Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Virgin rating

The hotel

Lying on a beautiful, long stretch of private beach, the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa sits within 400 lush acres and is home to an 18th-century sugar plantation. A popular feature here is the iconic swimming pool but guests (kids' especially) also love the Sugar Mill Falls Waterpark, which is the largest in Jamaica. Why not grab a tube and float down the ‘lazy river’ or try one of the slides. There’s also a daily kids' club, leaving you with time to recharge in the full-service spa, or why not try out the Championship golf course. A variety of restaurant options with fine dining and sophisticated wine lists are on-site, with the newly renovated Rum Factory a particular hit, as is the Three Palms, overlooking the beautifully landscaped golf course.

Britannia from the teen club is a really fun and hard worker. I enjoyed playing foosball and fall guys with. She had a great personality and made my time in the game room more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend other kids and teens come and enjoy the game room with her.

Britannia was very helpful with not only me but the other people in the Game room. She was able to adhere to the needs of everybody including myself who was using the game room. She made my experience very memorable and even went as far telling me the various activities that was happening around the resort as well. thank you britannia!

Britannia from entertainment had excellent customer service. She was very insightful on what to do around the resort. This was my first time here and she made my first experience the best ever. She also kept the area cleaned and was very attentive to everyone in the area making sure everyone was safe.

The staff was friendly and accommodating and willing to help out. We were happy with the service overall. We were happy with the facilities for the most part, but thought the room could have been a little bigger. The balcony door was hard to open and close. We enjoyed the beautiful partial ocean view from our room. This resort has beautiful views all around the property actually. The food is pretty good at this resort, however we enjoyed the Jamaica 🇯🇲 day dinner buffet on Saturday the most. The only complaints that I have is the lack of communication from the dinner reservations team. Even though I made dinner reservations online in advance, I didn't get confirmation from anyone and had to rebook at the resort and didn't get a preferred time for dinner reservations at one of the restaurants. I also didn't get any response from anyone at Concierge when inquiring about activities at the resort, inspite of multiple emails sent. I also was dissatisfied with the no shows for pilates and aquasize on the same day. The lazy river and waterslides were definitely the highlight of my trip. Read less

Only thing preventing 5 stars was the check in process, room quality and lack of email responses to pre arrival questions. Check in...took over 30 minutes and no diamond desk. All just to get a room, no explanation of amenities, dining or anything. Leads to long waiting times but cant understand why. Room was slightly upgraded ffrom mtn view to ocean view but besides that the room needs updating. Was very clean and housekeeping was awesome but room is no better than a hampton inn room and you can hear everything in the hallways, not what i need at 630am. We had an ocean view with 2 queens. Waterpark is really fun for the kids and attached to pool bar so adults can hang out near them. Lazy river has some good movement to it. There are 2 slides, one has to be done with a tube. Beach was nice and kept clean, there were warnings abt sea urchins but we never got poked. Food was exceptional for an all inclusive and lots of choices. The jerk hut was a personal fave. We got dining reservations every evening and ate at Buffet a few times as well. The dining reservation staff isnt all that helpful but more like robots. Alcohol...wish they didnt upcharge for premium alcohol but otw fine, plenty of choices and nice touch to have multiple mocktails for the kids, not just virgin colads and daiquiris. Evening activities...pretty decent quality. Magician was awesome as well as slinky the unicyclist and motion the contortionist. Hire your own transfer for airport as its a bit cheaper. Only a 20 min ride and many options, we used Best Jamaica that has a desk at the airport as well. We took the nature walk which was really nice. Got to taste some local fruits and saw some hidden parts of the resort. All in all. A pleasant stay but which there were more free perks, not just discounts, for Lifetime Diamond members, like premium alcohol wld be an easy one. Read less
