My stay was very poor. I am a local I understand things happen but COME ON! Got to my room happy birthday sign and balloons were still up from the person who stayed in the room before. Food I give a 4/5 Drinks 0 tasted like water. I don’t know where the cocktail went cause it certainly was not in the Mojito that I ordered. Witness persons brought others onto the property taking up 4-6 poolside chairs and me that paid my money can’t get a poolside chair. I saw a woman sitting on the floor in the sun with a towel over her head and no one went to her which left me fuming. I even attached the image of her trying to get up. Hence I cancel my stay and asked for a refund. Management didn’t care didn’t even ask for explanation she clearly didn’t cause the hotel is full. This is so embarrassing. I honestly am disappointed. Heard all these great review to literally get crap rub in my face….. DO BETTER! Read less

We came on a short notice break here due to the challenges in travel and we had the most amazing time. The staff across all of the departments, could not do enough for us and anything that we wanted at anytime was just not a problem. The hotel is also so well situated that you can walk or bus to anywhere you want or if that is not to your liking, you can easily get taxis or arrange organised trips - anything that you want. The team managed the challenges of C19 travel so well, the rooms are good and the food was fantastic. The beach is lovely and great for watersports. Because it was quiet we did feel so lucky to have so much space and we hope to return in the future Read less

To Isabelle thank you for the wonderful reception from the moment we walked through the door, I also say kudos to you for the hands on approach you apply to your job, I watched you being there for your team to get the job done. I admire that. Thank you Christian for your amazing mango margaritas, I highly recommend them. To Tanya, you are an absolute star and a great asset to this resort. You made our first night very memorable. Please never lose that spark. Finally Damien at the front desk thank you for making our first but definitely not our last stay at the sands truly wonderful. We travelled to Barbados on 5th March 2021 on business, Lockdown in UK and Barbados was in full swing and we were not sure what to expect. But we decided to take a chance and I'm glad we did. We had intended to go for a week but it turned out that on arrival in Barbados we had to quarantine in a Government approved Hotel for a period of 5 Days before we could take a Covid-19 test and then wait for 24 - 48 hours for the results. Therefore we decided to make it a two week stay at the Sands Barbados. This would give us a week before we had to fly back to UK. The Sands is a two year old hotel with around 80 rooms, a swimming pool, open sided bar and restaurant and was attached to the most beautiful stretch of soft sandy palm fringed beach in Barbados. Meals and drinks were taken just a couple of metres away from a turquoise sea with waves gently lapping the beach. The food was superb and the drinks perfect. The staff were warm, attenuative and friendly, it really felt that we were with friends all the time. Fellow guests were few and a pleasure to talk to and the owners, Peter and Carol Odle were a truly superb host and hostess. It is a very hard time for the tourist industry as a whole, and Barbados is currently no exception, but we were afforded a warm hospitality at the Sands Barbados which made our visit to the Island one we will never forget. The people of Barbados are very friendly to visitors and I can thoroughly recommend taking a trip to this lovely hotel. Read less

The pool and beach are so beautiful and provide the perfect way to relax and wind down. There are also great amenities near by including the little food market just down the street. The hotel is just a walk away from St Laurence gap where you can enjoy the madness of the social life in Barbados! It provides the perfect balance to allow you to enjoy all the wonderful sights and delights that Barbados has to offer. We cannot speak highly enough of this resort and have no hesitation in recommending it to others 😊 Read less
