The Liming Bequia

Bequia, St Vincent and the Grenadines

Virgin rating

The hotel

One of the last bastions of Caribbean exclusivity, the islanders of Bequia know how special it is – which is why the owners of this beach retreat only invite a handful of guests to stay at any one time. With just nine luxury villas, one chic Junior Suite, and the five bedroom mansion house to pick from, each with its own infinity pool or hot tub, it has the feel of a private and very exclusive estate. This elite edge continues at The Liming’s dining room, where seafood is fresh from the ocean and many other ingredients are island-sourced – and it’s all served on the sea-top terrace (or in your villa or suite if you fancy even more privacy).

Amazing place, REALLY end of the word. Small, new (5 years old), very comfortable and nobody around. Friendly staff, nice rooms with personal pools. Good restaurant, small beach and nobody around. There is no entertainment, so bring your partner and enjoy nature. Special thanks to GM Aaron - very nice, know legible and friendly person.

My friends and I did a Sunday day pass which was us$50 per person. This included two cocktails, lunch and use of the pool. Beautiful resort, very warm and friendly staff. Food was also very delicious. Would definitely go again.

We want to commend the hospitality and experience to everyone at the Liming. My wife and I went at the end of September and they made it a very fulfilling trip. Most trips finish too early but this one we were ready to go home to our kids. We went during off season, so we mostly had the resort to ourselves. Each morning we went for a mile walk, up hills, within the property and then played tennis. We came back to our beachfront cottage and stretched (we aren't yoga people) while facing our infinity edge pool overlooking the bright blue ocean. We then enjoyed our complimentary breakfast (was a special they were running), followed by laying on the beach until sunset. Right off the beach is a beautiful reef that extends to the cliffside. We recommend choosing Deon and Bruce as your guides by renting the resorts boat. There are two boats but we chose the one that my wife and I can lay out in the front and get some sun while we drove to our destinations. Whether we were there for a week or because it was slow season, the kitchen accommodated special requests for dinner. They made us conch, lobster, roti, salt fish cakes and more. Their regular menu in addition was wonderful as well. Keep in mind we saw many reviews that talked about the price of food. They have to import everything so if you think a salad is too expensive, wait until you get back home. I went right to cheesecake factory and got one of their massive salads the day after we got back. (Just my two sense) We did not explore the island as we were there to relax and explore by boat. We loved everything about the trip and want to thank the team and from the landscapers to the servers to the managers for making this a great experience. This is also owned locally. We had the pleasure of sitting with the owner at the Blue Lagoon Marina in St. Vincent's, while waiting for our flight. She is very hands on with her properties. It is nice to know they have that local touch and that it isn't just run by some big organization out of London somewhere. Please visit them and have a great experience!! Read less

Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect at the Liming. My wife and I were apprehensive about traveling to Bequia (it's a little off the beaten path) but everyone from the security guard and his assistant (Angel) to the GM made sure everything was perfect.
