We arrived 29th September for 10 nights. Fantastically relaxing. Staff very attentive. The food was fabulous, real restaurant quality. The a’la carte menu though small was varied enough throughout the week to mean you didn’t have to eat the same meal twice if you didn’t want to. The cocktails were varied, try as many as you can, Mangotini, Passiontini and Dirty Banana were favourites. The restaurant and bar were terribly understaffed meaning the pool bar was closed, but, after asking the staff came round the pool taking drinks orders, this was a great touch. The pool itself though small was perfect for the amount of guests. With plenty of loungers and chairs for everyone. We met some great people who were thrown together in a beautiful place that none of us originally intended being. The grounds are stunning and well tended by the gardeners. The views over the treetops from the restaurant are amazing. The rooms are spacious and more like suites with bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and a small fully equipped kitchen. Shout outs to Gregory, Ricardo and Ryan, but all of the staff were cracking. We will definitely be back. Points to note - - there is a dress code in the restaurant , but this seemed only to apply to some guests. It should be made clear and apply to everyone. - We booked with TUI, but they added nothing to our holiday, our flight was Virgin Atlantic and there’s no rep on site. - The tap water is drinkable so there is no bottled water given out. We filled jugs and left them in the fridge, but it meant that we didn’t have a bottle to take out. Next time we’ll take some water bottles with us. Read less

Arrived excited just with location! Our private taxi to SCCL with CHANDLER was a tour itself! Explained all the parishes, the sugar cane life, the Barbadian ways and that was just on the way to the hotel! Was greeted by MICHELLE & RYAN, straight away with a welcome rum punch. Was advised of our isolation periods, which in advance I was concerned about- no need to be at all! Grounds, room, bar perfect. Met some nice people including staff. So pros & cons- by NO MEANS COMPLAINTS !!!!!! the staff were amazing - special shout out to RYAN, XAVIER, RICARDO CHRISTIAN & JACOB The rooms were PERFECT! The location was AMAZING The food was FABULOUS- especially the CATCH OF THE DAYS! NOW just CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK : Not ENOUGH STAFF - especially at meals TOWELS needed to be PUT in rooms DAILY ! ( if you ASK YOU GET!) POOL bar - SHOULD be OPEN MORE than the upstairs - especially as the majority of guests were round the pool, and also people with mobility issues. AGAIN - feedback was taken and the already short staff then came down to ask for drink orders ,So thank you. The GORGEOUS RESTAURANT /BAR should of been OPEN - as people would of gone to eat drink and be under cover and it was a beautiful idyllic little secret space.. THAT SHOULD OF BEEN UTILISED. FINALLY, INFORMATION!!! eg There is a gully walk, there are MONKEYS, there IS A SQUASH COURT, ETC. THAT SPeightstown is CLOSED on a Sunday! I can honestly say it's one of The most MEMORABLE PLACES I have visited and we WILL BE BACK , BUT PLEASE JUST DO THE LITTLE THINGS JACOB XXXX Read less

Myself and my partner visited SCC in September, and we can honestly say it was one of the best holidays either of us have ever experienced. Everything about the hotel was fantastic! Accommodation the room/suite was spacious and very well kept. Staff would clean the room every 3 days which was about right. Staff What can I say?! All of the staff at SCC were amazing! Shout out to Xavier, Sharon, Gregory and Christian for going above and beyond to make sure all customers were happy. But that’s not to say the other staff weren’t also great. Everyone was so friendly. I would say that staff were extremely exhausted due to the need to onboard more employees, but I think Jacob was working on this before we left. Food The food quality for an all inclusive hotel was outstanding. Not the usual mass produced trays of food. in fact, I would say the food was better than many restaurants you’d usually visit abroad, and while the menu wasn’t huge, we really couldn’t ask for more. There were more than enough options to mix it up. Presentation of food was superb. Amenities Pool was super relaxed and super authentic with regards to the Barbados vibe. Very relaxing and not overcrowded. While small, this is all part of the SCC’s charm. Poolside bar was closed which was perhaps our only bit of constructive critique here, but I’m sure Jacob is aware of this and will open it up when more staff are onboarded. Overall, every element of our holiday exceeded expectations. You can’t truly understand how lovely this place is until you arrive. We also met some lovely people who we’ll be sure to stay in touch with. Thank you SCC! We’ll be back. Read less
