Our days started with breakfast (entertained in conversation with Lincoln, Matthew and servers Shaun B, Shevanique and more). My son enjoyed learning about the food. The service from Tonique and Miguel was awesome!! Beautiful smiles always- amazing welcome. The children enjoyed the pool and interacting with Romaine and Oshane. Water sports activity crew of Damian and Amauri had all of us going out on the water everyday. They were all so attentive and friendly. Entertainment crew was lit! Paulina and Ike (can't spell his name -the kids call him "okay" lol) along with the others always had us dancing and feeling great! This was my 2nd time at this resort and I will definitely return. I have to say meeting all the staff enhanced my fun tremendously. They were easy to talk to and the atmosphere they provided made it easy to meet other people from around the world. Love love LOVE 💘 our stay. My 6 yr old is already asking to rebook. Read less

Just returned and had an enjoyable stay. Although the property is older, it is maintained and clean. We stayed in building 1, where one of the elevators was a bit sketchy but we preferred taking the stairs( once we found them). Maid kept the room clean and provided extras when requested. The beds were comfortable. Check-in is at 3 and they are pretty strict with the times. If you are arriving earlier, pack your swimsuits in a smaller bag so you can take advantage of the beach and pool right away. There is a courtesy lounge with bathrooms and changing rooms and a secure room to store your luggage. We stayed mostly by the main pool and on the island beach. There were plenty of lounges around the beach-we had no problem finding seats. The children would have preferred a deeper pool area to swim but I didn’t mind just relaxing in the water. There was a great breeze on the island which kept it comfortable. The resort had pretty views and plenty of activities. We enjoyed all of the non-motorized water sports including snorkeling, kayaking and a ride on the catamaran. We also played tennis, mini-golf and outdoor chess. The food was alright...the buffet had a wide variety of choices-some better than others but there was usually something for everyone. For lunch, there was the jerk hut which was tasty and the burger place which was decent. You could also get hot dogs, nachos and ice cream. We ate at the Italian restaurant twice and the Japanese restaurant. Both were tasty. As expected, liquor is not top shelf but you could get a decent frozen drink and plenty of rum! The staff was friendly and accommodating and really make the experience! The gift shop and small market had reasonable prices and there were craft vendors in daily if you are interested in buying some locally made souvenirs. There were different activities by the pool each day and some type of entertainment each evening. The Jamaican Experience dancers were excellent! There was music in the lobby bar later in the evening and a DJ in the pub/club. This is a 3 star resort and if you keep your expectations reasonable, you will be pleasantly surprised. It is a good value and we returned home happy and relaxed! Read less

Have just returned home from a 2 week break at Holiday Inn. We had a great time and can not fault the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable and maids always asked if we needed anything everyday. The food in the buffet restaurant was really nice and there was a lot of choice and variety of different dishes each day. Breakfast included usual options of sausages, bacon, eggs. There was an omelette station aswell as so many other alternatives. Lunch and dinner was always fresh, and really tasty. Waiters always on hand and offering to get you drinks etc. We ate dinner at the a la carte restaurants a few times. The Italian did a lovely steak and I would really recommend the Jamaican. There is a snack bar at the pool serving cheese burgers etc all day and another snack hut which does ice creams, hotdogs, nachos and popcorn. Pool area was always really active with lots of entertainment day and night! As the hotel is very large there are several beach areas, some quiet if you prefer. The island was beautiful. There are some shops across the road from the hotel where you can buy souvenirs, at a much lower price than the hotel shops. If you’re coming from UK and like to snack I would recommend that you bring crisps and snacks with you as these were expensive on and out of hotel. (3usd for a packet of crisps) All staff at the hotel were always friendly, always happy to help whenever asked. We spoke to some other tourists from other hotels that were more expensive and it didn’t sound like their hotels has as much going for them as Holiday Inn, so I’m glad we picked this one! Excellent value for money and literally no complaints. Read less

Furniture was old and dated and the bathroom in need of update. But. We booked for the beach/island and was not disappointed. Not a fan of the Buffet, scruffy, noisy and hot,, but there was a varied menu, along with indifferent staff. Only ate there for breakfast which was good, and 3 times .Went to all al la carte restaurants. All good, but favourites were jerk hut at night, and Japanese. All the restaurants served up a top rate service. The bars were fine and spirits ok...white wine drinkable, but hated plastic glasses...except for pub which served it in glasses. Cocktails also a Jamaican delight, loved Long Island ice tea. Beaches good, enjoyed adults area. However adults pool not deep enough to swim in. Snacks were exceptional, jerk chicken and pork amazing, along with fish and chips, all served fresh and piping hot. Unfortunately less starred hotels attract some low grade guests, which was a drawback, especially the ones who walked around shirtless in the lobby and bar of an evening. Entertainment was fine in the evening in the lobby bar. To sum up if you want a carefree happy holiday, this is the place for you...it is exceptionally clean, staff take a great pride in, it was probably wonderful in it's day. So keep you expectations low, for accommodation and decor,, and you won,t be dasappointed. Read less
