This was our fourth visit to a sandals property , previously been to Ochi, La Toc and Antigua. The flight from the UK is longer than the other island’s as you have to go via St Lucia ( or Antigua) and wait on the plane for an hour but when you land in Grenada it’s literally only 5 mins to the resort so no long transfer. For the first time we chose a luxury level room as we didn’t like the look of the club level rooms ( not many at this resort) and we were not disappointed , we stayed in the south seas hideaway luxury poolside walkout , very spacious, modern and beautifully furnished with luxurious bedding and bathrobes. The shower ( and sink) is in the room with a frosted glass screen which some people may not like but it didn’t bother us , separate toilet and a separate large walk in closet with a safe, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer which was pretty good. There is wine and beer in the fridge along with soft drinks, and tea/coffee facilities, if we were short of anything and we asked it was brought to us immediately ( better service than concierge in Antigua). We had a large patio with a table and chairs , one comfy lounger and a large soaking tub, we spent a lot of time out here it was so relaxing , I didn’t think I’d use the soaking tub when we arrived but I absolutely loved it ( take some pegs for the curtains for modesty) . Right outside of these rooms is a lovely infinity pool with several loungers which we had no problems getting one daily at some point. N.B you have to walk up a steep incline to get to these rooms so may not suit everyone. The resort itself is beautiful, it’s extremely clean and very modern with immaculate gardens. The main pool with the swim up bar was lovely and warm and we managed to find sun loungers most days there too if we wanted them. The beach is fairly small but it’s lovely, it’s in 2 coves and the water is the clearest I’ve seen in the Caribbean and very calm so great for swimming and snorkelling. The food here was mostly excellent probably the best of all sandals we have been to( closely followed by la toc) , superb steaks and lamb chops at Butches so make sure you get booked in when you arrive. Particularly loved spices and the french restaurant as well. We had breakfast most days at spices or the Italian restaurant ( loved the Italian lady that runs this) and the buffets were as always excellent. The staff were overall extremely welcoming and friendly and we met some great people from all over the world. We booked a private driver one day for 4 hours through island routes and he took us all over the island and up into the rain forest and we loved it, the driver was extremely knowledgeable and it really is a beautiful so worth the trip to see the real Grenada . Excellent sunsets from the pier at the resort , lovely to watch the sun go down with a cocktail. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort and we hope to return in the future. Read less

My wife and I went to Grenada towards the end of January 2020. As soon as we landed we were happy to notice that the shuttle trip to the resort was only 5 minutes. We had the Butler service and stayed at one of the rooms with a plunge pool and jacuzzi. The Butler service was excellent. We had three Butlers assigned to us; each of them was very professional, courteous and friendly. The resort, although smaller than others we have visited, had everything in it. The choices of dining was diverse, and we thought the food was great. The weather we encountered was spectacular! The staff helpful. We have traveled to many other island resorts, and I have to say that Sandals Grenada was one of the top best. Here's a list of the negatives: 1) The resort is located on steep grounds. Walking to and from different spots can be arduous after a while. 2) The beach is small, and the ocean space available for swimming is limited. 3) We had credit for some SPA treatments but found out that there was a little more than 12% fee attached to it, and that had nothing to do with the tip we left. Sorry Sandals; we don't like this type of strategies. 4) At the end of our stay we got a bill that included a $2 charge per day that I was not aware of. It turned out to be an optional donation for the growth of the Island. Of course, I left the charge as it was, but got annoyed with the fact they didn't asked me before hand. Read less

We booked our trip with Amy McHugh, from DreamMakers Vacation Services. This was our third trip to Grenada. We’ve been to Jamaica, St. Lucia, Mexico, and a cruise. I think that Grenada is one of the prettiest islands we’ve seen. The resort itself is small, but every area of the resort has been utilized with rooms, restaurants, pools, spa, gym, and beautiful landscaping. The landscaping is amazing! The grass, trees, and flowers are very well maintained. We enjoy hanging out at the main pool. Both of us commented many times, as we floated in the pool, how beautiful the resort was. You can float in the pool, look up, and see all the palm trees, flowers, blue sky, and buildings. There are eight different restaurants to choose from in the evening. They are all good. We think that Grenada has the best food, of all the Sandals we’ve been to. Our favorites were Butch’s, Cucina Romana, Soy, and LaJardinier. The restaurants were very busy every night. At the beginning of our two week stay. Even though our butlers made us reservations in the restaurants, we would still have to wait 30-40 minutes, after our reservation time, before we could get in, or go to a different restaurant . For lunch we would have pizza from Dino’s, burgers from Neptune’s, or whatever our butlers brought us! For breakfast we’d either have it delivered or go the Cucina Romana. There were many foods to choose from. I found a new breakfast treat.....the chocolate covered croissant! Yum! I think the quality and flavor of their food is good. It might have something to do with Grenada being the Spice Island! Our butlers were Sylvika, Kerry, and Christopher, and Tracy (in training). Our butlers were very good and attentive. They’d bring us coffee and lattes every morning after our walks. We stayed in a rondoval this time. We usually stay in the South Seas One Bedroom with infinity pool (MP1), but decided on the rondoval room since there was a sale, and the pool was always cold, in the MP1 room. We were very happy with our choice. The room was spacious enough, had a nice bathtub for two, hot tub, and the pool was warm! I would definitely choose this room again! The only negative about the room is the bed was the most uncomfortable, hard bed I’ve ever slept on. I told our butlers, and they put padding on the bed to make it better. Problem solved! Our butlers spoiled us. They reserved our lounge chairs, made sure we had a cooler filled with beer, water, and champagne, made our dinner and spa reservations, brought snacks or breakfast to the room, and made sure our room had everything we needed. Christopher always made sure we had towel art! Thanks! Sylvika and Tracy served us a romantic dinner, by the pool, from Butch’s. It was also a great surprise when they would bring us a surprise morning/afternoon snack at the pool or in the room. Christopher also brought us a very “special” lunch around the pool one day. Not only did the butlers make sure we had fresh towels, so did our housekeeper, Anika. She made sure the room was cleaned, sheets were changed, we had plenty of towels and shampoo, lotion, and body wash. Teddy, from concierge, always made sure our fridge was stocked with plenty of beer, water, Diet Coke, and wine. The bartenders were very friendly, happy, efficient, and always wanted to make sure everyone was happy with their drinks. From the beginning of the vacation, they would know what you wanted to drink and make sure you had it. Micha, Mario, and Terrel at the main pool were great. Sherene came around the pool to make sure everyone had drinks. She would remember what drinks we liked, called us by name, and would even take time to stop and visit a few minutes. She’s an amazing person, employee, and hard worker. On one of her days off, there were empty cups sitting on the pillars and by the pool, for a while. I told my husband, I knew Sherene wasn’t there, she’d never let them sit there for that long. Rudell Alana, or Razim would always make me the best chocolate martini before dinner! They were wonderful! The water sport guys and gal, we’re always making sure everyone had fresh, clean towels, helping people find loungers, checking the pool/hot tub chemicals, and also cleaning and maintaining the private pools in the rooms. The photographers were all very professional and not intrusive. They would ask if you wanted pictures, but if you said no they respected that. They were never a bother. I would have given the resort 5 stars, but because of the restaurant reservations and, two different times my husband, who has a shellfish allergy, was served a form of shellfish (lobster Mac and cheese or shrimp), we’re only giving it 4 stars. Every time you eat at one of the restaurants you are asked about allergies or dietary restrictions. Yes, they asked, or they were our butlers, and they knew, but he was still served. This is the first time at a Sandals that this has ever happened. We were a little more guarded after this. I’m not sure why this time, but I do know that the resort was at 100% occupancy, and every restaurant was busy, so I’m not sure if this had anything to do with it. We already have our trip planned for next year, and I hope we can give the resort 5 stars then!! We want to thank Peter F., Peter T., Elisabeth, and all their staff for a great 2 weeks! Read less

We had an amazing time at La Source! Our wedding was above and beyond our expectations due to Laurel and the rest of the wedding team on site. We were treated like royalty and every detail and aspect of the wedding was carefully thought out and executed by Laurel who felt like family by the time we left. We tried all the restaurants and like many of the other comments thought the food at all of them was excellent. We stayed in the lovers lagoon suites which was wonderful and a great part of the resort to stay in if you want a more peaceful room. Luckily for us we were relatively unaffected by the Covid situation apart from in our last couple of days a noticeable drop in guest numbers, some restrictions in numbers at the restaurants and fist bumps becoming elbow bumps but the Sandals team handled the emerging global situation very smoothly keeping everyone informed where needed. Thanks for a truly memorable weddingmoon. Read less
