The hotel and room and location are the best part of the hotel. The food and menu variety is very small. The breakfast menu is very poor and most times came out cold. I would recommend going else where for breakfast. The staff are very helpful but pushy for tips at times. Room cleaning service provided you have to pay for at the end of your stay which they fail to tell you. Also whilst you are staying they will have a rep trying to sign you up to this travel membership club and waste have your day trying to sell it to you. It's a nice hotel if not with kids if you wana just relax. But overall for the money to stay here food selection and quality could be alot better and could do with a little more entertainment in the evening Read less

If you can order a room with a view of the ocean on the pool side including a tub on the balcony, along with the sound of the ocean lapping and the incredible water fountain features you will be impressed. The ambience has a boho vibe, the decor and design is amazing. They even sage and or use essential oils in the hallways and public areas daily to create a really refreshing experience. The outdoor beach area is exceptional, from bean bags with cool macrame curtains, hammocks, thick cushioned loungers, and fantastic seating for casual outdoor dining on comfortable couch style seating. There is also live reggae music on Sundays, as this hotel is part owned by the late Bob Marley's son, Ro. The managers wear boho style cotton Indian frocks and have the most incredible calm kind relaxed demeanour, creating a really cool zen experience overall, especially while checking in or while arranging transportation or activities and billing. Ericka, Sergio and Angel manage the hotel with such grace and calm its really impressive. The employees for the most part are all so kind and caring and genuine that it really makes for an overall relaxed welcomed experience. I chose this hotel for the exceptional food, location which is directly off the reef and a 10 minute walk to the cool little village of Puerto Morelos. Read less

HOWEVER, we had booked a junior suite and prepaid, and upon arroval they said they were completely full, so we got a single room with 2 beds amd NO KITCHEN. Thats a lot different than a jr suite with doors that close in between the pullout sofa and the bedroom. And NO KITCHEN when we booked a room with kitchen has been a real problem. After several requests, we at leadt got a tea kettle. Then had to request mugs. And sugar. And a spoon. WTF. There is also a MAJOR bug problem on our balcony. I get it, we are in a mangrove, and we cant poison nature. But we cant even open the balcony door. So much for ocean breezes. Talking to other guests, they have some gnats but not to a bothersome level. Front desk is very polite but full of excuses. Every day they say they are completelt full and have no room to switch me too. They send housekeeping to clean the balcony of bugs but photos show.... It only takes a few hours and they are back. I booked dircetly with the hotel, and I expected better. Read less

I’m currently there now and the experience has been so bad that I feel compelled to write this. The service delivery was subpar. Some of the staff themselves were very kind and hospitable but it’s clearly understaffed. Meals took an unnecessarily long period of time and some. Some of the staff behaved as if it was such an inconvenience to take my groups orders. They also assured me I’d be getting a room with a hot tub that wasn’t a bath tub outside. Of course the room I get has a bathtub outside although there are rooms with proper hot tubs. To add insult to injury they put me in a room facing the main area. Loud, no privacy as it was right in front of the main outdoor walkway on the ground floor. I requested with Tony to change my room to somewhere else, and my request was ignored. Read less
