I visited SATP for a week in October for my sister’s wedding and had an amazing time. Getting there can be a little draining but once you’re there, it’s easy to get into relaxation mode. The room: we were in the 100 block of rooms. Very quiet, two comfortable beds, a nice bathroom with lots of storage to unpack, and a modern shower. Unfortunately, the AC went out but the staff was on it super quick and got it running within an hour - the AC is great and it gets super cool. I slept so well there! The resort: just walking around the resort was entertainment - you’ll see birds, lizards, frogs, goats! And the most beautiful and lush plants. The pool is clean and well maintain by Clevon and is a great place to stay cool during the day and have a couple drinks at night at the swim up bar. I went to the gym a couple times as well which was clean and organized, and includes treadmills, machines, free weights, and an aerobics room. I also got one of the best massages of my life from Melissa - definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The resort has wifi but in my experience it only worked in the piano bar/lobby area. There are two restaurants - one that takes reservations and one that is a walk up. We ate at the latter place once for a live chef table dinner which was great but mostly ate at the walk up restaurant. Overall the food was amazing - breakfast was always a highlight (coconut crepes!) and there were themed dinners (Mediterranean, Italian). There is also a great coffee shop that has iced, blended, and espresso drinks - get the jiffy coffee! The beach was a 5-10 minute walk and there is a very friendly crossing guard to help cross the road. The water was unbelievable clear, clean and warm. Chairs and towels will be provided when you get to beach and you can order drinks and snacks right to your chair. For excursions we did the Boss Lady glass bottom boat with Jackson and Michael and went snorkeling, swam in the caves, and cliff jumped at Ricks. We also took out the Tiki Pon Da Sea boat which took us to an island and prepared lobster for us. 🦞 The SATP staff really made the trip - we got close to many staff members because everyone was so helpful and friendly. Nadine, Kerry, Kirk, and so many more staff made us feel like home at the resort and are the reason we will be back soon! Tips: - bring bug spray!! We got eaten up. - bring enough cash for tipping (I did $150/week) and excisions because most credit card machines didn’t work and lots of ATMs were down. - bring an insulated cup for drinks Read less

I can't gush enough about how absolutely incredible this place is. Every inch is just beautiful. The staff is amazing, always ready with a smile and helpful service. They learn your name, preferences and keep your glass full. The food is out of this world. Don't miss the Jiggy coffee or the traditional Jamaican breakfast (not for everyone, but everyone should at least try once.) It was hard for us as first to stand back and let someone else do everything for us, but we quickly got used to being pampered. Keep an eye out for Delroy, Venessa and Melissa. They took great care of us and made us feel like family. We just returned home yesterday and are already starting our next trip. Should you go? Ya mon! Read less

From the moment you arrive until you leave you are family. My first time here and it will no be my last. If you don't have this on your list of places please add it. The pick up at the airport was a little rocky however the moment the driver pulled up at the entrance the magic begins. The staff before the arrival was so warm and friendly. They answered all the questions and did follow up. Daniella is amazing. Always so respectful and helpful. The property is truly paradise. Well kept areas and the so clean. You actually feel like you are walking into a whole different world. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the "bathroom" OMG that shower is perfect. Beds are comfortable and the view is breathtaking from your room. The AC works perfect and you can hear the stillness of the day. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent. The Chef Showcase night is very classy and entertaining. If I had to change something here I would change the option to have more Authentic Jamaican cuisine. I think most Americans go to Jamaica to enjoy the Jamaican food so more options for Jamaican food at dinner would be good too. The beach, the beach the beach, OMG I cannot begin to describe the nostalgia here. It is just an experience you have to have yourself. The staff here is so willing to serve and to please. The kitchen there is so good, so many options to choose from and they are renovating when I was leaving so even better. I am almost afraid to say how good this place is for fear of it being too packed when I am ready to book again LOL. I have to give credit where it is due. I have been on vacations to a lot of places in Jamaica and this by far is the place to be. The service is beyond what I could ask for I was never disappointed. Oh yes, just to mention they have drivers on the property and we met Mr. Manna, a very pleasant and awesome driver who cared for us while we were out with him. Sunset at the Palms is an amazing place and definitely a home away from home. I wish I could remember everyone's name the way they remembered mine. To the staff I am so impressed with all of you, the way you care for your guest. The management team was always visible as well. The cleaning staff took care of the details of making your room each day and I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication even when they feel on one is looking. A HUGE thank you to the staff and entire team at Sunset and the Palms from the McEwans. You all are amazing and I cannot wait to see you all again. Read less

Sunset at the Palms is the best resort that is unknown to most. It is small which makes it very personable and service is personal. Other reviews have described the resort well. There is absolutely nothing missing from this amazing Jamaican resort!
