The first night that we arrive we mention to the staff that our air condition was not working and for them to send someone to take a look at the unit, it was another day and a half before they fixed, however it broke a day later. The resort is very old and dated and when you look at pictures they only show you the best rooms. The resort is a garden style with no elevator and if you have any mobility issues you will have problems getting up and down the starts. We paid good money to stay at Jewel Paradise Cove all-inclusive we expect better service than what we got! The food was very bad.......... I would not go back to Jewel Paradise Cove and I would not recommend that you visit this resort. Thanks Gene I Read less

I checked out due to the condition of the room and location. Ownership, manager and staff should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of care of the property and how they do not adequately accommodate paying customers with refund for valid reason to vacate the premise. I left and paid well more to stay in a safer, cleaner, more accommodating resort with FAR BETTER meal options. They don't try to refund your money for the crap they know they are giving you. Upon checking in the television wasn't working. The telephone wasn't working reported immediately after checking into the front desk. No, accommodations was made until the 3rd day of my stay. It was very upsetting walking back-and-forth. To the front desk for tiles, wash clothes or just any type of room services that we needed. It was my birthday celebration. They offered absolutely nothing. Everything was at a cost. No decoration for your room. No free body was champagne or anything in your room. Had dinner on the beach? The mosquitoes ate me up some kind of terrible. There was no music. The wine was hot I just had overall. bad experience at jewel cove for my birthday for the price it was worth it The bar always ran out of the bar. Molly ingredients no straws. The dirt hut on the beach was never open. The bars didn't open until 10 AM. The service of the pools took place around 10 AM. Which I thought should have been done earlier. Before the guests arrived by the pools, there was no one walking around to ask if you're okay if you need anything, is there anything that I can assist you with some of the staff there are not friendly at all. Not an upscale luxury resort, but very nice and completely sufficient for those of us in working or middle class. Definitely a good value for the money. Some servicepeople were awesome and others were not so awesome, but as we were on vacation it wasn't really a big deal to wait. We were on island time! The nature walk (Darron) and glass-bottom boat ride were highlights, and though we tried one of the a la carte restaurants, we preferred the buffet so as to try small portions of multiple things. The desserts were awesome! Read less

Hotel is a smaller, more intimate hotel than some of the very big, grand resorts in near by Ochos Rios. Rooms could use a bit of an update, but overall hotel was clean and well maintained. Friendly and laid back staff. Entertainment team were brilliant and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there and the evening entertainment was exceptional, varied with talented performers in the evenings. Buffet restaurant was typical all inclusive food. Caribbean a la Carte restaurant and jerk hut on the beach was great. Free water sports on the beach. Good fun. A good option if looking for couples relaxation. Read less
