My husband and I (mid-50’s) met my parents (early 80’s) at Half Moon in late February. The reviews don’t adequately describe how wonderful this resort is. We breezed through customs, got our luggage, and easily found the Half Moon lounge in the airport. That said, we hardly needed the lounge because our car arrived very quickly and we arrived at the resort in about 10 minutes. Stacy-Ann checked us in and explained where things were and how things worked. She was great. Fitzgerald drove us to our room and helped us get settled by giving us a room tour. He also gave us more details about where things were. My parents aren’t as mobile as they used to be so he also explained how to get a golf cart to come to the room if we needed one. Although we usually walked over to the main building to get a golf cart, we did call them a few times and never waited very long. We had requested a room near my parents and discovered that they were right next door. We had upper floor rooms in Eclipse, which is what we wanted. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and we took advantage of the sofas on the balcony a few times. The food was awesome! I have a severe shellfish allergy, which everyone took seriously. On our first night, we did discover that the portions were large. After that, we mostly shared entrees and appetizers. We’re not big eaters and found that two or three appetizers and two entrees was plenty for the four of us. For the most part, we sat by the pool. Michelle was usually our server and she was great! We often go to all-inclusive resorts and these were much stronger drinks than we get there. Again, the service was amazing. We never had to scrounge for seats, towels were provided for us quickly once it was clear where we were sitting, and we never worried about our stuff disappearing if we weren’t there. We ate at all the restaurants and all of them were good. I particularly want to mention how delicious the jerk place was. It’s a bit out of the way but is totally worth it. We went twice in the seven days we were there. We shared two entrees (the combo) and each had our own beer. The Friday night barbecue was also really delicious. Because of my allergy, the chef walked me through the buffet to help me figure out what I could eat (which was almost everything). Other people who deserve a shout-out are Danesha at the spa – my husband and I each had two massages – and Errol at the equestrian center. My horseback riding adventure was so fun. My husband golfed at the course at the resort and said it was a beautiful course. There is nothing negative to be said about this resort. We loved every minute of our trip. We slept well, ate well, had the level of adventure we wanted, and did a lot of relaxing by the pool. Read less

It's excellent for kids, who were never bored. we went back and forth between the beach areas and the pool. Watersports, pony rides, etc. Would return for sure. The kids were very sad to leave. I have a few areas of feedback: 1) Towels: There never seemed to be enough towels at any of the beach or pool areas, and dirty towels were just left on chairs for hours. You need to either buy more towels, or clear and wash them much more frequently. This is pretty unforgivable for an upscale beach resort. 2) Service: The service tended to be very slow. Particularly at Segrape, the servers seemed annoyed when we asked for anything and took a very long time. 3) Meal plans: Using a paper card seems very dated. I'd suggest moving to a bracelet system. A true all-inclusive option would also be quite welcome. Read less

Only stayed for one night this time but it was instantly relaxing. Staff is great and grounds are impeccable. The pool at Eclipse is always very relaxing and the staff are always helpful. Looking forward to the next time for a longer stay.

Our experience from start to finish was simply perfection! The resort is beautiful, the staff were welcoming and seemed to learn our preferences in a blink! The beach and pool at the Eclipse were so beautiful and lovely to return to each day. Kenetha was a wonderful part of our day, remembering where we liked to sit and taking care of us in the kindest ways. We are missing her! :). Our room (Junior Suite) was large enough for us traveling with our teenage daughter - lovely in every way as well. The wine, cocktails, restaurants were all delicious and lovely. Our spa experience was terrific. Herga was my massage therapist and i highly recommend her. The coffee shop by the Eclipse made fabulous frozen cappucinos and lattes - yum. We will be returning to Half Moon again and again. Thank you for experience! We are well rested! Read less
