We had an excellent 8 night stay at Sandals Grenada. We have been to numerous Sandals properties and this ranks very high on our list. While it wasn't perfect, there was nothing that put any sort of damper on our trip. The room was nice - nothing spectacular and definitely a bit tired, but comfortable and more than adequate. We booked a luxury level room on this trip. We have done all three levels on various trips and opted for a basic room on this occasion. We did spend a bit more for a room with access to a pool, but with a couple dozen rooms sharing the same small pool, it was often crowded and I'm not sure I would go this route again. I definitely prefer the swim-up option, if it's in the budget. However, our housekeeper, Annika, did a great job at keeping the room clean, and the staff responsible for keeping our fridge stocked were outstanding at fulfilling our drink requests. The beach was phenomenal. We never really considered ourselves "beach people", but we spent a lot of time on the beach on this trip and really enjoyed it. It never seemed crowded and was very serene. The drink service on the beach was also top notch. The pools are nice, although the larger pool was a bit too rowdy for our tastes, so we seldom used it. The quiet pool by the beach was a good option for a bit more peace and quiet. We didn't engage much with the entertainment staff on this trip, which is very unusual for us. Most of the daily activities took place at the louder pool, so we seldom made it to them. And I generally love to play beach volleyball, but we were busy doing other things the first few days of the trip and then the beach was getting work done (new sand brought in) and the area surrounding the volleyball net was not accessible during the last 3 or 4 days. I wanted to give a specific shout out to Troy from the watersports team. He is in the main pool every morning at 10:00 for a snuba demo. We had done this before, but my wife didn't have a pleasant experience and was uncertain if she wanted to try it again. Troy took the time to reassure her and made her feel confident about participating at whatever depth she was comfortable and we really enjoyed visiting the underwater sculpture park the following day. I enjoyed it so much that Troy personally took me out himself for an additional snuba trip along a reef near the resort. His level of personal service was commendable. I am going to be sure to have my SCUBA certification before my next trip. The food was great, as usual. We ate at every restaurant for dinner once, and Butch's twice. We liked Butch's best (loved the ribeye) and Neptune's least. The biggest issue with Neptune's were the mosquitoes, which were almost unbearable. As we had a basic room, we had to make our own reservations, but that was no problem with the app. The service at each restaurant seemed much more prompt than what we experienced at other Sandals. We used the spa twice, once for the Scents of Love couples massage and once for a Himalayan salt stone massage. Both were absolutely wonderful. In all, I would absolutely return to this resort and look forward to the opportunity to do so. We will probably visit a few other islands first, but I plan to make a return visit to the Spice Isle at some point in the not too distant future. Read less

Just got back from a week in Grenada and it was really, really good. It was our 5th Sandals stay (prior Royal Bahamian, Negril, Dunn’s River & Saint Vincent) and definitely our favorite. I felt it reminded me most of Negril. We went because when in Saint Vincent earlier this year a spa employee mentioned she was from Grenada (helping get Saint Vincent open) and we should try it next. She was so right! Service is TOP notch in Grenada. EVERYONE is so nice and helpful. Our butlers Teddy, Shane and Marlon did a fantastic job at enhancing our stay. We miss them!! The resort is beautiful, with all of the mature vegetation and all of the elevation. There are some hills to climb here and there, the resort is not flat. The food was the best we’ve had at any Sandals so far, it was actually really good. Soy is always great in our opinion, but the French Restraunt at Grenada was really good too (we went twice). We also really liked the Italian restaurant which we actually disliked in Saint Vincent :) We liked that there were several breakfast options (2 buffets and an a la carte) for variety. The beach was very nice, we spent every day there. Our butlers really outdid themselves with our beach service and bringing BLT’s, fries, Pina Coladas and honestly whatever we wanted every day :) We stayed in a Bi-Level Butler Swim Up Suite that did have a view of the ocean from the room/pool (3203). I was curious about that, as online it looks debatable. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in our room/on the patio a couple times. The swim up pool was our favorite part, we’ll never not do swim up again after St Vincent earlier this year. The room was really nice, and large. I was surprised as online I felt it actually looked smaller. Get the mattress pad! This was our first time doing Butler level and it’s 100% worth it for the great service, the reservation at the beach and the in room bar. The in room bar is top notch!! It is an older resort, and there are some signs of aging but the Sandals team does a great job maintaining and keeping the property up. One of our sliding doors to the patio was stuck, and we didn’t even care but our butler Teddy caught it and MADE SURE that they came and fixed that immediately. We ultimately appreciated it, just shows you how much they care. Some aging here and there on resort and in the room doesn’t bother us, overall it’s really beautiful and well kept! Read less

Our butlers were fantastic ( Thank you Antonio, Glendon, Juvell) they provided excellent service! The resort was on the small side compared to Barbados but it was nice to see the same staff on a consistent basis and they seemed to really enjoy working at the resort. We also recommend Snorkeling at the resort plenty to see right on resort, and the island excursion Safari, tour and River Tubing was perfect. Three days in and we booked Sandals Royal Bahamian 2025, St. Vincent 2026, and plan to circle back to Grenada soon after. Read less

First time to a Sandals resort and our expectations were high due to their reputation and the cost £££. Pros - Large room cleaned well daily (if very dated) Food was excellent Staff very friendly and helpful Cons- Those with butler service got preferential treatment so if you want to spend even more money and have a butler, they will put towels and a full coolbox on sunbeds at the beach and pool at 6.30am. Then the guests rarely turned up to use them, or if they did, it wasn't until around 10.30am/11am, which is totally wrong in my opinion. It was a struggle to get sunbeds with shade because of this and we came down to the beach at 8am so early enough!! French restaurant was shockingly slow. Took us 2hrs and we were still waiting for our desert so walked out. Long trousers....men have to wear long trousers in Butch's Steakhouse and the French restaurant La Jardiniere. Why?? It is boiling degrees and tailored shorts are much smarter than a pair of jeans which was allowed and i saw several men wearing?? This rule needs to change. We are still at the resort and apparently, we have to check out at 11am with suitcases outside the door at 10am. Our flight isn't until after 6pm and if we want to stay in our room for an extra couple of hours (and they have the room availability), we have to pay!! We didn't arrive until late on the day so I don't feel we should have to leave our room early either. Our room is right next to the runway. I am not exaggerating. However, I can honestly say that we haven't been woken up by a plane arriving/taking off. Overall, for what we paid, we have had slightly higher quality or at least on a par with Sandals and not paid nearly this amount. I think Sandals are trading on their name from decades ago and others have overtaken them. For example, Riu Palace in Mexico was 24hr all inclusive, lobster and huge prawns in the main restaurant every night, many different restaurants such as a steakhouse, oriental, Italian, etc, optics in your room with top shelf alcohol such as Johnnie Walker Black Label and Baileys Irish Cream, free 24hr full menu room service.....all this and a lot less money.
