The hotel

Jade Mountain is a resort that exudes luxury in all aspects. Every room is a sanctuary with a unique twist, there are only three walls. The absence of an external wall makes this resort special as it allows you to feel immersed in the magnificent panoramic view of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea. The sanctuary’s design blurs the line between indoor and outdoor, even your own private infinity pool will make you feel like you can reach out touch the scene before you, all while guaranteeing privacy. You will also have access to a personal butler, known as a Major Domo, who will be at your beck and call providing a personalised service. Jade Mountain promises perfection and an exclusive experience by bringing together nature and luxury without impacting the environment.

Our Moon Sanctuary room was insane...lots of closet space, a refrigerator filled with water and sodas, huge bathroom space and all of it so open to the gorgeous view outdoors! We read the reviews so we were prepared for the lack of ac and the room does get quite warm. We were not ready for the early wake up from the birds flying in and the bright sun. We enjoyed breakfast in our room. The service was terrific. Everyone was so kind and solicitous... it was almost embarrassing. The road to get there is as horrible as the reviews say so be prepared and take some dramamine. We ventured down to the beach for an hour and quickly realized there was no reason to leave our room. We only stayed 2 nights (more than enough time) and then took a water taxi (much better ride) over to Sugar Beach for our next 3 nights. We had the best of all worlds! Read less

Stunning views so beautiful you won’t want to leave your room. Staff so attentive you’ll forget real life for a while. This place is pure magic. Keep in mind you may have to walk a lot if you want to go down to the beach and to restaurants randomly. They do have a car shuttle at certain times.

We were so excited to stay at Jade Mountain. Where to start? If you want to stay in a room only then great. But if not, go elsewhere -check into sugar beach. We were so excited to stay at Jade Mountain. Where to start? If you want to stay in a room only then great. But if not, go elsewhere -check into sugar beach. Or go to another island- Jumby Bay, Sandy Lane, Cap Juluca Anguilla - they are in a different league entirely- their rooms, service and beaches are incredible. Let start with the steps: please be careful if you have any mobility issues or can’t walk distances. Don’t stay here. The walkways are long and numerous flights of stairs. Trying to get to dinner or the spa was a nightmare. 6 floors down to spa then 6 floors up from there to restaurant/bar. It was an issue for people staying. The room: as in photos is nice but impractical bathroom and poor amenities. We didn’t expect the bath tub to be very upright and extremely hard to get in and out of, nor the toilet to be open air to the bedroom. The wardrobe height doesn’t take long dresses and the mini bar was completely understocked with no snacks/wine. Every other 5star hotel with complimentary soft drinks is fully stocked and option to pay for snacks. One small beach tote between 2 and 2 very cheap water bottles! Breakfast in restaurant: underwhelming. You have to order a la carte off the menu so very limited breakfast and no buffet for fruit/cereal- suspect due to amount of birds. Charged per item. Dinner was good but slow service. We unfortunately encountered unfriendly, unhelpful staff. We had to change our butler after a day. We also pre booked massages to find out they had booked them at anse chasnet- seriously? Then the noise… you can hear everything from your ‘sanctuary villa’… the door bells are a major issue- the noise and ring of them is really annoying along with the noise of in-room dining arriving, servers coming and going from rooms next door”... can’t say it was a sanctuary experience. You hear everything. Beach assigned for Jade Mountain: -basic beach and basic set up with small grill and bar... no luxuries and the toilets are disgusting. We brought this to the attention of the manager who said you can use the beach at anse chasnet... nicer loungers but full of people from that resort and the day trippers. Also I’m paying double or triple those guests to share the same beach. -Mini-van: there is one old mini van to take all guests from hotel down to beach...no luxury with a driver who is constantly taking calls and is miserable. I would probably be miserable if I had to do the journey back and forth on the terrible road that connects the hotel to the beach. Surely, they could have 2 vans and make them nicer ? -Jade mountain doesn't own their own speedboat like sugar beach. As such our water transfer was organised through Jade mountain and what we got was 2 random young guys in a very basic boat. Not the quality nor the safety we look for from a 5 star hotel- beware! -Please note the main pool at the hotel isn't a pool, it's a pond that creates a space in the middle of the restaurant/bar - there is no way you’re swimming in it. Not one person went into it, no loungers and your right in the middle of the restaurant! Apart from the view we can’t recommend staying here. Head to sugar beach with the most friendly staff, great facilities, a white sandy beach and wonderful views. Save your money and go elsewhere. Read less

Our stay was the most amazing experience. From the moment we arrived and met our butler team to entering our sanctuary and seeing its breathtaking views to our amazing meals, Jade Mountain was the perfect way to celebrate our special occasion.
