Jewel Paradise Cove

Finally getting an opportunity to sit down and write a review. I visited the Jewel Paradise Cove with my Wife and Father back in the middle of June. I had a truly amazing experience. Check in was a breeze, there was no wait. Although our rooms were not ready (we arrived at the resort at 10am) we were able to get into both of our rooms before noon. I should mention that I reached out to Camille Henry prior to my trip, she was more than accommodating and made sure out group was taken care of. All of our room requests were met and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The room itself is a little dated/plain compared to some other resorts, but it was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy, the AC worked great and the mini bar was always restocked. We had an ocean front concierge room and the view from the balcony was incredible. The bathroom did leave a little to be desired, the toilet didn't have great pressure and the shower would get water all over. All in all I didn't mind any of these things as you shouldn't be spending that much time in your room on vacation anyway. The restaurants were all very good. I enjoyed the a la carte breakfasts very much. I very rarely ate lunch, but all of the dinners were exceptional. The stand out is always the Teppanyaki, I was lucky enough to have it twice during my visit! Didn't have a bad meal, and the jerk pork from the shack, paired with a wray and nephew and coke was definitely amazing. I spent time at 2 out of the 3 pools the resort offers. We kept coming back to the main pool. Good service at the bar and size made it our favourite. I think the main thing that made the Jewel Paradise Cove such a great experience was the staff. They truly were incredible. A few of them deserve special recognition. First Whitney from water sports. She went out of her way all week to make sure we were taken care of and always had a smile on her face. Terry Anne was truly the life of the party, I don't think the entire time I was there I ever saw her stop moving, dancing and running all over the place taking care of guests, she was amazing. But perhaps the best service I received was from Kimesha the social media coordinator. Kimesha went WAYYYY above and beyond for us the entire trip. She was regularly checking in to make sure everyone was doing ok. Arranged for repair when our AC went down and even helped with other things around the resort. She's amazing! Just left this location, the first room I checked into was occupied then it took 20 mins to get a new room key card. Chlorine and ph in pool was not calibrated, it was evident the chlorine was too high ($730 worth of jewelry damaged and swim wear now tie dye). Second room tv did not work and mini bar not stocked upon arrival. Night manager offered me a replacement swim suit from the gift shop or free massage??? I don’t want a free massage I need my bracelet returned. The swimsuit I can replace. FOM over the phone offered a free night stay to return, however I have no intentions of coming back with the laundry list of issues. No top shelf liquor, night club closed, worst birthday trip ever and keeps getting worst. Housekeeping came knocking on our door at 9:40 check out is at 12.
