In a quiet location, a short walk from the beach, the informal Sunbay Hotel is ideal for those seeking an affordable, relaxing base to return to at the end of the day. Chill by the swimming pool with a rum punch — there are two pools to choose from, including one that's adults-only. Guests who prefer terra firma can enjoy preferential tee times at the Barbados Golf Club or double up with other guests for a few rounds of tennis. Start your day with a hearty buffet breakfast, served at the Palm View Restaurant, before heading out for dinner and lively entertainment in nearby St Lawrence Gap, you'll be out dancing until the early hours!

Where is it

On the scenic South coast of Barbados, across the road from a small beach and 3 minutes walk to a larger beach. 10 minutes drive from St Lawrence Gap, world-famous for its bustling atmosphere and nightlife. Oistins is also a short walk away. 20 minutes to Bridgetown. Transfer time from airport: 15 minutes.

104 rooms that are comfortable, and great as a base. All with private balcony, air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi access, mini fridge, tea/coffee maker and safe.

Standard Rooms have either 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults, or 2 double beds sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Superior Rooms with 1 king-size bed, or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Deluxe Rooms with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Hotel I feel is run by gangsters Fire in hotel no smoke alarms People partying til 4 am most mornings Dangerous drinking 2 bar men took advantage of young girl and got a knife out on her Manager sits in back room and hardly made any attempts to sort a prob out where one couple drank and argued all night Was was there 7 days and had 5 nights of disturbances And the manager words were let’s see what happens tonight Same couple argued at pool side most of the day Never agin Food and rooms disgusting - dirty Flies all over food Lots of it but lacked any flavour My room back in to another hotel and all we heard all night was the entertainment from both hotels Staff chatting up the ladies when it’s cleare they have husbands - no respect Best hard of this hotel is the hairdresser He absolute lovely and did job on my hair Read less

Nice spacious room. The microwave in the room was a bonus because we could warm our left overs. The staff was very helpful. Delicious breakfast each morning. The pool was great but it just needs a little face lift on the outside. Some of the pool furniture was a bit tacky but hopefully they can fix soon.

I don’t know where to start! Beautiful staff. From reception to the cleaners to kitchen (especially the lovely Desiree)to maintenance to security. Even helped when my child was sick and couldn’t fly . Nothing was too much. Can’t wait to go back.
