Tea in the afternoon and thanks to the "bean bag" players, we learned many" new words and phrases". Great food, beverages, amenities (pools, morning stretch, pool aerobics, afternoon games), evening entertainment and more. We hired Manu to see the island, beaches and sites. You could fill the day or just relax. The staff was "brilliant"! We are very concerned about the people of St. Lucia with the advancement of Covid 19. The staff tried very hard not to burden guests with the fact that the hotel was closing and they would be out of work. The management did their best to keep us aware of the crisis as guests would leave and no new ones would arrive. We highly recommend Bel Jou Hotel and look forward to hearing their continues success! It was lovely to return to this hotel after a few years. Great seeing familiar faces. What can I say about the staff? Everyone of them were fantastic. They dealt with everything professionally despite the fact the hotel had to close due to the recent Coronavirus situation and their government doesn't give financial support. Dean, the manager, should be proud of his team and I am sure that guests will go back when they reopen. Will my husband and I go back? Most definitely as I want to win another fabulous t-shirt. We have been so impressed with the hotel, food, location and the wonderful staff, everyone made us feel so welcome and looked after, despite what has been a very difficult time for the country. When BA looked liked they had shirked their responsibility to get us back to the airport, the staff were the first to tell us not to worry they wouldn't leave us stranded - how nice is that!! There is plenty to keep you occupied, from great pilates sessions to the complimentary shuttle bus. We honestly couldn't fault anything about this hotel and its staff. We would dearly love to come back again. Read less

Its the staff which make this hotel so special, led by manager Dean, nothing is too much trouble for them., and all done with a smile. The food is excellent and the fine dining in the Al a carte is an absolute must. The hotel closed last year for a short time for some refurbishment and we were concerned that it might have changed the ambience, thankfully it hasn't. The only thing that has changed are the trips with Jaffray, which were brilliant, his knowledge of the island is 'second to none'. Trips are now done by a tour company, so none of the friendly, small trips which used to take place with Jaffray, we were disappointed!! The gardens and grounds are kept immaculate and tended with pride, as are all the rooms. Trips to the beautiful, quiet beach, 1 0 minutes away are provided by the hotel mini bus, its well worth a visit. We will return and would not hesitate to return to this gem of a hotel and its wonderful staff. Read less
