Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Virgin rating

The hotel

Lying on a beautiful, long stretch of private beach, the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa sits within 400 lush acres and is home to an 18th-century sugar plantation. A popular feature here is the iconic swimming pool but guests (kids' especially) also love the Sugar Mill Falls Waterpark, which is the largest in Jamaica. Why not grab a tube and float down the ‘lazy river’ or try one of the slides. There’s also a daily kids' club, leaving you with time to recharge in the full-service spa, or why not try out the Championship golf course. A variety of restaurant options with fine dining and sophisticated wine lists are on-site, with the newly renovated Rum Factory a particular hit, as is the Three Palms, overlooking the beautifully landscaped golf course.

This is a beautiful resort. The food, beverage, and entertainment were all wonderful. The rooms are clean and its a bit dated by its well maintained. One of my favorite resorts here! Excellent food. Great staff. Authentic Jamaican hospitality and overall vibe. Very clean, safe and fun. I visit at least once a year. Great beach for beginner snorkeling if you wanna swim with fish - which is best at about 3ft to 5ft for beginners.

Went Sept 5 to 15. Resort Has nice rooms. Food is good. Pool-no swim up bar. About 110 pool lounges around the pool with only 13 umbrellas for shade, so every early morning if you did not get the umbrella, u will be in sun all day. I do not get it why they so short of umbrellas. The life guard in the pool is sitting in the life guard box which constructed with small hols on the walls and the guard is watching people through the holes, not to mention a huge 6, 1/2 ft bush just outside the life guard booth, that totally is obstructing the guards view, I don't know who can put something like that for people safety. If you like to be at the beach - find another resort. The beach is not walkable, rocks on both sides of the beach. The beach has a sand dune that loungers are placed on it at 45 degree angle. Then u have to roll down the dune to the water. Then climb up the sand dune to get out of the beach. The acrobatics are necessary. The pic view of the beach on their website is so far, that you are unable to notice all the problems. Not recommending. Only to families that want to use lasy river, not the beach Read less
