The hotel

This very popular adults-only resort is on its own little stretch of paradise, with the pure white flat sands and crystal clear waters of Maroma Beach. Maroma Beach is situated on one of the most pristine and famous beaches in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. Close proximity to Mayan archeological sites and eco-adventure parks. 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen. Transfer time from airport: 30 minutes.

Junior Suite Tropical View Rooms are set back from the beach with garden views, with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The resort offered a wide variety of entertainment and activities, including an acrobat show, fireworks, light show, artistic swimming, traditional Mexican dance, beach volleyball, Spanish lessons, and a mock casino, ensuring there was always something exciting to do. My only concern was that, as a Hyatt Globalist, I did not receive a complimentary room upgrade. Despite being informed that all rooms were fully booked, I noticed several empty partial ocean-view and ocean-view suites in the same building, which was a bit disappointing. Read less

This resort was top notch. The service was great, the food was great, and the drinks were amazing. We loved every restaurant and all of the shows. The beach was well maintained and in great condition. The room was comfortable and perfect. Overall our experience was perfect, we would highly recommend.

5 star all the way..... our 4th time to Mexico, and by far the best....This hotel and its staff are incredible. The rooms are lovely, very comfortable beds and everything you could need in the bathroom. All toiletries provided. The food quality and variety was second to none, the choice of restaurant was amazing, and no booking, so you can see what takes your fancy on the day....our only disappointment was not having a buffet option every evening, (I have some dietary requirements), but saying that, all the staff go above and beyond to get you what you need, and by no means did I starve....the food is first class and def 5 star. For all the Cocktail lovers....a huge selection and made superbly... We are beach dwellers, and the beach is amazing, spotlessly clean with plenty of beds. The beach waiters are a blessing, always making sure everyone has drinks and water.... A lovely treat on a hot day is the Icecream lorry....the down side is that, in my opinion, he comes at lunchtime when most people are having or have had lunch. It would be better if he came around 3, mid afternoon..... The gardens and pool area are kept beautiful and spotlessly clean. The entertainment..... the best variety at all times of the day....something for everyone... Just a few people to mention who went above and beyond to make our stay special....Gabrielle, Jess and Diego....Thank you All in all, every single member of staff that crossed our path were amazing, to those behind the scenes, cooks, gardeners, cleaners, just everyone, you are all amazing....a hotel is only as good as its staff....
