We just returned from spending 8 days at this property for our honeymoon, and are over the moon about our experience! This was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sunshine. We spent most days in a similar manner: catching the sunrise from our oceanfront patio, ordering breakfast in or enjoying breakfast at Kaax (don't miss the cremé brulee oatmeal!), lounging by the beautiful pool with a piña colada or two, taking a dip in the jetted saltwater pool, engaging with the many on site animals (iguanas, a parrot, peacocks, coati, koi, and - in the evening - crabs!), napping in our spacious suite, going to tea time in the library, eating dinner at one of the delicious on-site restaurants, and enjoying after dinner drinks at the pool bar. The property is gorgeous and well maintained by meticulous groundskeepers, and the staff made our stay truly memorable: especially - but not limited to! - Omar the bellman (kept us smiling and always offered rides and history about the property), Mario the pool attendant (remembered our names and made a point to greet us), Alberto the bartender (made a special drink for me!), Miguel the restaurant host and Eric the server (remembered my food allergies and our regular orders), Luis from UVC (made sure we had everything we needed), Jethro, the massage therapists and spa staff, and the concierge! This resort is great for people looking for quiet, low key relaxation; there are many activities for free or a fee (yoga, wine/tequila tastings, snorkeling, spa, off site excursions), but no live entertainment in the evenings and the few large groups who vacationed there seemed to be seeking more of a party vibe. Other things we loved: the in-room bidet, nightly turndown service, the staff's incredible commitment to mask wearing. Thing we could've done without: the personal plunge pool on our patio was always shaded and thus a little too chilly for plunging. We'll be back! Read less

After 20 months of “staying home” this resort was a great choice to get the travel bug started. We felt very safe with all their Covid precautions. We stay in the Aman suite not far from the lobby. All suites are separated like bungalows so are very quiet. Some rooms are a bit of a walk from the main area. The suite had two balconies. The one off the living room had a table, chair and a sunning area. Room was quaint but comfortable. Bed was a little high for me (I’m 5’2”) but comfortable with nice linens. Towels were a bit rough and thin but did the job. Didn’t like the shower at all…water couldn’t be regulated and was so large the air was cold. Nice toiletries. Lots of storage for clothes. The guy came three times to fix the safe. They left us a bottle of sparkling wine, beer, water and soft drinks in the bar fridge. No hard liquor. There was a coffee making. The restaurants had great food but not a lot of variety in the evenings. Make sure you bring your phone and download their app because they don’t provide a menu, everything is online. We found there was a language problem with some of the waitstaff. We had to repeat our orders several times only to receive it wrong on more than one occasion. Bar service was fabulous…with no evening entertainment we sat in the pool bar after dinner, most times alone and chatting with the bar tenders..they were very entertaining and very creative with drinks. Pools were perfect! Different depths and temperatures. Lots of chairs but limited umbrellas but the pool attendants will hunt one down if you ask. We spent most mornings at the beach . Sea grass was bad and took three days to clean. Had three days of beautiful green water then back to sea grass. The beach attendant set the loungers up with towels and umbrellas. But I still got bit badly on my back and shoulders. I think the chair pads had sand fleas..they were always wet and even with the towels covering them they stayed damp. The attendants will bring you I used the gym everyday. It certainly wasn’t like the pictures. There was one treadmill and a weight machine. Maybe because of Covid restrictions? They had a fitness class each morning about 9:00 that weren’t well attended. All in all….staff was fabulous at giving us a great getaway! PS…wear shoes if you eat outside…the iguanas love toes!! Nothing but positives to say about the staff and the resort in general, could have had a 5 star review. However, I got a bad case of travelers diarrhea mid way through our stay. We didn't eat or drink anywhere else. We lost money on the excursions we had booked but weren't able to attend. Really didn't expect this from this level of resort.

We selected this resort as it was an upgrade on our AMR program. We didn't realize that the resort would be understaffed and have only two restaurants open at any given time. Bar service before dinner was non-existent as no bars were open unless you were sitting at the pool (so much for all inclusive). I go on vacation to eat and drink--there were only 3 restaurants on the resort and only two open each day and it was not posted which ones would be open. The website indicated that it had a "sip and savor" program whereby you could go to the concierge and visit other AMR resort restaurants--it was unavailable due to COVID and again, this was never mentioned on the website. The resort itself was beautiful--it was surrounded by a tropical forest and we could see the lemurs (official name is coati) each day outside our patio going up and down getting coconuts out of the tree. There was a pair of peacocks on the property and iguanas everywhere. Beach had a lot of seaweed but they tried to clean it up each day. If you're looking for a resort where there are plenty places to walk the beach or exercise, this is not your resort. All in all, it was a relaxing resort but was a little bit of a let down from what I have expected at Cancun "all inclusive' resorts. Read less

Our experience was excellent and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a get away. One recommendation is get to the Hippo Bar early to reserve a shaded cabana by the pool. The waiters were always on point and ready to help. The food was very good and the portions were perfect. If you get to go, get the couples massage - its a great stress reliever! 10/10 would recommend!!! Perfect vacation! These guys know how to handle COVID! Very clean and safe! Read less
