottomed boat. Read less

Nothing was a problem from the reception ambassadors checking us in, the bar staff, the waiting staff and housekeepers and gardeners they always had a smile and said hello. The restaurants (both of them) were again superb, lovey choice of dishes, local and international. The BBQ evening was great also. Had a great day out on a island tour with the hotels car and driver well worth it - seeing parts of the Island you would otherwise never see. Our garden suite was spotless, very large balcony which over looked ‘the gulley’ which meant we got to see the monkeys everyday - fantastic! The spa was exceptional and so relaxing. Trisha and her team are quite rightly very proud of the service they provide and like many many others we did not want to leave - however already making plans to return! Finally, and think that this sums it up really - nearly all the guests we met were returning for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time so that just spoke volumes to us. Cannot wait to get back by the pool for another chilled break. Thank you all for making our holiday to Barbados so special. Read less
