I will start by saying we have been going to Beaches Negril most years since 2015. We have loved every stay and are always excited to go back, but this year there was a noticeable change. We still loved it, but it seemed different. The good first-our driver to the resort, Shemar, was incredible. Somehow, it was a private ride because he said he wanted to drive the first beaches family of the day. We lucked out! We had an amazing conversation and learned so much about Jamaican culture. He even let my daughter use his hotspot on his phone when she was complaining she was "bored" on the ride. He was the best driver that we had on any of our yearly trips! My 3 daughters last year made an amazing bestie on the entertainment team -Cadesha-and we were SO sad to hear that she was no longer there. Definitely a bummer, but the entertainment team works so hard. Special shout out to Nae Nae and Delly who were amazing as always. They truly go above and beyond. We noticed that since Cadesha left, the shows were not as elaborate or as much dancing (which my girls love to watch!) as before. They were still good, especially the water show which is still amazing. Monique and Leon at the pool bar were incredible and always up for making fun drinks for adults and kids. Ask her for a spicy pineapple margarita!! I have to give a special shout out to Trisha at the photo shop. We met in 2015 when she was an entertainer and I was SO happy to see her back here. She was so helpful and has so much positive energy. She is great at her job. Kevoy on the beach (lifeguard) was so attentive and caring. We didn't have a butler, but he made us feel like we did as he would set up a spot for my family everyday without us even asking. He was so fun to talk to and helpful if we ever needed something. He even got my daughter sand toys to play with. The food is just as it always is-mostly good and something for everyone-even picky eating kids. Though, we would LOVE to see an italian restaurant brought back. What kid doesn't like some kind of pasta? The peruvian restaurant Yaku was really good, though. We do enjoy the food here and feel that it has not changed much over the years in terms of quality. There are LOTS more options this year with food trucks, jerk shack, etc. They are all good. Now for the part that really changed. We requested a specific room-savannah room 617. I traveled with my husband and 3 children in this room. We LOVED this room last year. Upon arrival, the toilet was leaking, the bathroom was very dirty and there was crud and rust all over and around the toilet. I was so skeeved out. This room was pristine last year. Someone came out and caulked the toilet. OK, fine put a band aid on it, we were fine with that and moved on. Our room was cleaned ONCE during our 9 day stay. Unacceptable. We had ONE turn down service too. I messaged through the Gina app and went down to concierge and was constantly told it would be cleaned. It never happened. This is really disappointing as we have never had this happen here. This room is where you have to pull out sleepers, etc and it was so nice having this done as part of turn down but not this time. Not to mention, I had to go get my own towels and sheets from the outside closet as they were never coming to clean. For all this money, cleaning should not be something that is left unattended to. I tried getting someone to clean the room for days and when someone did show up once, it was 10 pm and we were all going to bed. Like I said, this is the first time we experienced this but this put a damper on things. We aren't in the room much, but still. Our room was also never restocked unless requested. I'm not sure what is going on in this area of the resort, but the other party we traveled with had the same issues. It felt like no one even thought that this was an issue and it was becoming time consuming chasing people down that we eventually gave up. Really a disappointment. As for the beach vendors-we actually really enjoy talking to them and do not mind them at all. Look for Skinny Janet and JJ if you want hair braids. We have used them year after year and they do a great job. It is just off of the resort but we love supporting the locals. Usher for excursions is great and NOT pushy at all if you decide not to do something. All in all, we had a great trip, but we decided to try Turks next year as we have never been and since we felt the resort went down hill a bit, but we will most likely be back as we love Jamaican culture and the beach is stunning. They went above and beyond to make our girls comfortable and they had SO MUCH fun! Several others were great but unfortunately didn’t catch their names. Nae Nae is a gem- never let her go! Her zest for life and positive spirit made entertainment at Negril extra special. Manager Danielle was amazing in handling a situation that could have ruined our stay/brand loyalty, but didn’t. She exemplified “service recovery” and was the perfect example of the Beaches brand that we have come to know and love!!! Shantae in sales was wonderful as well! Her fun tours of the villas persuaded us to book one for next year :) Mario at the pool bar is THE MAN! His drinks and smiles are the best! Dwayne at the photo shop is a star!!! He was so engaging EVERY DAY and very patient/talented with our photo shoot and 3 small children :) Until next time, fam! Job well done! :) Read less

We pay a premium for an all inclusive resort however this visit due to capacity issues not all the restaurants were open. The food selection at the buffet which was the main location always open was awful. The deserts tasted stale. The bar and restaurant staff also seemed very unpleasant. The resort as a whole needs a lot of upgrades and fixing, their waterpark has features that are broken. The pool was very cloudy. I just felt pretty dirty overall. It's definitely not worth the price. I gave this three stars because my kids still had a great time. The entertainment staff was great. However I will not be going back and I do not think we should have paid such a premium for what we got. Read less

The staff were friendly and always greeted with a smile, enjoyed the water park (my nephew loved it), great food, great service, all around the best time! My family went on the 1/2 day catamaran cruise and loved sailing around. Fun music, drinks flowing, opportunity to snorkel (we saw sea turtles!), and saw dolphins. They let you off at Margaritaville to grab a drink if you want/get in the water. Room was cleaned twice a day. Entertainment at night was fun for the kids and adults. We also did the banana boat, hobie kat (someone can help you sail), and the glass bottom boat, which is all included (free!) with your stay. A great vacation! Highly recommend! Yaku dining was FANTASTIC. I think we tried just about everything on the menu and it was delicious. Soy had delicious and fresh sushi. Mariachis had great Mexican food. Kimonos is always a fun time and highly entertaining. Staff Shoutouts: Bars- Shamar, rojuan, delano Spa- Coleen, Paula Roseanna at mariachis Candiace at yaku Read less
