Generally an OK place as budget hotels go. The open-plan layout meant that loud music & crowd noise from the bar emanated throughout the whole place and our 1st couple of nights were very disturbed because of it. The breakfast service & selection was good and I opted to "upgrade" the continental selection for a full cooked breakfast which was very enjoyable. Only once did we take dinner (evening meal) in the restaurant and it was disappointing on every level. Service was painfully slow even by Carribean standards, and the food left much to be desired, both in terms of choices & quality of product. Bar service was shambolic, with only one member of the large team apparently able to assemble cocktails which he had to do in between serving food & even taking delivery of supplies! We felt sorry for him and so felt uncomfortable about complaining. Room cleanliness was pretty good, though some scope for improvement, Extraction vent in bathroom was full of dust & grouting of bath tiles showed signs of neglect. Television was very disappointing, as no British channels available at all. Overall whilst we did enjoy our holiday, we would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. Read less

Well we had none of those things, the shower worked fine, WiFi was great in the room and the breakfast was good. It’s continental with cereals, fruit, toast, pancakes, muffins etc. Any cooked items can be added very cheaply - the scrambled eggs are lovely! We had a pool view room which was very clean and spacious with a good sized balcony overlooking the lovely pool area which was very sunny for all the day. We didn’t use the pool as the fabulous beaches and sea are the main attraction for us on Barbados. Dover beach across from the hotel has a seaweed problem at the moment but catch the bus to the amazing Carlisle bay which is totally clear of seaweed and is perfect. Our room was very quiet at night even with the bar downstairs. We stayed last year higher up the Gap and the noise from the bars was awful right into the early hours of the morning. That’s why we chose Time out being further down the Gap and it turned out to be a good decision all round. Will definitely return next time we are in Barbados. Read less

Limited fruit choices, no cheese or meat in what was described as a continental breakfast. Mllk was full of sugar and not fresh. A shame because rooms were good, service was good and pool excellent. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It is very basic but what more would you expect from a 3* hotel. The rooms were clean and smart, the pool area wasnt over crowded and gave you the option of sitting or lounging. The rooms were clean and smart, the pool area wasnt over crowded and gave you the option of sitting or lounging. The bar was underneath my room so id suggest earplugs for Friday and Sundays if you like to go to bed early, goes quiet after 11 but you do still get some noise from the beach bar which is just over the road which isnt the hotels fault. Breakfast was cereal and toast mainly if going B&B but the bar does offer a fry up or other places along the street to breakfasts so you arent stuck for choice. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, they made the place what it is. I would say there are things that i would like to see improved but id certainly still go back to the same hotel as it is Read less
