This is a really beautiful hotel. We were well received and taken care for the entire stay. Beach great, rocky in some parts shallow for non swimmers. Jamaica Grill food was excellent. Great food choice. Angie, front desk staff was very courteous. Latoya, pool side staff, so welcoming. Night time entertainment was good.

- [ ] We arrived at the hotel around 11pm with two tired children. When we checked in we were told that our room doesn’t fit 4 of us in. I explained that we booked through virgin (the reason why we picked this hotel as Virgin are meant to use good hotels) and in their brochure it says family room with rooftop jacuzzi 2 adults and 2kids. She said they always say that. She didn’t try and help with options she just stood there with no care in the world as couldn’t be bothered to be there. Later we found out that 99% of the staff at this hotel had this attitude. I asked for an upgrade or downgrade. She said they were full. I said let me see the room and see if it’s big enough. We went up and the room had a sofa bed. Big enough for 2 young children. Not sure what the fuss was about. They knew the room was for children but failed to make the bed so at midnight I had to asked to bedsheets and make the bed myself. The bed was quite bad for the kids so we padded it out with pillows. The next day we went for breakfast. I like to look around the hotel and become familiar with toilets/activities etc for the kids. I liked the way the restaurants were layed out, all together like a boulevard/avenue. The breakfast was in the buffet. We became aware as time went on that the buffet food was very poor. The staff couldn’t be bothered to be there and dragged their feet. The food choice was ALWAYS the same on every night. Never different which was very boring. They ran out of desserts quick and they didn’t get filled. The chairs were like a wire/rattan style and most of the cushions were missing so they were uncomfortable. You asked for something and never got it. Poor service Red snapper was better food in the daytime. I went to reception to ask where to book the Restaurants. I was told at the desk near the buffet. Went there was looked at in confusion and was told to come back another time. Eventually it was there where we booked the restaurants. The restaurants were very poor apart from the Japanese. This was brilliant. The others were bad service. In the Italian we waited 45 mins for drinks. Twice. The menu choices are terrible in every restaurant. We had a choice of 2 starters,2 desserts and 3 mains. The Italian didn’t even do pizza. There was a sports bar which was nice with snooker tables and at night it had Karaoke which was fun. We were playing snooker in the day & we was told by a member of staff to be quiet as they were doing staff training. The table tennis next door was DANGEROUSLY unsafe. If you leaned on it it would have collapsed. The balls were all dinted and the bats were all in bits. We went to play tennis and we had been given rackets. Again all falling to bits. We asked for the ball and she said there wasn’t any and we would have to ask people who were playing to share. This is ridiculous The kids games room was dreadful. 3 PlayStations. Only 2 worked. The snooker table had hardly any balls and the cues were broken. The staff just came and went as they pleased so your kids were not safe to stay there by themselves The icecream parlour was not open in the day and when it was they hardly had any options or anything left The shop was very very EXPENSIVE. We bought a packet of lays crisps for 18us $. A lady bought 2 suncreams which came to 90us $. We both put them back. How stupid !!! Next door was a coffee shop. Had really cute nice little desserts. Open all day. Again staff were poor. There were two dried cakes left in the fridge. Just as we was about to order they had a delivery of fresh cakes. My husband asked for one of those for my son and we got refused them. They wouldn’t sell them until the 2 dried ones got sold??? The beach and sea is the only thing stopping this place getting a 1*. The sand was so white and the sea was so clear, clean and blue. The hammock in the sea was a nice touch. Stunning The pool area again was nice. Nice big pool with a bar. The entertainment was quite poor. All the same everyday no change. Was fun at times but very repetitive. The pool staff were VERY RUDE. I asked for a drink and she put her finger up and said WAIT!! She then came back and I refused to order drinks with her so I went up myself which I didn’t mind. She lost a lot of tips that holiday. I asked at the pool bar if anyone could inflate my small lilo rings. They all argued between themselves to see who would do it as they couldn’t be bothered. He said go to the hut and do it yourself. So I did. Had to stop as the pump was so hot it felt like it was going to set on fire. The food around the pool was poor again with no options. Big queues long waits & running out of food. Again because staff couldn’t be bothered. Food wasn’t great either. The kids one was abit better but not organised, running out of plates a few times. The kids pool was brilliant. Lots of slides and fun for them. The lazy river was great also. They had a bowling alley which was great for kids and a theatre which had some good shows on. There was some music or singer playing in the ‘boulevard’ after the shows finished which was nice. We got upgraded to Privilege due to our jacuzzi problem. This gets you breakfast in a different area which was much nicer food. Also in the day you could eat there. Again food was better there. You also got more cosier sun beds in a small section but this was very very cramped. You had to climb over beds to get around. We ordered chicken nuggets for the kids. Came after 50 mins. Not worth the extra money. We paid extra for a jacuzzi in our room. The first day we asked if this could be filled. We waited 2 days for this. Eventually got filled and was full of bugs and dirt. They never cleaned it out before filling it up. We had to wait another 2 days for someone to empty it and clean it to re fill it. When we went to use it the display screen didn’t work. We had to wait another 2 days for a plumber to fix it. When it eventually got fixed the jets didn’t work. When we asked why he said the hotels electricity couldn’t handle all the jets so we couldn’t put them on. Out of the 10 nights we were there we used the jacuzzi about 4 times. Waste of money. The bath in the bathroom was so dirty when my husband had a bath with the jets on all the black mould came out and the whole bath was black. Not what you expect from a 5*. Never had enough towels. Always had to chase some down. Fridge Hardly stocked up. Room service was at a charge. First time I’ve had this in an All inclusive 5* hotel which fair enough but the prices were ridiculous They advertised a hairdresser in the brochure. My husband went to get his hair cut they said they don’t have a hairdresser and never have Overall this hotel was VERY POOR The staff, food and facilities were very very poor. We went over xmas and new years so it was peak and their hotel still needed a lot of maintenance and upkeep. The brochure is nothing to what it’s like in real life. I would never return to this hotel as there are plenty of nicer hotels in the Caribbean that may cost the same or cheaper & surely they will be better than this. Read less

Got it! Here's the revised version with your suggested changes: A Vacation Nightmare - Do Not Stay Here My family and I stayed at Ocean Coral Spring from July 1st to July 9th—well, we had to leave on the 8th because things went downhill fast. We were supposed to be enjoying a peaceful vacation, but it turned into a disaster we’ll never forget. While staying at the resort, we had the unfortunate luck of being there during Hurricane Beryl, and if that wasn’t bad enough, the Ocean Coral Spring served us worm-infested food. My wife found a worm crawling in her meal, right in the uncooked vegetables. I can’t even begin to explain how disgusted and horrified we were. My wife gagged and threw up on the spot. We recorded a video of the worm for proof, and I’ve uploaded it so people can see it for themselves. As if that wasn’t enough, my daughter, who ate from the same plate, later developed a mouth ulcer that required a hospital visit. The hospital staff suggested it could have been caused by contaminated food or pool water. After this nightmare, we couldn’t stay any longer. We left a day early and were promised reimbursement for the night we didn’t stay, as well as compensation for the hospital visit. Multiple managers reached out, assuring us they would resolve everything, but as soon as we were out of the country, they ghosted us. I posted a review on Orbitz hoping to get their attention, and another manager reached out, promising a resolution. But once again, nothing happened. This whole ordeal has been nothing but broken promises and complete neglect. We were expecting some level of care and responsibility from the hotel, but what we got was absolutely nothing. The fact that we’re still chasing them for a solution says it all. Bottom line: If you’re considering staying here, don’t. A resort that treats its guests like this, especially in the middle of a crisis, is not worth your time or money. Read less

We arrived at ocean coral springs and from the minute we pulled up everything was perfect! Our butler was Jamoy who did everything to make our trip 100 percent. The restaurant staff and the coffee shop staff were amazing. Food excellent. No complaints at all. We are coming back in 2025!!
