Ocean Eden Bay has potential but ultimately the service here ruined my first trip to Jamaica. Our first night there, we found multiple cockroaches in our room. We spoke with the front desk about it the next morning and were told the “manager” would reach out. We received no response for the remainder of the day and only after calling the front desk multiple times did they send someone at 10:45PM to offer a room change. As it was late and our group had a dinner reservation to get to, we were told we can complete the transfer in the morning. Upon arriving at the front desk the next morning, we were told they had no record of anyone contacting us for the room change and would have to wait for the “manager” to reach out again. After immediately speaking with guest services, they said a new room will be ready between 3-5PM. After moving our items into the new room, we realized the lock did not work. I had to go back to guest services and they sent someone right away to fix it. I spent most of my short stay dealing with these issues and could not fully enjoy my time. The customer service at the front desk is poor. As it is the main point of contact for your guests, service training should be a top priority versus leaving the bad attitudes for guest services to clean up. Ultimately I enjoyed the few dining options I got to experience (Davina was truly a gem during our stay here), the pools and parties were also great. I truly wish we didn’t run into these issues as our perspective of the resort would have been much more positive. Read less

The food was tasteless, whenever your request was in stock. If your thinking your going to have traditional food like oxtails don’t go there!!!!. They never served it my whole weeks stay. The whiting fish escovitch was overcooked and tasteless. The porridge was unflavored Quaker Oats. Half of the food ordered in the restaurants were ALWAYS OUT OF STOCK! Aside from the food ….. for the beach lovers ….. if you’re not on the privilege side get ready to cut your feet when walking in the water, even with water shoes on. Nothing but rocks. And if you go to the privileged section for just a quick swim they tell you you can’t (basically go get cut over there)….. just very OVERRATED! I would never EVER recommend!!!! The rooms gave doctor office vibes with the decor. Just all across not good especially for the prices!!!! Read less

Stayed in the adult only side, which was great, beautiful rooms, and lovely grounds, pools and layout, the beach was very underwhelming however, small and rocky. My biggest issue was the “Privilege” club, which if you are not a member of, makes it very difficult to book restaurants , and we could not get into the live show with a meal, at all. Cocktails were average at best, frozen fruity slush loaded with overproof rum, unless you paid extra, you could only have average spirits, If you want real 5 star go to Sandals, NO tipping is allowed, and ALL drinks are included. Ate mostly at the captains table which was better than the other restaurants which we managed to get into. We had the steak one night, which was poor, a very tough rib eye steak, but I have to say Desroy our waiter, was the best we had on our entire 3 location Jamaican Holliday, I suggest you put him at the head of training. The live reggae bands were excellent, but why oh why oh way did we have to endure a loop of music which was the same every day, and American Muzak. Enjoyed our stay very much, needs a few tweaks though, in particular the privilege club, Read less
