We loved every minute ,the resort is beyond 5 star, the pictures don't do it justice.. We had an awesome island tour and transport time with Dwayne who drove us in his luxury van to a rum tour, handmade chocolates shop with nutmeg ice cream, the water fall, the rainforest where we brought our bananas out and interacted with the most gorgeous monkey down from the trees..we walked the beach stopping for reggae and beer and lunch looking at the waves..we slept well, ate well, and knew we would remember the trip forever.. Big shout out to Calabash ,just wow on dinner for its utter perfection in staff, food, music and atmosphere..amazing.. Read less

Silversands is situated on the Grand Anse beach. My daughter and I stayed here from 22nd to 27th of April 2022. We were picked up in a lovely car by a very charming member of staff and on arrival given cold flannels and a welcome drink. The receptionist was very friendly but also professional and got us checked in no time. First impressions count. The hotel itself is stunning. We were upgraded as it was my daughters birthday from garden view to Ocean view and wow wasn’t that a dream to wake up to and to see sunsets right from our bed or our impressive balcony. All the mod cons from the stylish bracelet to enter your room, switches by your bed for curtains/blinds, the app to see / speak to whomever is at your door, control the air-con and more. The bathroom was luscious - the power shower with different settings including rainfall or immerse yourself in the deep set bath tub which could easily fit 2. Stylish decor and plenty of storage. Blackout blinds. Turn down service and little night treats were offered. Multi TV channels including Netflix. Great WiFi throughout the complex down to the beach. There are also impressive villas with your own private chef and swimming pool (they looked amazing). Perfect for a large party vacay. The 2 restaurants served very delectable meals, the drinks were made just the way I like them. We had a massage and that was a must, the surroundings had the same wow factor as the rest of the hotel. Impeccable throughout the hotel with staff working hard to ensure it’s kept that way. If you want luxury, great service and peace and quiet this is the place to be. There is plenty happening outside the hotel if you want to liven it up on an evening and the Grenadians are all very cool and easy going. No hassle - we felt safe day and night. The thing I have to applaud is that every single member of staff I met - Managers, Events, Receptionist, Bellboy, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Drivers, Gardeners, SPA were ALL smiling, friendly and genuinely appeared to be happy at work which from me is a credit to the brand. Thank you Silversands staff for a great 5 days of nothing is too much attitude. I hope to see you again one day. Read less

Our server was Shonna and our bartender Mr. Merrick made sure that the drinks were constant and strong...we had Grilled Tuna, Ribeye steak, and two servings of rack of lamb...all I can say is that the Restaurant manager Clarista was on the ball with regards to making sure we had a grand time...so If Grenada West Indies is a destination ...Make sure that Silversands is your go to for dinner... Like most of during COVID, the Boston Sojourners had suspended family vacations during the last 2 years. So it was with depleted spirit and high hopes that we arrived at Silversands for a 7 day stay in one of their Seaview Villas. The experience was extraordinary. Let me first say what the Sojourners (husband, wife, two older kids) tend to be looking for in winter resort type of vacation: - beautiful weather - lots of lovely, relaxing places to hang out, play games, talk -- hopefully in the room and in public spaces in the resort - attentive, warm service -- not overbearing or formal - a place that has a sense of spirt / soul - some opportunities to explore interesting surroundings - not too hard to get to Silversands was 5 stars on each of these -- it is hard to imagine a spot that was better aligned with what we are looking for in a winter break. Specifically: - the "villa staff" were amazing. We've stayed in a resort that had so-called butler service before, but this a whole different level than that. This was a set of really kind and on the ball people who were committed to making your stay perfect. It felt a little like the Magical House that helps the family thrive in the Disney movie Encanto, only here, the magic came from the staff. It started when they had put a case of Diet Coke for us in the fridge for our arrival (based on a comment I had made over email), and it got better from there. I used the blender and amazing tropical fruit from the fruit basket. They left me even more amazing tropical fruit, and some special smoothy glasses. You get the idea. We kept in touch with them via a Wechat group chat on our phones. One awesome thing about this was that they didn't give us a lot of instructions about the villa when we checked in. instead, they just answered questions when we had them via Wechat, and immediately dispensed an expert when we needed more help (e.g. connected to the Sonos speaker system). - The beautiful beach that the hotel is on -- Grand Anse -- has a really nice local feeling -- it has not been taken over by tourists like ourselves. In the morning, when I went for runs, it was mostly locals there -- wading in groups in the water, exercising, sweeping up in front their businesses. Everyone greeted me very warmly -- I thought maybe this was to woo tourists and get them to bring their friends to the island (which I will definitely do) -- but a guide we had said Grenadians treat each other the same way. This turned my morning runs a really unique experience. - The hotel connected us to a guide who took us for a day of exploring the island. We visited some lovely and interesting sites, but the highlight was definitely our guide -- Dragon -- who literally seemed to know everyone in Grenada, and was a born teacher. When we were waiting for food at a beautiful cocoa plantation, Dragon got us up out of our chairs to explain some more about what was happening. When a bridge was out and we had to circle back, this was another opportunity for Dragon to tell us more about Grenada. We had an amazing time with him. The terrain is also very hilly and scenic, so just traveling around was engaging. - The villa, the villa, the villa. The view, the rooms, the pool, the outdoor space. No one really wanted to leave -- during the trip, or when the trip was over. Our return flight was delayed, and the hotel could not have been more accommodating. We got a few precious extra hours there. it's a premium option for sure, but I promise you there is bang for the buck. - There were lots of other beautiful public places to hangout at the hotel, and we had many leisurely breakfasts and dinners (we're fussy eaters, and we found lots to eat in both restaurants). However, we did most of our card and Catan playing in the Villa, since it was so incredible. - You can get to Grenada non-stop from JFK in New York City, and the resort is 15 minutes from the airport. Our Villa included VIP service, so immigration and customs consisted of us sitting and having a drink while helpful folks shepherded our passports and documents around. If you're thinking about a family Caribean trip and you value the same things we do (see above), I think you'll be overjoyed with a stay at the Grenada Sivlersands. Read less
