Upon arrival we were upgraded into an ocean view room and WOW the views were incredible. We absolutely loved the room, it had everything you needed from a fabulous air-con unit to a fully stocked bar. The bed was comfortable. The resort was so relaxing from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all the staff were very friendly and smiley. Once we’d settled in I found myself blissfully swimming in the pool every day, forgetting about everything back home and just enjoying being there in the moment. I have a very active brain and it felt amazing to just switch off for a week! The food was delicious and I liked the fact that they offered a light bite menu for times when you felt too full up to eat but wanted a little snack. The cocktails were also delicious! They also had lots of books and board games on offer and we took advantage of the scrabble board everyday. It became a well known fact amongst other travellers and staff that we’d play everyday and we were often asked who was winning. Overall I’d highly recommend East Winds to anyone who’s thinking of visiting. You won’t be disappointed. If you want Caribbean luxury then this is the place. Thank you so much for making our Caribbean dreams come true and thank you for choosing me as your lucky competition winner! Read less

I've always said that, given the world is a big place, I don't understand why people return to the same hotel. Finally, after 45yrs of travelling, I get it! I've always said that, given the world is a big place, I don't understand why people return to the same hotel. Finally, after 45yrs of travelling, I get it! Why go somewhere else when you've already found perfection, you’ll just end up comparing & will, no doubt, regret not returning to this idyllic spot. Quiet: everywhere is so peaceful Relaxing: you are in paradise, it's beautiful Classy: but casual if that makes sense Quality: from the rooms to the food Friendly: the staff, locals, drivers are always happy, professional & welcoming Do go and speak to Davon (watersports team), he'll take you on a hobie catamaran trip along the coast (no cost!) & you'll learn so much. Look out for a turtle or two and the beautiful lizards, learn about Rat Island, local wildlife & general living in St Lucia. In our early 50's, this hotel ticked all of the boxes providing us with a luxurious & relaxing 10 day holiday. Thank you to the East Winds Team, please don't change a thing as we'll br heading back :) Read less

Plenty of sun beds so much so that no one ever reserved them . The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed a most interesting guided tour around the gardens were we learnt a lot more about the various plants and their uses and of course the birds. Wonderful spa where I had a back massage and facial using local plants from garden which was so much nicer than a lot in Uk. I also enjoyed the yoga and Pilates classes before breakfast which were given by excellent teachers and made it fun too. East Winds also helped by the guests, everyone was so friendly it felt like a real family. I don’t think it could be improved. Thank you to all the staff for making this holiday so special. We will definitely return as do the majority of guests. Read less

East Winds is without doubt the most relaxing place we’ve ever stayed in - we smiled and luxuriated the whole 10 days we were there. To describe it in two words, I’d say “perfect balance” but it deserves a few more words… The setting is beautiful with ample sunbeds and seats nicely positioned around the beach to maintain the peace you want when you’re just lazing. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Wi-Fi coverage was complete. If you want to go out on the water, the watersports team (Joe, Eric, and Davon) are friendly and helpful. The grounds are special - calming and fascinating at the same time (you must do the garden tour with Sylvanus, the coolest and most knowledgeable curator and designer of the grounds with a vast range of trees and shrubs with all sorts of health benefits). The ubiquitous hummingbirds with feeding points all around were an added bonus. The food and wine selection was excellent - I thought I would have to measure the time I was there in kilos rather than days. The entertainment was just right to match the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the yoga, which is in a superb location with an excellent teacher (thanks, Jill!). What ties all this together to make that perfect balance and extra difference is the staff. They were simply great - attentive, friendly, and professional at the same time. From housekeeping to the ever-present restaurant and bar teams. Many thanks to Angel , Chantal , Charms, Danny & Jermaine & Harry and the rest of the kitchen team, Jess-se, Kirby, Kirwin, Miriam (great wine selection!), Mickel, Nicky, Robert, Selma, Septima, Simeon (good vibes, man!), Sylvia (cocktail queen), Titus, Windel (professor of rum) and any I’ve missed out. Credit must be due, of course, to the management as well for orchestrating this great balance and atmosphere. See you next time! Nick and Rachel Read less

We have just returned from a fabulous trip to this most amazing beach resort – everything was perfect. The staff were absolutely amazing and looked after us so well; the food and drink were exceptional and our room was kept spotlessly clean. Entertainment was varied from a steel band to a pianist all of which were very good. The beach setting of East Winds is lovely and the well maintained gardens are a delight. The optional spa treatments are a bonus and well worth having by the lovely Theresa. Optional Excursions are arranged with East Winds and there are a variety of water activities available as well. Massive thanks to Natasha, Charms, Kerwin, Mikkel, Angel, Septima, Jes-se, Chanta, Miriam, Robert, Kirby, Nikey and to everyone else for which I apologise for not mentioning in name for such a fantastic vacation. To coin a phrase ‘we’ll be back’! Read less
