The staff was amazing: Kelly Anne, the activities coordinator, her energy and personality is unmatched. Annique at the front desk, quickly resolved any needs. The swim up bar staff (Mortimer, Ronaldo, Andre, Bryan, Chantelle), quickly learned our preferences, greeted us daily by name and never let our glasses be empty. This was truly a 9 day trip to paradise. Read less

Our room was clean and very spacious. The staff is what really shines at this resort. The staff puts their hand over their heart and greets you. This gesture means service from the heart. No problem mon That’s their motto and it’s true. Need marches for a cigar? The waiter brought me a lighter to keep. I Asked a hostess where we could get mimosas before the bars opened(this was 8am) She came back with 2 glasses of bubbly and OJ. We had a wonderful 4 day 3 night stay at Hyatt Zilara rose Hall Jamaica. Pools: There is one adults only pool and one family pool. They are both large and don’t feel crowded and there was plenty of staff to take drink orders. Our favorite was the frozen dirty banana. The family pool has a b-ball hoop and volleyball net for the kids. There are also plenty of rooms that have swim out access from their balconies. Beach: The adults Zilara beach was nice but was not very clear because of seaweed. The chairs were normal mesh lounge chairs with out cushions. The Ziva beach was much nicer with less seaweed and cushioned chairs and many more umbrellas. Either beach had plenty of staff taking drink orders. We spent more time at the beach than the pools. Rooms: We used points and had to have two reservations one with two double beds for the first two nights and then a reservation with a king bed for one night. They were both in the same building just different floors. One thing that was interesting was that the outdoor furniture was much nicer in the double bed room. Maybe they refresh furniture by floors and our second room hasn’t had that upgrade yet. Overall both rooms beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious as well. The mini bar was stocked with Red Stripe beer (both regular and light) bottles of coke and coke light, juice boxes, and water bottles. They were always happy two stock more items of our choosing. We opted for extra light beer and waters. Gym: We actually didn’t use the gym but I did stop by to check it out. It was by far the nicest gym I have seen at a resort. There were two gyms, one was two stories. Their was plenty of cardio equipment, free weights, Trx equipment, and spin and fitness class areas. It was really impressive. There was also a tennis court. *** we did try the water aerobics in the pool and it was an excellent workout. Food: Overall I was very pleased with the quality of food. The hype is real- the jerk chicken stands are legit. I ate this everyday for lunch. The main breakfast buffet was excellent, we both had fresh made omelets each morning. We ate dinner at the Asian and French restaurants. The French was our favorite. We couldn’t decide what to order for our main course so we ordered 3! It’s all inclusive so it’s no problem mon. I recommend the lamb chops. We chose the wok option at the Asian restaurant. This was nice because it’s family style seating so you get to talk to new people. We had a blast meeting new couples. One night before an excursion offsite we ordered room service. The food was above average for room service so we were happy with it. Resort layout: The Hyatt Zilara shares grounds with the family friendly Ziva. This was not a problem for us but some people may want to see no kids during the stay. If that’s the case this may not be for you because many of the restaurants are on the family friendly side. Overall we loved this resort and would definitely return. I believe this is the 7th all inclusive resort we have tried and it is definitely in the top 3. Read less

This was our first trip to Jamaica so we weren’t sure what to expect. We read plenty of positive and negative reviews with several resorts in the Montego Bay Area and chose the Hyatt Zilara (Adults- All Inclusive). Upon arrival through customs we were greeted by the Hyatt Zilara staff to start the pre-check in process and waited for our transportation to the resort. Check in was pretty fast and even better with a surprise upgrade! One downfall was they didn’t give us any details of the activities that would be offered throughout our stay, which I think is important. Our pool suite was amazing with a swim up porch that connected to the main pool. We felt safe throughout the whole stay, security throughout the resort, staff was super friendly and always willing to help and make sure we were satisfied. The concierge service was very accommodating in helping me plan surprises for my new fiancé as we got engaged on this trip! They planned deserts and wine in our room after dinner. Food/alcohol: Food was hit or miss, lunch the first day at Horizons was super dry and not very tasty. The restaurant in the Zilara lobby was decent for dinner, the sea bass was dry as well but the beef filet was very good but a very small portion. The Fish tacos were amazing at the Calypzo grill, they also had a pizza oven with jerk chicken pizza. We ate there for lunch two days in a row. The Italian restaurant was good, but had very small portion sizes and pretty basic. We went there the night of our engagement so we celebrated with an overpriced bottle of wine! We dined at the Brazilian steak house the last night that had great choices of meats!! Fusion Asian cuisine had many options and was pretty tasty as well even though I had to pay for a “speciality beer”, which I felt should have been included. Regular drinks and house wine were all included. The top shelf wine was very expensive (over priced- but somewhat expected). Julio at the Urban restaurant hosted a complimentary wine tasting, he was super knowledgeable and made it a fun activity to do on vacation. Damion at the cigar shop did a great job with providing all kinds of detail about the cigars he had in his shop. He was very passionate about it and would definitely recommend stopping by for a visit! The sweet shop was interesting and you could pretty much have anything and everything in there, cookies and cream ice cream was only there for the first night but was definitely the best!! Resort did a good job with having different types of entertainment each evening for the kids and even the adults. The last night we stayed they hosted a casino night which was pretty cool as they had a platform set up over the pool. The Spa treatments were a little over the top on price so it wasn’t anything that interested us. Overall, we will be planning a return trip in the future!! Read less

Property was nice. Staff was very attentive and nice. Only complaint was that it advertises to be a non-smoking property and there were people smoking everywhere. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay.
