Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa

Montego Bay, Jamaica

The hotel

Lying on a beautiful, long stretch of private beach, the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa sits within 400 lush acres and is home to an 18th-century sugar plantation. A popular feature here is the iconic swimming pool but guests (kids' especially) also love the Sugar Mill Falls Waterpark, which is the largest in Jamaica. Why not grab a tube and float down the ‘lazy river’ or try one of the slides. There’s also a daily kids' club, leaving you with time to recharge in the full-service spa, or why not try out the Championship golf course. A variety of restaurant options with fine dining and sophisticated wine lists are on-site. The most romantic restaurant is the Three Palms, up on the hillside looking down over the hotel and the sea beyond.

Overall it’s a good resort. Lots to do for kids and families. Not so adult friendly. The adult portion is pretty much forgotten. Don’t expect more than this resort is rated. It’s only a 3 star resort. The food for the most part was very blan. If you’re wanting to walk on a sandy beach this is not the place! For the most part this beach is non-existent. A few places that were good to eat are Annie’s BBQ and Luna Del Mar. Also you can pay extra to eat under the stars that was delicious. Plenty of places to lounge. The entire beach is full of lounge chairs with no open areas to walk the beach. The ocean was very murky and was closed off the entire 7 days. The cricket club has one working pool table and is always dull. Read less

All four are definitely in the right profession! We will definitely be back in the next year or so. I do have to say, of all the places I have traveled , The Rose Hall is by far the best!! Three palms restaurant was just ok but the daily buffet choices are awesome with something for everyone. Jerk hit was delicious too! Super spot for groups. They were able to accommodate our large party of 15 at each meal. The kids loved the lazy river and grabbing pizza by the beach! The adults loved the juice bar and late night coffee shop where we played cards until very late! It is best to stay on the second or third floors so you have easy access to the pool and beach and do not have to wait for the elevator every time. I would definitely stay here again. Read less
