We returned home on February 29th, after spending three amazing weeks in paradise. We were fortunate to spend time with friends, that we met at this resort and who, like us, tried to make it back each year. We enjoyed meeting travellers from all over the Globe, hence the slogan for Jamaica this year 'The Heartbeat Of The World'. As this was our 19th visit, we've seen many changes over the years and the extensive renovations over this past year are outstanding. With tasteful and modern updates to rooms, grounds and common areas including the Jerk Hut, lamp posts, adult pool, bars, etc.etc. they have been busy and the renovations are Brilliant. Thankfully, the staff are the warmest and friendliest people who appreciate visitors as they strive to provide their true, Jamaican hospitality. This is such a welcoming Resort for everyone at every age, where you can indulge, unwind, and enjoy all it has to offer. This All-Inclusive Resort is a longtime world wide favourite and garners great reviews for it's stunning tropical settings and only 9 minutes from the airport. It has lush manicured gardens, impressive views and sunsets, gleaming golden sand, calm waters and an array of colourful sea life. YES! We talked to numerous travellers from around the world, thanks to ALL of you who stopped by The EMBASSY for a chat and a photo op. We thoroughly enjoyed the varied dining options, with 5 restaurants, all different and unique. From The Lounge in building 7 , it offers a quiet escape for food and drink. The now famous Jerk After Dark has people very excited. The Jerk Hut itself is transformed nightly into an experience not to be missed. Outside dining on the beach, truly magical. The Food and the presentation is magnificent. The entire staff were professional, friendly and top notch adding to this one of a kind dining experience. Our group had the steak, lobster, ribs, soup and delectable desserts. We all agreed the evening was fantastic. Another spectacular dining event was beyond our expectation. Valentines dinner on the beach, completely lit by mini-lights, giant lit up LOVE signs, red tall outdoor vases with flowers, and a great choice of music. Our waiter was a seasoned professional, the steak and lobster were great, dessert was excellent and the full package was unforgettable. We stayed in a spacious, beautiful, stylish and completely renovated suite with top notch service from all staff at all levels. Our Jacuzzi tub -WOW! At this Resort, you will find management mingling with guests to ensure that everything is just right. The staff shows dedication, passion, and commitment in their superior service as they work together to create an authentic and unforgettable vacation experience. This hotel is still The Best Bang For Your Buck. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire time we spent in this clean and safe environment that offers something for everyone. As soon as you check-in, you'll chill-out. Sending our sincere thanks and many blessings to the entire staff at the Holiday Inn Resort and the wonderful people of Jamaica. We would like to pass on our extreme gratitude to (one in a million) Winsome Hooper, (our honourable friend) Mr. Larry, (Mr. G.Q.) Devon Wilson, and the one and only, inspirational and supportive mentor who motivates his staff to be the BEST, an exceptional leader, who makes it ALL happen...the #1 G.M. Mr. Clark Lobban. We arrived on the 10th of March for a one week stay. We were gratefully surprised to be upgraded to an Oceanview room in building 1. The room was very clean, beds comfortable, and everything worked properly with a lovely view. We had requested a crib to be brought in for my grandson and it was there before his bedtime, it was study and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always had a smile and entertaining for our grandson. There are plenty of high chairs at the resort, but only one tray. I would recommend bringing a suction type plate/placemat for toddlers. The drinks (banana daiquiris) were delicious, but they did differ from bar to bar, it was always a surprise, the lobby bar had the best! We found the food fresh and plentiful, breakfast omelettes made each morning, we usually ate at the snack bar and jerk hut mid day. Dinner buffet always had a good variety. The Italian and Jamaican a la cartes were very good and easily booked the day before. There were plenty of sun loungers, but there were a few groups that put towels out on them the night before. The beach was perfect for children, my one year old grandson easily walked in the ocean, it was warm and shallow. The resort landscape is very flat, making it easily walkable for all ages. There are both stairs and elevators in the lobby and room buildings making it assessable to everyone. Everything was being cleaned throughout our stay, hand sanitizer was provided at all the restaurants to be used before entering. With travelling with a baby I had emailed the resort prior to arriving and all messages were answered very quickly by Karen, the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The resort itself is looking a little tired, especially the front reception area compared to the newer resorts. We were lucky to purchase the trip at a sale price, I wouldn't be willing to pay full price for this resort, as we travel frequently and have stayed at many different resorts. If you are looking for a quiet restful week you won't go wrong with this resort. This was our third time visiting, first in 2002, 2019 and then this week. Read less

We just got back from 2 weeks at the Holiday Inn Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica. This is a lovely resort with a long beach, plenty of sun loungers with and a unique palm tree’d sandy island. There are quiet area’s for adults on 2 beaches at either end of the resort. The Resort is very clean with cabinets for clients to place empty glasses and used plates etc into which were used by most people. Drinks are served in hard plastic glasses and there is no restriction on using your own cups if you want to. It has several restaurants the main one is buffet. There is a wide selection of well prepared food and show cooking. Their omelettes were delicious. We used the Terrace Restaurant, Jamaican Menu which was ok and the Sorrento Italian which was very nice. Our room had a sea view (most have, others have a garden view) was very comfortable with two large beds. The shower was not very good and the air con could be a little noisy apart from that it was very good. Rooms are made up daily. We had two small issues with our room which were dealt with promptly when we reported them. A coffee filter machine, coffee & tea bags provided, we used it to boil waterto make tea and used our sachets for coffee. There is a wide range of live entertainment every night from 7.30 until 10.30 by the pool then an artist sings in the Lobby Bar til 11.30 and if you enjoy late nights you can go to the Port Royal Pub upstairs for a Disco from 11.30 til 1 am. Pool Towels are provided. We would consider going again. Read less

Stayed at this hotel for a holiday with a friend. The first week was just before Covid 19 took over the world , so I will address the weeks separately. Week 1, amazing resort , clean , well maintained pool and external terrace areas. The rooms are large (bathroom small ) clean and well maintained although a little dated now, we stayed in block 1. The buffet meals had plenty of choice for all tastes , lots of salad and fresh Fruit. Help your self to soft drinks , ice and water . The beach is just heavenly , plenty of clean, modern sun beds , the sands were raked and cleaned every day, as were all communal areas. There were nightly shows and plenty of activities should you wish to join in. The spa facilities are excellent some of the best treatments I have had. 2nd week with flights from the UK suspended and Coronovirus wreaking havoc around the world. The situation was handled well by the whole team on the resort, as numbers dwindled by the hour due to repatriation, the hotel kept everything running , full meal choices , activities and shows still on , even on the last night before the hotel was due to close , a full show was put on for a very limited number of guests. I applaud all who did there part to look after guests, distance us from one another , keeping us in as much holiday normality as they possibly could under the unprecedented circumstances they found the resort and their beloved Jamaica in. I just prey that I get the opportunity to visit this beautiful country and resort again , to fully enjoy and appreciate all that is on offer. Read less

The ambiance as we were seated on the beach with a night sky as a beautiful backdrop. The sound of the water and the excellent service made this the most memorable night of our vacation. We had impeccable service by Anna Gaye, Sheavorn, Nakoya and Clevon. The Jerk Hut was our hang out by day the best Jerk Chicken and Pork any where. But that night we were treated to an elegant dinner I had Lobster tail and loved every bit of it. There was a charge of $29.00 per person but it was well worth it. I would do this again. Read less
