The location of Couples San Souci is breathtaking. Tucked away in a little cove in Jamaica, the grounds and the water are beautiful. The only complaint about the grounds was the occasional smell of the nearby sewer treatment area. My wife and I’s room seemed to be recently renovated and we enjoyed all of its amenities. The view from our balcony was perfect. All of the staff was very nice and polite. The food that was available was very good but we do wish there were more options, specifically snacks and treats to have outside of meal times. We loved all of the open bars and wide drink menu. Also their high end restaurant “Casanova” had delicious food. We loved our couples message in their spa huts right along the coast. It was super relaxing having the waves crash on the cliffs of the coast. We were excited to do the “complimentary” Dunns River Falls tour but as we were loading onto the shuttle, we learned we needed to purchase water shoes with cash but we were told it was a cashless resort and didn’t have any cash so we had to get off the shuttle. The resort is about 2 hours from the airport so that shuttle ride isn’t great but it is what it is. Read less

We had a great time at CSS. The staff was excellent. We had great massages in the Hide Away Hut over looking the ocean. Food was good but not great. Everything was always clean and picked up. We will be back.

Came here 8 years ago so was expecting a similar experience which unfortunately it wasn't. Food was very good and the the surroundings excellent too however a few things did spoil our trip Firstly the tour desk is a complete waste of time no one is interested in sorting anything you would be better to leave a list of taxi phone number for guest to sort themselves out the desk staff just are not interested. We did book the only tour which seemed to be available to Nine mile which is totally different to how it used to be in the old bus. When booking we were told that should any more decide to go we would see a reduction in the cost it took three days of chasing to accomplish this. My partner also asked at the waterspouts hut about using a paddle board to be told Well you better go and find a life guard first what's that all about and again little of not interested to help out The shopping bus only goes twice a week and you get around an hour down the town all the bus driver wants to do is get back ASAP especially when you do not go to the shops he pushes you toward. I also think you need to talk to your guests more a lot have no time at all for the Gala night and would sooner have an alternative restaurant to eat in We spoke to a lot of couple there and all were stating the same Like I said it was brilliant 8 or so years ago and we were very disappointed this time Read less

Visited CTI before, first time full holiday to CSS. We visited mainly for the Sunset Beach. Yes, its a long drive from the airport, as we knew. Had a room in Block F, overlooking Balloon Bar, we could just about see the sea. Coming from te UK we stayed for 4 nights, so yes, things became same same after a while but thats to be expected. Room was awesome, well done on the upgrade to all the rooms. Spaciaous, well laid out, why do people need his and her showers? Well, still ok . Having been to Couples previously, I notice the small cutbacks. No Premium drinks (no Applestons), no Blue Mountain coffee, in the rooms. I cannot comment on water sports, massage or the textile beach as never used them. Sunset Beach, a few mentions in the reviews about those scary people with no clothes. Really, there is no swinging. When you are naked, and everyone else is naked, nobody notices, nobody cares. I really think that the people who visit Sunset Beach are more friendly, you go to the main beach, everyones there on their phones, on their Kindles, nobody is talking. Go to Sunset Beach, everyone talks with everyone else. There is no sex. Really, I know you dont beileve it, But, if you go, go on the the first day of your holiday. I tell you now, nobody cares what wobbly bits you have. If its not for you, fair enough, you gave it a go, you can now go back to the main beach. The veach part is pants, they got diggers in to clear the amount of crap washed up on the small beach while we were there it got that bad. Bar staff at SSB are awesome, poor staff are traumatised when they first work there - some think they have to be naked too - but they actually love working there as its so much more friendly. Entertainment staff, they work their socks off to keep us all entertained. Big shout outs to Delano, MacHugh, Shanae and Ashley. They turned up every day, and put up with our abuse and competitive Jenga. There is a naked party and a pyjama party one evening a week at SSB. Thought the DJ was terrible, played half a song then jumped to another one. Didnt play the music to match the age range, really really loud. It wa smuch better after he stopped and we had our own fun. Food, 3 restaurants, 2 of which you had to book for a 2 week stay became much a muchness even though they did vary their menu every couple of days. Carol on the egg station, absolute legend ass everyone else on here says. Always singing away and can cook eggs quicker than you can order. Have a differerent breakfast every day and you wont moan that its the same every day. Cassanova definately high end, you do have to book resuartants several days ahead to get the nights you want. Cocktail bar and Balloon bar, not that fussed. Tried ordering the special San Souci cocktails several times during our stay and they didnt have the ingredients! Not very speciasl then. One evening in he Balloon bar the barman was obviously very drunk or high, the following night at the SSB party he was barman there too and just was so not wanting to be there. The guests ended up serving the drinks. Go and visit Crackers the parrot and the tortoise in the lagoon, take them food from your beakfast :) The restort is great, 3 pools and 3 hot tubs, naked swimming in the mineral pool of a late evening is no problem as long as you arent annoying other guests. We had issues with maintenance of our room. The door would not lock closed. The latch would not lock, we reported 4 times but was never fixed. Ended up putting a bit of cardboard at the bottom of the door to lift it enough to be able to latch, The huge TV in the room had many channels that you had no signal. The sparkling wine in our mini bar said it was "wine based alchol" what the hell is that! Use the bathrobes in your room to go to the pyjama party. Overall, we loved our holiday, it was rather expensive coming from the UK, but we did enjoy our stay. As with most holidays, the people you meet make your holida. We met people who have been to he resort 30 odd times, man you are devoted! We would go back, but the price is quite high compared to other places. But for us SSB is the real draw. Go and give it a go, you're here for a short time, broaden your horizons. Read less
