An adult-only resort, Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay is Unlimited-Luxury® with an incredible range of amenities at your disposal. Designed in contemporary style and splashed with indigenous art, all suites are supremely comfortable with gorgeous king or queen-size beds, a full entertainment system, and a hot tub. While I will have a drink, I really don't enjoy them so I just don't partake. Because of this, we focus a bit more on everything else. This trip was a Return to Our Honeymoon, seven years ago. We loved everything about that trip; this trip was a little different. The grounds are immaculate. Everything is pristine inside the buildings and especially the grounds. The room was nice, spacious, with a stunning view. However, there was (needed) construction on the retaining wall, blocking our honeymoon spot on the beach. A beautiful (and brilliant) Jamaica sign was added for photos. Unfortunately, in the evening, a light turned on that blinded you if you looked in the direction of the ocean. This heavily impacted our trip as nights on the balcony were a big part of our fun. All of the food was fantastic! I mean, so delicious regardless where you choose to eat. Everyone we encountered was friendly, courteous, and made us feel welcome. Having said that, our biggest issue was room service. Ordered twice: the first time we waited 1.5 hours (after calling) only to get an order that wasn't ours. The second time, after multiple calls, 2.5 hours later we said just send us anything, it's midnight, we're leaving tomorrow and we want to go to sleep. We got nothing so for our last night we didn't have dinner. Overall, it's a beautiful place and if we drank, hands down, it's worth it. For us, we will be looking else-where for our next trip. I am not even sure where to begin. I would not stay at this resort again unless they have major improvements and updates. The rooms were very outdated. We moved rooms twice because of the moldy/mildew smell. We finally gave up because I was tired of complaining and moving. We saw roaches in the hallways and the lobby. Once of our friends had to move rooms 3 times and all 3 rooms had roaches. Management claims they weren’t aware of a roach problem but we believe they are aware but don’t want the place shut down. The overall cleanliness of the room wasn’t great. Good thing I brought my own cleaning supplies to wipe down and disinfect. Housekeeping won’t give you fresh sheets unless you ask for them. All of the restaurants had extremely long waits for food. And the portions were so small once you finally got your food. I had to stop at the jerk chicken grill every night because I was still hungry. The staff was very friendly unless you complained or asked for something. Then they started treating you as an inconvenience to them. The energy shifted if they could sense that you weren’t happy. If you seemed happy, then they were nice to you. I am not happy considering the amount of money we paid to stay here. I only enjoyed myself because we made the most of it with our friends and excursions. But for the amount they charge per night, I expected a luxury resort. This definitely was not luxury. Read less

No way I paid this much and received the service that I did. Staff rude and off putting. Met with attitude and reluctance if I needed assistance at the front desk. Check in and check out procedures incredibly long/drawn out and unorganized.
