There are three different dining choices from the extensive International buffet at Palm Grove Restaurant to the creative Caribbean fusion menu at the à la carte Lotus Leaf. Guests rave about the spicy Jamaican ‘Jerk’ chicken that’s served at the Beach Bar and Grill during lunch — don’t miss it! The pool is perfect for lounging in the sun, or it’s a short escorted walk over the road to the celebrated Bloody Bay, a spectacular stretch of white sand beach fringed with picture-perfect palm trees.

Can’t forget Claudette who bought me coffee in the morning (sooo good!) and lunch at the beach! The beach is probably the best on bloody bay and the chefs , bartenders and crossing guard make it fantastic!!! Don’t go to the other large chains in Negril go to Sunset at the Palms and come back whole again! One love !! Read less

I've been to the Caribbean before but my visit to Sunset at the Palms was unmatched and unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It's the perfect mix of serenity: spend your days lounging on a pristine and quiet beach, and spend your nights in your private and immaculate treehouse falling asleep to the sounds of the wildlife (mostly frogs, which I still miss a month later!). The lush and diverse greenery is tended to with great detail and it's something you appreciate as you walk the property. The mornings are also really special here, you wake up to the sounds of so many beautiful birds and the coffee bar has any kind of coffee you want, plus tea (with lemongrass picked from the property!). The hotel stay includes access to the airport's VIP Club Mobay upon landing which means you zip through customs super quickly (while tons of other people wait in long lines), and when you arrive at the property you get a personal concierge. Ours was Daniella and she helped us with everything from exchanging money, to booking a couples massage (do it, you won't regret it!), to arranging excursions and handling logistics for us to take our COVID tests prior to our departure. We booked the restaurant reservations (Lotus Leaf + Chef's Table) prior to our arrival by e-mailing the concierge team, which is highly recommended. We got to know one of the waiters Cornelius who went above and beyond to make our experience nothing short of spectacular, even decorating our dinner table one night and making sure we got great photos! The resort is extremely clean and while most areas are in open-air, they were taking all precautions possible to make it a safe and comfortable environment; staff wore masks and were sanitizing surfaces regularly and even asked us to sanitize our hands before sitting down to eat. What's also great is the size of the resort - it's not too small and it's not too big so you are never waiting on line for food at any of the buffet style dinners, and while you can get whatever you want, staff are always serving you. Speaking of the food, the menu is constantly changing and fresh so each night was always something to look forward to- my favorite was the seafood night where they had mussels, scallops and shrimp. Another favorite was the bacon at breakfast which was extremely delicious, and so is the "jiggy" coffee (they put some rum cream in it). The SATP beach is very private as it's surrounded by palm trees and staff helps you to whatever chair you choose, also bringing you towels and food and drinks if you like. There is also a really nice bathroom at the beach and the sunsets were the best part of the day. We also loved that at any moment we could go visit the goats on the property and we happened to see one give birth! We stayed in room 409 and because the property is so carefully designed, it felt like we had the place to ourselves because when we came out to the balcony you mostly see palm trees and birds. Each balcony has cozy outdoor furniture perfect for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee and taking it all in or reading a book. The housekeeping staff was extremely attentive, not only did they keep the room spotless everyday but any time we needed a towel they were at our door within minutes. At night, entertainment was either an intimate group gathered around Paul the Piano player or a reggae band by the pool. Paul sings everything from classic American songs to really whatever you ask him to! There was NEVER an issue of noise on the property as either activity shuts down usually by 10pm, maybe one night Paul went until 11p because we were all having so much fun. Negril is a unique place in Jamaica that I feel lucky to have been able to visit, but even luckier that my paths crossed with Sunset at the Palms. The resort, by the way, is a short drive (10-15 minutes) to other fun parts of Negril like Woodstock and The Cliffs. In summation, at SATP- I had the pleasure of feeling like I was in the rainforest, while steps away being able to also bask in the sun and relax my cares away at the beautiful beach. Thank you SATP for a once in a lifetime experience! Read less

All of the staff here were very accommodating and made us feel welcomed. It is such a peaceful and beautiful property. We were concerned about the reviews of having to cross the street to get to the beach, but it was no problem at all! The beach area was perfect and we had no problems getting "our" spot every day to soak up the sun and play in the water. We can't wait to return and are currently planning our next trip! Read less

What a pure pleasure to stay at Sunset at the Palms. We had been waiting to take this trip for nearly two years due to Covid. Expectations were very high already, but I’m delighted to say they were completely exceeded by this place and the wonderful folks who make it so special. From our arrival at sunset, tired, hungry and bleary eyed, to the last moment when we saw it disappear in the rear view mirror, it was a joyful stay with ultimate relaxation. Each lovely room nestled among palm trees and other beautiful plants, to the point you would hardly know you are staying in a resort. You fall asleep to the sound of insects, and wake up to birdsong. The meals are fabulous, of excellent quality and showcase the best of international and local cuisine. The staff are simply wonderful, always smiling and happy to help, and really taking seriously the idea that you are their guests and you are there to have a relaxing time. The private beach is idyllic, and the little touches from live piano, musical guests in the bar, easy access to tours of Jamaicas attractions, watersports and even down to towel masterpieces on your freshly made bed make this an absolute must stay. Zero hesitation, stay here and have the best time ever. Thank you everyone at Sunset at the Palms, and well done. This is true hospitality. Read less
