Amazing service from all staff, particularly our butlers MaFer and Paola. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was incredible. There was a lot to do on the resort and the staff are extremely attentive and fun. The food was awesome!

Had the most horrible experience with AC not working anywhere. We had a 2 room Suite and both rooms AC wasn't working, the Safe wasn't working, the Rooms were next to their dumpsters and where staff unloading and leaving in buses but no golf cart pickups for elderly handicapped people, no AC in any of the lobbies nor restaurants working and on top of it No fans anywhere to circulate air at least. Food ran out, and staff was rude at the pool side section the most. Concierge Connie was rude too when it was their staff that miscommunicated with the wheel chair rental people and didn't help us but sided with the wheel chair company even though it was in their notes on when the pick up would be. Our keys kept getting deactivated so had to keep going back and forth to the lobby for reset, and so many other issues on this trip. So not a good experience at all and this is the 2nd Hard Rock Hotel I have had bad experience at. So learned my lesson this time and will not be going nor recommending Hard Rock Hotel to anyone. We changed hotels last minute due to our travel agent pulling the previous for safety reasons. On reflection, we are so glad they did. We chose Hard Rock as an alternative and had a room on the Heaven side with a rooftop terrace. We had originally booked a swim up room and it was a little disappointing that our roof terrace spa bath wasn't working and took 3 days to fix, but that was the only negative of our stay. We enjoyed room service the first night as we arrived late after a nightmare getting through Cancun airport, you can only order food, not drinks, but there were soft drinks and a couple of Corona in the mini fridge which was replenished daily. Restaurant wise, wai and umo were on alternating nights due to refurbishment works, both excellent and waited no more than 10 minutes for a table. Ciao was also excellent, the speed of service was phenomenal, not much more than 30 mins from being seated to finishing dessert, but we didn't feel unduly rushed. Le petit was perfect, we sat outside and food was as excellent as the service. Only Toro was a little disappointing, the steak was fatty and the atmosphere not quite as nice as the other restaurants. Husband says the steak was much better in ciao. Breakfast was great in LA isla but another level in Faro with top notch service. Ciao not so great for breakfast but we were in a rush for a day trip so that may have clouded our judgement. The poolside bar was great for a bite at lunch but generally didn't need it, we preferred an afternoon coffee and cake at Le caffeteria. Great selection of snacks but service a little slower and more subdued than other places. All pools were great, clean and towels readily available with no deposit system like many hotels. We preferred the beaches though, swimming with the fish and the service from Alex at the Eden beach was particularly good. He looks after everyone so well and was a standout member of an excellent team. With refurbishments going on, aircon was lacking in the red lobby and shops but we stayed mostly on the blue side, work was not intrusive and workmen all polite and considerate. We didn't get a chance to check out the water park, bowling etc. and learned too late about the escape rooms so we need to go back. We aren't usually ones to revisit a resort, but would definitely make an exception here. The wildlife was amazing, we saw monkeys, agousti, racoon, coati, iguanas, osprey and so much more within the resort, an unexpected bonus! Read less

Brilliant staff. Great food. Wonderful location. Hard to find fault. Great in September because it’s quieter than August
