With having been locked down for 7 months in this crazy Covid era it was time to get away from the craziness and restrictions. Though difficult (not impossible) to get into Jamaica it was well worth the added troubles which provided us safety and assurance that we'd not be subjected to exposure to this virus. Once through all that commotion, we were greeted by the Couples reception and a nice welcome drink was provided to get us into vacation mode. The trip to Negril was relatively quick (little over an hour) and the reception at the resort was warm and welcoming. A brisk check-in process and overview of the resort was provided. Resort was at ~30% occupancy so we felt like we had the resort to ourselves. Everything was incredible and the food options were terrific and thoroughly delicious. Service was impeccable and it felt like we were "back to normal". Daily checks with thermoscan's and strict hygiene rules adopted by the staff gave us the comfort that they are taking the guests wellness seriously and this was evident the whole time we were there. Ventured off the resort and the rest of the area is like a ghost town. It is low season but seemed exceptionally quiet. Back to the resort and you lose that sense and slip back into vacation mode and lose all your troubles to having a good time and forget the craziness that exists when you return. It's a week since we're back and we long to return! Read less

My husband and I spent Sept. 10th through 17th at Couples Swept Away. This was our 4th time at this resort - we just love it that much :)!! Couples did an outstanding job during Covid, temperature checks, sanitizing, cleaning and overall knowledge of the staff. Also the Montego Bay Airport did an awesome job with health screening, temperature check and sanitizing. We felt safer in Jamaica then at home. We ABSOLUTLEY LOVED our atrium suite. Room 2222. A second floor room among the plants and trees. Felt like we were staying in a tree house. I spent a good amount of time in the hammock. Food was very good as usual. Loved both Feathers and Lemongrass. Bar service was good - just a little sad not being able to sit and really chat with the servers (not resorts fault at all though). Natasha was her bubbly awesome self and it was so very nice to see a familiar friendly face. Staci Ann did a great job with the cooking demonstration helped out by Richard (who also was amazing handling all of the entertainment - silent disco and evening show). I had a great massage with Wanda, my preferred therapist. She gives a great massage and is just a wonderful person. Loved chatting with her. Hope to return soon to paradise. Read less

My wife and I just returned from a fabulous 12 days trip to Couples Swept Away in Jamaica. It was a relaxing and necessary escape from the Covid-19 world we live in today. The resort was less than 30 percent full, and everyone (except the guests) was wearing masks all of the time. The buffet restaurant was open, however, everything was plated and served by the staff including the salad bar and pasta bar. Almost all restaurants are open to the outside with views of the beach or tropical gardens. The sunset from LemonGrass was beautiful. Tables were appropriately spaced in all restaurants and beach chairs were plentiful but spaced as well. We felt safer at the resort than we ever did in the US. It was a bit stressful getting to Couples Swept away as we were supposed to be at Couples Negril and were changed to this resort just a few weeks prior to arrival. We also did not receive our travel authorization from the Department of Health until 12 hours before our flight was due to leave... We say that we have never had to work so hard for a vacation before... but it was definitely worth it. Just remember that everything seems to be on "Jamaica Time." We loved Marvelous Marvin at the Martini Bar, He made dozens of different drinks and kept everyone happy. Sangara, at the Patio bar made an amazing perfect manhattan as well as a great Cosmo. Our favorite restaurant was Feathers. It is a true fine dining experience and we enjoyed everything that we ate there. Shout out to our waiter Shwayne ( a ludacris look alike) and the Manager Duane. Highly recommend Feathers.. Check on reservations when you arrive as they tend to fill up quickly. You need reservations for Feathers, but it is well worth it! Our daily meals at Patois Patio, The Beach Grill, Sea Grapes and the Palms were always good. We enjoyed all of the various jamaican foods, especially the Chicken patties ( similar to an empanada) , Jerk chicken, Snapper, and sweet potato lentil cakes. Special thanks to Joshshia, Rasheed and Nafterlee for making our dining experiences enjoyable. The gym, spa and sports centers are across the main street from the resort, farther away from the beach. The gym was well stocked with machines and weights, however, it is open air and with the humidity, we really worked up a sweat! We had a natural smoothies after each workout made by Keisha. She always made us laugh, while keeping us hydrated. The only negative for us was the cats. The resort has about 20 cats roaming the property. They are not aggressive, but we are not cat lovers, so it was a bit annoying at times. Overall a splendid vacation and we highly recommend Couples Swept Away if you are visiting Jamaica. Read less
