They charged $330USD for a mani-pedi, $80 USD for a shape-up (not a hair cut). $220 for a 50min massage. The ATM machine was empty the whole time I was there which was 5 days. We had a great trip to the Hyatt Zilara. The staff is super nice and warm. All of our needs were met. It was not crowded since it was the start of the COD-19 issues, but the pool and beach were great.

My wife and I went here for our first visit to Jamaica. We have been to multiple other Hyatt Ziva's and Zilara's on both sides of Mexico, which we have always enjoyed. To be clear, unless you are on a group activity, they do not suggest leaving the resort grounds (for good reason). Luckily, with the combined size of the two resorts there is plenty to do and eat for five days without loosing interest. So let's start with the impressive things: -The food here was absolutely the best we have ever had at an all-inclusive resort of this level. Spectacularly well done and absolutely perfection. We enjoyed all Restaurants, but our favorites were Zilara's Heatz and Ziva's Brazilian Steakhouse. -The security level within the resort was just plain impressive, but in no way uncomfortable. -They rotate the water activities which allows different activities for the proper conditions. The most amazing was the four person catamaran sailing. It was awesome to be taken out 500 yards from the resort and be able to look back on the mountains, water, and resort. There is fun waves and beautiful water. Some points of interest and concern: -The beach was not very good compared to Cancun. The Zilara beach side was rocky and the bottom full of seaweed, not sand. The Ziva beach side was much better, but only 3 feet deep. Good for kids, but not really adults. -The weather in February was all over the place, but most days you get rain sometime during the day. It often rains late at night into the morning, sometimes until noon. If it does you get perfect outdoor evenings, otherwise the oposite holds true. Just be prepared, and plan accordingly. -Pool side service - Honestly it was not very good. Having been to three other Hyatt Zilara/Ziva's, they were all so much better. Other Hyatt Zilara/Ziva's were more attentive, more available, and more happy than in Jamaica. Obviously, you can always go to the bar yourself, and get drinks easily. -The Zilara spa is very small, has a great location, but is pretty pricey. Actual Resort issues: -The insane electric cart driving speeds on the path between Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva at night. With all the hotels obvious other safety precautions, this was just confusing and scary at times. I saw and was involved in, so many near misses with an electric cart speeding around the corner and almost hitting people on the walking path. Trust me you don't want to get hurt in Jamaica, their medical care is considered third world level. -The lack of enforcement of the smoking policy in Zilara. Smoking on the balconies, smoking beside the pool, and smoking on the beach. This is a serious problem at Zilara, specifically if you are a non-smoker or sensitive to it. It is much less of a problem on the family Ziva side. Overall a nice resort, but definitely significantly more expensive than Cancun, and much more confining. Read less

The staff was professional, thoughtful, friendly and FUN. Note that guests at the Zilara can use restaurants at the Ziva. There are enough options here for food to keep you busy for a whole week but we loved Fusionz and Jerkz. We stayed here Mar 15-18 2020 and the resort was undergoing major changes due to the downturn in tourism and closing of Jamaica’s borders. The employees took such good care of us, despite their own fears for the future of tourism. Check this place out once the global craziness is over! They deserve your business. Read less
