Loved our time at this resort. Beautiful setting and beautiful beach. I loved that our room was close to the sea. Very clean resort. Amazing staff. 5 stars for the staff. Quaver and Casey were very attentive and efficient. Very pleasant people. Lennisa, our housekeeper did an excellent job and was very personable. The staff at the Diamond Club desk were very helpful and friendly. Caryl is a real asset to the Royalton. The staff at Grazie in the mornings and at lunch were so accommodating and friendly. Top notch staff in all categories. Enjoyed aqua fitness with Kelson and Jeremy. Fun! I would have given resort a 5 star rating if it weren't for the restaurants not having items listed on the menu. I have stayed at 3 to 5 star resorts and have never experienced Items on the menu not being available. On one given night at Grazie only two of the four desserts listed were available and that was early in the evening so those dining later were out of luck. Loved this resort. Would love to return to the Royalton and gorgeous Grenada. Read less

I want to start by saying the Royalton Grenada is NOT a 5 star luxury resort by any stretch of the imagination. I chose Grenada from 3 options provided by a travel agent who was familiar with the Royalton brand and even I was satisfied by some of the reviews I saw in brief. At check in my bf and I were not informed we were not getting the king bed ocean view rm we reserved but found out we had double beds after arriving to our rm. I returned to the front desk and was told rms aren’t guaranteed and that I MAY be able to get a king bed the following day after 4p. After returning to the room, we head to eat at the sub-par Buffett dinner with minimal options and bland food. We return to the room get comfortable and relaxed, step out on the balcony to learn the balcony door lock was broken. My bf saw this as a safety issue and called the front desk. Two gentleman came to “fix” the lock unfortunately this created noise and disruption to our night after a long day of travel. The balcony door still did not latch to close properly. The next day I follow up on the king bed and was told to come to the lobby by 3:30p to check on the king bed, while there we met a woman her sister and niece who were checking in and found out they had a king bed for all three of them instead of the double bed they originally reserved. Nonetheless we were told our room was ready and bell man accompanied use to retrieve our items and take us to our new room. What was odd is they wouldn’t tell me the room number and said I needed to come back to lobby to have our wrist keys updated. This was odd and inconvenient to me but I was focused on making this move as quickly as we could to get back to the beach. The bell man got us to our new room only for the room to not be ready and still filled with cleaning staff questioning the bell man “sent you here” At this point I’m confused and annoyed bc now what? The bellman. Convinced us to leave our items in the closet until our room was ready. I went back down stairs and no one could give me any answers why we were sent to a room that wasn’t ready. I asked to speak to a supervisor I told she went home for the day, our key was updated and we just hung out until we thought our room was ready. Once we got to the room I was immediately dissatisfied as the drain in the shower was disgusting and fixtures in the room were corroded. I have photos of both. Later that even we learned our mini bar refrigerator did not work! At this point I’m upset I reached out to my travel agent who was more upset then I was and began trying reach someone from management. My travel agent made contact with the head of guest services who promised to provide some remedy for our inconveniences and multiple disappointments. I spoke with Rickisha from guest services the following day, she faintly apologetic and seemed as if she just wanted to get us out of her face. She offered 15% off only my scheduled massage and a late check out and I would have to sign a waiver that my issue with the resort was resolved. I explained to her this was not acceptable nor appropriate as my bf was inconvenienced as well why wouldn’t his spa service receive some discount as well. The late checkout is of no relevance as any and every one can receive that having no issues. She then replied in a snarky tone that I could take the offer or leave it. Her comment took me anger and now I was pissed off. I then told her I would leave it and that the resort was crap and her customer service was totally lacking. I told her I would discourage anyone I knew from vacationing at this report. I also cancelled my spa services, I refuse to give an additional penny to this awful place. I did my best to make the best of my remaining days there vowing never to return. I eventually met 2 more guests who had similar room issues and other disappointments. The day before I left I demanded to speak with manager. I told him my issues and shared photos of the room. He was apologetic and asked what he could do to change my feelings about my experience so far. I said an appropriate offer would be something like 50% off our spa services or some kind of voucher for if we decided to return. Long story short the manager Hasani never called me or followed up with me prior to me leaving. His act of caring was just that, and ACT. So I left the following afternoon with utter distaste for the entire place. I am not no for complaining and or expecting something for absolutely no reason. I work in the service industry. After a guest speaks with me they leave happy and sometimes giving me hugs, bc I genuinely care about their experience and I know what I expect so I know how to remedy true valid issues that are presented. The Royalton Grenada manage staff have a lot to learn when it come to service standards. Read less

Jeremy and Kelson were excellent PTs in the gym. Our first morning we went for the HIIT class (I’ve never done one before) and they helped me and my partner through pushing us just the right amount. The gym has excellent equipment and is very clean. Would highly recommend

Check in was well organized for diamond club guests, which moved us from all the other people checking in. We have a beach out room and it was amazing to wake up to the ocean and listen to the sound of the ocean. Opting for the Diamond Club undoubtedly enhanced our stay. Butlers Lister and Ray played a crucial role in ensuring our happiness, demonstrating attentiveness and delivering exceptional service. the diamond club did offer premium liquor and food on the beach. The lack of pina colada was a little sad in my trip as that was my favorite and the only drink I liked, I didn't get the name of the bartender who worked on the beach bar in the diamond area but on my second last day he suggested rum coconut and pineapple juice, I wish I knew this before. Also Franklyn was a good bartender. We had an air conditioned leak and the team fixed it and was completed within less than an hour. We enjoyed Grazie and Taj restaurant. Kelson and Jeremy are awesome fitness instructors! They are energetic and motivating! I took part in the boot camp and HIIT . Super friendly instructors! The night live could use some work it was lacking, my favorite night was the Saturday with the fire show. Read less

We had a fantastic week at the Royalton Grenada. The hotel grounds were spotless and the room (presidential room in Diamond Club) was spacious and immaculate. We spent the majority of our time at the beach. There were plenty of chairs and much needed shade. There is snorkeling directly in front of the beach. The reef is so-so but Grenada isn’t world renowned snorkelling so we weren’t disappointed. Our butlers, Casey and Quaver, made our week amazing. Both of them were so kind, always available with a smile and friendly service. They had a few surprises for us, like noticing my husband’s favourite beer that he’d enjoy in the lobby and bringing a bucket of them to our room. And helped us plan dinners and excursions and always did a lovely turn down service.. The fitness Center is probably one of the best ones I’ve seen at a Caribbean resort in a long time. Great equipment and space. Kelson ran a tough but fun boot camp. Now the food was good, but not mind blowing. I’ve seen reviews that it was awful. That was not our experience and if you are open to trying local food, you’ll find great options at the buffet especially on Grenada night. I also recommend taking the trip to the local Street Food market on Wednesday nights to have local food and live music. Enjoy your trip to Grenada! It is truly a wonderful island! Read less
