Swamed, Keitha, Manaske, Sher, Tyrone, Kester and Annetta went out of their way to make us feel at home. Everyone was SO sweet and friendly- this made our experience even more special. We had considered the other top flight choices - Ledera, Chocolate, Jade Mountain, Anse Chastenet - but ultimately selected Sugar Beach because of, um, the beach. Sugar Beach seemed unique in offering views of the pitons while at the same time located on the beach. The resort was very nice and well tended, the restaurants were good, but the views from the villas were not as great as we had hoped. We reserved a Superior Luxury Villa, and were presented with a nice villa, but with no view at all - just a tangle of trees. We were able to transfer to a different villa up the road after the first night that had better views, but still not great. That said, both villas were absolutely beautiful inside - all white with a Caribbean vibe and high end bathrooms. Read less

General: My boyfriend and I stayed at Sugar Beach for five nights to celebrate his birthday. I have ZERO complaints about this hotel. From the moment you walk in, everything is top-notch. We were greeted with a delicious coconut water (served in the actual coconut) and a cool towel. The resort manager, Petra, immediately came over and introduced herself and inquired about our trip. Side note about Petra: she is incredibly upbeat and nothing is too much for her or her staff. This hotel really exemplified A+ customer service. Someone is always checking in with you, the minibar is always stocked, you get little treats in your room each night, etc. Location: This hotel’s location cannot be beat. It is at the base of and in-between the two Pitons. The views from the beach/pool and rooms cannot be beat. We stayed in a Superior Sugar Mill Room (#2). We had an ocean view as well the Pitons. Even walking to the gym each morning (which is a hike because you go up the mountain- a little addition to your actual workout) has great scenery. Specifics: The spa at Sugar Beach is a must. It’s built in a series of tree houses and has such a unique feel. At the hotel, we had dinner at the Great Room and Cane Bar- both were delicious. People have commented about the prices of food- yes they are high, but you are at a 5 star resort at the base of a mountain. The price falls in line with where you’re staying. If you want to dine at Jade Mountain, contact Jade Mountain directly before your trip. Jade Mountain only accepts reservations from Sugar Beach the day of. We spoke to a few other couples who contacted JM a month prior to their trip and were able to have dinner there. Outside of the resort, we dined at both Ladera (amazing sunset) and Boucan- both were excellent. I would also recommend Sugar Beach’s sunset cruise. The views of the coastline from the Catamaran are unparalleled. Overall, the experience at Sugar Beach was amazing. We’ll be back! Read less
