The hotel

The small, intimate, All Inclusive Royal Decameron offers a good standard of accommodation, with the low rise resort boasting stunning ocean views. Staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms are clean and spacious. One pool is shaded for those seeking a respite from the sun, or head to the beach to soak up some rays and enjoy the sea breeze. 144 rooms. All with balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe* (approximately USD 2 per day), iron and ironing board, WiFi access*, bathroom amenities, and hairdryer. Ocean View Rooms with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (up to 12 years of age). All have full or partial ocean views.

All Inclusive of: all meals and drinks by the glass. Midday and midnight snacks. Non-motorised water sports (kayak, sailboat and water bicycle trips).

This was rated as a five star resort…it was closer to a three star. The resort was quite run down and needed a major renovation. The food was average lots of jerk chicken, jerk pork, jerk beef and jerk sausage…literally no sea food… not a great variety… the bread was great and fresh daily..no safe for three days, no hair dryer for the first three… Read more

The food was average lots of jerk chicken, jerk pork, jerk beef and jerk sausage…literally no sea food… not a great variety… the bread was great and fresh daily..no safe for three days, no hair dryer for the first three or four days. Had to call the front desk a number of times to get the room done up. Pillows were well past there best before date. Some of the staff could use a lesson on being friendly. I tipped everyone.. not big tips but aleast I left tips but some staff were pretty grumpy. The beach was very nice and the ocean was great Read less

The mattress was hard and difficult to sleep on. Bathroom had limited lighting only over the sink,no any soap dishes in the shower. Build-up of dirt in the bathroom. The drapes in the room were dirty and faded with holes. The food was gross.

We will miss Jamaica but Decameron is the place to stay with all these friendly staff from the hotel I got here and the supervisor Karla-deen allow all of us in and get us beverages at the bar our rooms was ok and also shadean we love our

On my visit to Jamaican and Decameron we met a lot of welcoming dining room staff and a pleasant supervisor Karla-deen and shadean service was good and we will be back soon the bartenders at the bar was ok and friendly in the morning we Mitchell the supervisor she was also pleasant

Some final thoughts about our 3rd 10 day stay at RDMB. 1. We have nowhere near the stays as some who have been coming here for years, as such we respect your observations and opinions of changes and decline of the building over the years. Yes it needs a serious upgrade however regular maintenance and cleaning is being continued daily. 2. In our experience only during the last ten days it’s been amazing because the staff and onsite management made it so. 3. Amenities and cleanliness have been good, e.g. toiletries, towels, housekeeping, plumbing have certainly been up to expectations for a 3 star rated resort. 4. Food, drink and general atmosphere have been above expectations. 5. Finally to the on-site management & staff. These people are all 5 Star. Thank you for a wonderful vacation experience once again.
