Cons: -some of the staff were flat out rude -a week long stay we asked for housekeeping only 3x that week and our room was cleaned once!! I'm positive one of the maids turned our sign to do not disturb! We had to call the front desk for toliet paper as they only give you 2 small rolls at a time. -the buffet got boring alot of the same stuff everyday Read less

ADULTS VIP- -VIP lounge - this made it all worth it. Kemar and Jodi were our bartenders for the week and they made some great, strong drinks! Nothing watered down and the gin was Tanqueray, that with a sprite and you're golden! They have REALLY GOOD FOOD! sliders and sandwiches were really good! Jodi and Kemar became good friends to us, they are so sweet and genuinely care about your experience. Please love them and treat them amazing!!! -Adult beach is worth it if you're trying to chill with adults. Beach is sectioned off far away and they have staff to get you drinks. - Swim up bar was nice to have I guess, we had to ask them to turn on some music which was weird, definitely not like a party party vibe. One bartender that was constantly busy but plenty of people sitting around that I think worked there? IDK there were some people I saw not wearing uniforms but I'm pretty sure they worked there. - Safe box was great, housekeeping actually left us a note saying they couldn't clean our room bc the box was open so that was nice! - "Mini-bar" is 4 Red Stripes...... yeah... Catch the restock guy and he'll give you more if you ask. - Room service - came from the VIP lounge so the same food which I loved, lounge has great food! CHECKIN- You're about 10 minutes away from the airport which was amazing! We got there around 9am so the bars weren't open for a "welcome cocktail" so that kind of blew but they let us checkin early and even upgraded our room without asking! Checkout was painless. SMOKING If the main plan to Jamaica is getting marijuana you'll have no problem - it's everywhere! The resort however is pretty much all nonsmoking (including weed), but it's kind of not enforced? IDK There 2 smoking areas, one at the end of the beach by a bunch of beach vendors that you probably want to avoid, and one by the lobby where most people go. We smoked on the beach in the adult beach cabanas and staff walked by but didn't say anything. I think you're fine as long as you're not smoking in the pools or blowing it in kids' faces. There's a balcony with a no smoking sign, just don't blow it in the room and clean up after yourself you'll be fine. IF you want free Jamaican home grown a lot of people were giving it away at the smoking section by the lobby once they had to checkout - score for you!! IF you go to the shack at the end of the beach and get a cake or brownie, I heard it's pretty strong so please be careful. Forrealsies. BEACH- The adult beach was OK, there's a string of buoys that is a marker for the seaweed (I guess) because the fish came right up and swam with you! It's a shallow beach all around, we saw people walking out pretty far that was only ankle deep. Stingrays come right on up in the shallows at night which is cool to see. The adult beach is great if you just want to be in a shallow area and not be around kids. Cabanas are cool, there were plenty of open ones when we were there. We never went to the kid side of the beach. POOLS- Adult pool is super small, and super shallow I think it was 2.5 or 3ft. Yeah there's no like, swimming you could do just float maybe. The bar opens right at 10am, don't try to be too early. Orrett was our bartender most of the time, I think I saw him smile once. We didn't go in the main pool due to being drunk and also there's children. FOOD- -Jerk hut was OK, kind of didn't live up to the hype I read about which was unfortunate. GREAT Jamaican food at De Terrace but avoid the fish, it's better at the Barefoot bar aka burger shack. ALSO the burger shack has great burgers, fries and fish but the peeps working looked like they were over it LOL. -The Japanese was a waste of time and money, you just get a sampler of the sushi and it's not really that good. The teriyaki that was on the hibachi was OK. -Seabreeze with seafood place was my favorite by far, Surf and Turf for the mother freaking win!!!! - Buffett - Buffett was actually good! We ate breakfast there everyday, they have a smoothie setup with fresh fruits and veggies, omelet bar, plenty of meats and fish, waffles, typical stuff. We only ate here for breakfast. NIGHTLIFE: Where?? LOL they had a karaoke night one night but that was really it. They have a Port Royal Pub on the second floor in the main building I think that was the main nightlife but it was lame. You might enjoy it though! Had a one man band on either Friday or Saturday - BOY IM TRYNA HERE SOME BOOTY BOUNCING MUSIC SIR!!! CASINO - all machines no people :( SHOPS- decently priced with tye dye shirts and knick nacks. BARS- Earliest one opens at 10am so make sure if you want mimosas for breakfast you get champagne and take it to your room the night before. I hated the bars didn't open until 10am. TIPPING - Tipping wasn't expected but definitely didn't hurt, especially at the swim up bar. OVERALL: I love Jodi and Kemar, there were some other enjoyable people but there wasn't enough to do, not a lot of entertainment. I think this may be more of a kid friendly resort than adults only. I want to go back JUST TO SEE MY JODI AND KEMAR! Read less

This was our 10th time visiting this resort as a family of 5. We could not ask for more. There is so much to do and so much fun to be had. The welcoming friendly staff, the accommodations, the food and fun are all the reasons that we keep coming back. From the moment of arrival, Ms. Winsome Hooper, Kadesia and Christina are completely accommodating. The rooms are great! They are comfortable and very clean. Once settled in, I cannot say enough about the daily workouts with the best trainer ever, Terry. We start each and every day with a fantastic workout so that the rest of our day we can enjoy all the food and drinks that come with this fabulous resort. The amenities, water sports and restaurants are amazing. We particularly enjoyed the new "Jerk After Dark" where Annagaye, Cleyon, Tashelee and Kadeem couldn't do enough to make our dining experience beyond excellent. The food, ambiance and service was impeccable. All the restaurants are great as well as the buffet were we are always treated with the most pleasant staff. Rochelle, Karen and Latoya are delightful and always remember us, which the kids love. Anika makes the best morning smoothies, Paul makes the best omelets, and Jodi makes the best Jamaican delights. The most important thing is that our kids are happy and having fun all day long. Davia, Lenox, and Theron are some of the staff that work the stage and are so engaging and friendly. While Gary and the rest of the lifeguards not only watch the kids all day but also work the water sports area and give the best Catamaran rides. 10 days wasn't enough, and we cannot wait to go back. Highly recommended!! Read less
