The hotel

The simplicity of Bequia Plantation Hotel is part of its beguiling beauty. An unpretentious space, the owners know the location’s all you could ever need – right on the wanderlust-satisfying sands of Admiralty Bay, whose glittering waters are graced by yachts, and just a stroll along Admiralty Walkway from Port Elizabeth. Its acres of tropical gardens are punctuated with towering coconut palms, charming cottages, a bay-view restaurant with an authentic brick pizza oven, and the hotel’s bijou but beautiful swimming pool – there for those odd occasions you’d rather not take your dips off one of Bequia’s beaches. Whether you stay in the main house or pick one of the suites or villas which nestle in the gardens, among the fruit trees, and even on the soft sands of Admiralty Bay, you’ll experience a chic blend of contemporary and Caribbean styling.

Where is it

On the beach at the southern stretch of Admiralty Bay, this hotel is ten minutes walk from Port Elizabeth. Fly to Barbados and onwards to Bequia. Transfer time from Bequia Airport: 15 minutes.

Main House Sea View Rooms have a private balcony, rainforest shower, and sea view. Each has 1 queen-size four poster bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Orchard Suites are set among the fruit trees, and have a fridge, microwave, and an HDTV with cable channels, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Beach Suite Rooms are located on the sandy beach, and have a terrace. Each has 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

Beach Front Villas have a porch, fridge, microwave, HDTV with cable channels, and pool or ocean views. Each has 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

2-Bedroom Villas are in the gardens, just steps from the beach, and have a fridge, microwave, and an HDTV with cable channels, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

The friendliest service! Beautiful property on a pristine stretch of beach. The breakfast was delectable. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone visiting the Grenadines. I stayed in October 2022 for about 10 days and loved every minute. The ferry from St. Vincent was super convenient and the hotel picked me up from the dock which made navigating to the hotel super easy. From the hotel you can walk to other beaches and restaurants including Jacks which is a delightful bar/restaurant in a gorgeous bay with pristine water and views of boats. The staff made me feel at home the moment I came up the dock from our sailboat. By the time I had lunch and toured the rooms, I decided to stay two nights. Boy was it the right decision. Peace, tranquility, kindness and culinary delight is all I have to say. I’ll be back one day!

We went for dinner, sadly the service was terrible - very unhelpful and grumpy staff. They really need to be trained to give people a good experience not a bad one! Such a pity since the location is great. It could be a fabulous place. Sadly we won’t be going back.

Great location with lots of activities nearby in walking distance on the boardwalk although it’s low season so a few were closed. Nice beach and two others nearby on foot. Very friendly staff which really made the difference definitely would go back again.

The staff are as welcoming, warm and amazing as we remembered them, imagine Jimmy who is now the Manager remembered us from 6 years ago. We were warmly greeted by Ashanti at Reception who gave us rum punches upon arrival. We arrived early and she allowed us to store our luggage while we headed to the beach. When we returned, we met Sherry Ann whose bubbly personality had us tickled throughout our stay. She became our heroin as she found the adapter Nadia needed for her laptop to complete some work, upon check out she opened breakfast 30 minutes earlier to ensure we had something to eat before leaving and further arranged our taxi service as she did not believe we could walk to the ferry terminal with our luggage. Special shout out as well to Dimitri by the pool and Tya at breakfast, the staff truly care about your experience and want to you to have the best time! Bequia till we meet again xx Read less
