My now Husband and I chose Couples Swept Away for our romantic elpoment destination first week of May, and I can say for certain...we chose right!! This resort and staff were amazing from arrival to departure. I have to give a special shout out to our amazing on-site wedding coordinator Fiona....You're guidance and support, even with a last minute dress hiccup, were second to none!! Also, to the rest of the wedding staff, including my hair/makeup artist and bridal attendant Tamika, thank you so much!!! This place has it all. It's a dream for those who want to stay active, with all inclusive water sports, catamaran cruise, and a large sports facility. And also paradise, for those who just want to take in yhe Irie Jamaican vibes on the beautiful, expansive beach, or pool. The grounds were also beautiful, with well kept jungle like walkways throughout, filled with green foliage and flowers. We met one particular grounds keeper, Shane. Who my husband particularly enjoyed conversation with, and wished us well on our departure morning -) The food, whether it be the a-la-carte reservation restaurants, buffet, or beach grill...were also pretty amazing!! The food was the best I've had at any Carribean resort thus far..The restaurant staff were always a step ahead, and very pleasant. The bartenders at all the bars, especially on the beach were always upbeat and made delicious drinks. Thanks Couples for an unforgettable wedding week! We are already talking about returning for our first Anniversary next year, to take in more of this Beautiful resort!! Read less

Several daily snorkel and scuba trips are included in your stay. The staff is extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. They seem to learn everyone's names and are so personable. Considering this is a "no tipping" resort, (and they do mean it!) the extra mile everyone seems to go is even more impressive. I'm terrible at remembering everyone's names who went above and beyond, but deserving of a "shout out" are all the watersports staff who did the scuba dives. They were beyond helpful and patient. All those who conducted the daily snorkel trips.....same. Julian led the best trip I've ever been on where we saw turtles, barracuda, squid, etc. Charlayne, the hostess at Lemon Grass restaurant was amazing and accommodating. She remembers everyone and adds that personal touch to make everyone feel at home. The entertainment team did an amazing job day and night. Syd was superb at her job, whether it was doing arts and crafts, MCing the evening show, or singing with Ultimate Chocolate at the night club...she truly loves her job. The entire staff work together to make the vacation perfect. Read less

We came here at the start of April for 2 weeks and cannot fault our stay, didnt have to worry about a single thing for our whole stay. The staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily and then there's a turn down service which tops up towels and gave a top up clean. There's always a fresh towel available on the beach as well, supply of towels was pretty much endless The beach was lovely, the sea is clear and safe for swimming. We never had a problem getting sunloungers and we are not early risers! We did plenty of scuba diving, which was amazing. The dive masters are very friendly, but also very professional and knowledgeable when they need to be. The snorkeling trip was also fun and there are plenty of kayaks/paddleboards and pedalos to use as well. The pools were nice and a bit cooler than the sea, which was refreshing. The food is really good, we tried all the restaurants and eateries. Enjoyed patois for a sit down meal. Feathers and lemongrass had to book but can be done through the app and normally tables available the day before, you don't have to plan days in advance. Palms has a good variety. Fish tacos on the beach were excellent. The burgers from both cabana grills and patois were absolutely delicious. We paid for a dinner on the beach for one evening and this was lovely and the food was brilliant. The sport facilities were really good, especially if it was raining, and usually quiet. It is a really necessary where you can just go to play some pool/table tennis and have a smoothie if you don't fancy being too active. Our only downside is that drinks and food from about 9/10pm became more challenging. We are not really day drinkers and prefer an evening drink, but bars seemed to close around 10. You could go to the nightclub for more drinks, but we'd have preferred a quiet drink on the beach. In the end we just made sure to have the mini bar stocked so we could have a drink on the balcony. Thankyou couples for a lovely 2 Weeks! Read less

Firstly, if you want a holiday where the nightlife starts at 5pm and finishes at 3am then this is not the place for you There, that out of the way I will let you know my thoughts on our relaxing visit this year. This was our first visit to both the Caribbean and to a Couples resort. After much review reading and finance jiggling we opted to visit swept away., and we were not dissatisfied nor disappointed. We stayed in a basic room (how much are you in your room on holiday apart to sleep, wash etc), near the road. You cannot hear the road noise if any at night, the frogs are louder than the cars so it's not a problem. The room is clean and amenable so unless you want to pay the extra £800 for a beach front villa, I would save your money. Food - The food at The Palms restaurant is excellent, don't listen to the nay sayers who state that the food is not up to standard, what standard are they exactly comparing it to I don't know but we have travelled through India and Nepal and the food there was good, believe me the food in the restaurants are excellent. The other two restaurants Feathers and lemongrass are bookings only but are also excellent food also., fine dining. Staff - Every member of staff from the maids, maintenance, chefs, waiters, sports are all professional and courteous and are more than helpful if you need them. A warm smile and hello are always given no matter what time of day, just be courteous to them and don't treat them like a servant like some people I see around and you will get on fine. Spar and Jim - The gym and spar facilities are excellent, use them. The gym is huge and has a lot of up to date equipment installed, but not many people use it. The massage are excellent, Michelle give an excellent Swedish massage and are well worth the money, on a par with UK prices. There are tennis courts, running track, small golf course, medium size swimming pool which are all free to use. Beach - Firstly you don't have to fight for any of the loungers. There are plenty about so no need to hord them, like one UK couple who ended up every day with four, two by a palm tree and two out in the sun, and were complaining that there went any available under the palm shade, even though they got to the beach most days at 10am, go figure, you snooze you loose. They are all clean and not broken, the beach is raked every early morning and is clean. It's the best beach and walkable either in the morning or evening. Hawkers - The beach hawkers are there but not annoying, if you think these ar annoying then go to Egypt or Turkey in mid summer. They keep there distance and are cheery so go say hello and don't feel intimidated. Have a chat and if you want to buy something, you will be supporting a local to feed his/her family and the prices you can haggle. There is one guitar player, the rasta guitar man who has an incredible voice and will sing you some songs for a few dollars. The beach security keep an eye on them also so no problem. If like me you can't partake in Da Herb which is abundance on the beach then no problem. Water Sports - All free like sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, glass bottom boat tour. All excellent and well worth the chance to do these in such crystal clear water. So well worth the 12 hour flight and large holiday bill but after covid I was prepared to sell my dead granny to go on holiday. The place in parts, and not Manny, needs a lick of paint but this is the tropics and a bit of wear n tare is acceptable. Thanks for a chilled out stay and the staff for making it a great holiday, we met some great people from all over and will keep in touch, to anyone who doesn't like this resort and thinks its too quiet, there's always Blackpool beach. Had a great time celebrating our 25th anniversary at the resort. Sharie & Andrea helped us plan the event from USA. They even got an Indian Chef to oversee some of the events. Once at the resort Deston, Serena & Fionna took it to the next level! They tried their best to comply with last minute changes and adds With rain showers threatening the events, they worked so hard to move the event indoors making sure we had a blast nonetheless. The rooms are bit dated but the views from beachfront verandah suites are just amazing. The water was very calm, no stones/weeds to be found on the beach. The party on the beach with string lights organized by the team along with food and DJ was one too good. We were group of 18 couples and couples swept away ensured everyone’s request was accommodated. Read less
