A quite resort to relax with a beautiful view. All of our requests were fulfilled and the staff was amazing. The rooms were clean and modern. The property is well secured and located near various excursions in the area.

We have been to a Zoetry before, and I will admit the standard is not as high at this property, and there is work to be done but the people absolutely make the resort in this case. I want to call out George, the pool bar bartender, and Jim the lobby bartender, as well as bartender extroadinaire Barbara who all took such good care of us. Not to be missed are Michelle and Sienna who made our stay complete. Sure the beach wasn't spectacular, and maybe there weren't 5 restaurants but a vacation is what you and the people on site make it, and we had a fantastic time helped by the people I mentioned above! I have never left a review before, however if I could save one person from going to Zoetry, Jamacia I would be doing my due diligence. So much of what they stated is untruths. It is like picking up a beautiful novel and when you get home you realized that there is no print on the page. First of all, there are not four restaurants. They have one… Read more
I have never left a review before, however if I could save one person from going to Zoetry, Jamacia I would be doing my due diligence. So much of what they stated is untruths. It is like picking up a beautiful novel and when you get home you realized that there is no print on the page. First of all, there are not four restaurants. They have one restaurant , the second is under reservation and the third is a Jamaican hut. For those of you reading this I was looking to be spoiled. I cook all the time and was looking for great food and feeling satiated by hands other than mine! When we arrived to a room of double beds and requested a king size bed they were going to charge us 250.00 US dollars to upgrade for king size bed. In every turn they were looking to take advantage of our American money. They Dissuade you from leaving the grounds due to safety and then have the Gaul of charging 100.00 dollars a cab ride to go to town ten mins away. I was almost willing to spend that money to avoid their Atrocious food. The staff was willing to please, However, this is a boutique hotel with 49 or 46 rooms tried very hard, but had very little to work with. Why were there approximately six other families there on the grounds the nights we were there. Probably taking cab rides for food. My travel agent called all sorts of authorities of this franchise and then only then others were notified of conditions. Remember I told you the facade is pretty enough! It the contents to watch out for. Poor quality of attention, everything is “Jamaican” time. Read less

The staff overall seems unhappy to be there. The beach is basically non existent. Oh and be sure to triple check your bill at check out, we went with two other couples and we all had over $400 in extra “mystery” charges!!!! Steer clear and head somewhere else! Read less

We're an educated, fun, friendly and hard-working couple in our 30's who were looking forward to some R&R our the holidays and hadn't been to Jamaica. We had such an *amazing* experience at Secrets Playa Mujeres in June 2019 that we joined the AMResorts VIP Club. We couldn't wait to visit a Zoetry resort, as we were told Zoetry is la creme de la creme of the AMResorts properties. We're really disappointed. We feel dupped. It was a sub par experience. Staff friendliness and service quality was inconsistent. We're not alone, either --- at least half a dozen other guests we talked to felt the same way, and the property wasn't at capacity. And I really don't like to complain. I'm one of those keep-the-peace-at-all-costs kind of people. When we arrived early for our 3-day stay, we were told we were getting upgraded to a better room --- which seemed nice, but then we waited 2.5 hours for it. We could have checked out later at our last destination had we known. As a consolation for losing precious time, we got a free beach bag...as if that's supposed to make us feel better. Our room was spacious and nice looking, the bath products were nice, and we had a nice view --- but the bed was as hard as a rock (even though I like a firm mattress) and smelled funny. We didn't sleep well. Room service speed was beyond slow --- so much so that we tried to cancel one order that was supposed to take 45 mins and took over an hour. Service at the sit-down restaurants was also slow --- it took 1.5 to 2 hours to eat and they took too long to come back and refill our small coffee cups in the morning. One server refused to leave a pot on the table...even though we saw the same server leave one for the guests a few tables over. Overall, the food was good but limited. We're sensitive to gluten and dairy. While the staff tried to accommodate for main meals, they fell VERY short on desserts. One night, they had coconut macaroons, which we could eat and really enjoyed. Every night after that, I asked for them, and they said they don't have them. Sometimes they promised they'd make them or another dessert I could eat the next day, other times they just said no. I kept getting my hopes up. On vacation, I like to enjoy more sweets than usual, and was unable to do so. There were only three places to eat, but we knew that coming in. The hot tubs were dirty and cold, so I couldn't use them to warm up; I had to go up to my room instead and take a hot bath. The beach was small and shaded most of the day, so as a result, we had to spend more time near the pool. The only pool was cold and oddly shaped, so you couldn't really enjoy it. There was no soft and spa-like music playing, as they had at Secrets resorts to create a mood. Plus, planes flew over all day, since it's close to the airport, so that detracted from a relaxing ambiance anyway. We were given complimentary foot massages as VIP members, but it took 2 days before they got back to us about booking an appointment --- even though we called every day to try to do so. We were supposed to get a complimentary boat ride to the Secrets resort as VIP members, but it was cancelled due to bad weather. When we tried to reschedule the next day, they said we would have to pay for it. At least they had kayaks and stand-up paddle-boards you could use around the small area, which was something to do. If the food wasn't decent, drinks weren't good, entertainment wasn't good, some of the staff weren't so nice, and the weather wasn't perfect, then we would have left ASAP. We talked to one couple who as soon as they arrived tried to leave immediately but couldn't change arrangements with their travel agent. We got apology after apology from the VIP lead and manager, but it doesn't make up for the money we spent to stay there, the time we lost, and the stress that was created by not having what we asked for or getting what we paid for timely or at all. We did appreciate the staff who were friendly and accommodating (Marcel, Melissa, Tika and Michael, to name a few), and tried to make the best of a less-than-great trip. However, we will not be recommending this resort to anyone. I'm actually shocked at so many raving reviews. The couples we spoke with would recommend the Secrets resorts or Sandals, if you're looking to experience Jamaica. We're considering cancelling our membership. Read less
