Room was exactly what I was looking for, nice private patio with lush plants and trees for a view. You do have to go up quite a few steps to get to the room so those with mobility issues may want to choose another room. They had a gentleman carry up my luggage for me (much appreciated). Room was clean, 2 bottles of water, shampoo & soap dispensers, white fluffy towels AND dark color towels (excellent for a person like me that has colored hair that tends to bleed) and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in 😴 Air conditioner was super cold upon arrival (felt great after a long day of travel). I was given a free rum punch coupon to use at the restaurant which I didn't use. I didn't visit the restaurant as I was to tired. ALL of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming 🙏🏼 Stopped here for a quick stay before heading to Bequia. Highly recommended and really appreciate the staff for being so welcoming. It was a great start to the island of St Vincent. Read less

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon hotel for a week on an Air Canada vacation. The room was simple but tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff, from the front desk reception to the housekeeping staff and the security staff, were professional, friendly and hard working. The marina was very interesting and it was a short walk to a pleasant and uncrowded beach. The charming owner seemed to be present most days, and genuinely interested in how the patrons were enjoying their stay. There are a few restaurants on the property which were convenient and the food generally enjoyable. The Loft was OK, but in order to live up to the written description of the resaurant and its menu, more attention needs to be paid to customer service and expectations at this level. For customer enjoyment, better to promise less on the written menu than to dash expectatiions with non availability. The view is gorgeous and relaxing. Coconut Beach club was and excellent venue at the other end of the beach. It was a pleasant walk along the beach from the hotel and we appreciated that patrons of the hotel were able to use the beach chairs and umbrellas even when the beach club was not open. Read less

This hotel was interesting… We stayed for a week with an Air Canada vacation. The room was nice and had a lovely view. The staff were friendly. The hotel is clean and it was fun watching all of the marina activity with the boats coming and going. The Loft restaurant was just super weird. They would hand us a menu and then give us a list of things they didn’t have. There never seemed to be any produce - they were always out of bananas, lettuce, tomatoes etc. At first we thought maybe the island was experiencing a bad crop season or something and that produce was scarce, but in Kingstown there were huge produce markets with everything you could want. At a neighbouring restaurant (the coconut grove beach club, which incidentally has the same owner) they thought it was really weird that the Loft was out of lettuce! It went on all week with different shortages on basic food. It felt like the Loft was really just not being managed properly. We avoided eating there as much as we could, but our breakfast was included there and it is very hard to walk elsewhere from the resort. We would often sit and wait 40 minutes before coffee arrived so you really need to have at least 2 hours for every meal there. Thank goodness the view was amazing. The roads are really narrow with no sidewalk and really uphill, and the only place you can walk down the beach is coconut grove (which was very good!). Overall it was a nice vacation, but I was very over the Loft by the end of our weeklong stay. Read less

We’ve met the most wonderful friendly people throughout Saint Vincent and the Islands. Sadly the restaurant here was the worst we experienced. We ate twice, once at the beginning of our sailing trip and once at the end. Both times the service was simply dreadful. You felt like you were imposing on them by asking them for an order. I don’t think the staff knew what a smiling and a welcome was. On our second visit two tables left, they gave up as the waitress wouldn’t take an order, they had had enough. Another table with two children look desperate, they just wanted to feed the kids and waitress just didn’t take their order. The cook came out to help and I asked her if there was any way we could order some food as I did it want to ask the waitress for a fifth time, yep it was that bad. The food when it arrived was okay . I had ribs, I got three small ones, for some people I think that’s a bit on the stingy side. As we were attempting to pay we refused the to pay the service and two other guests said I don’t blame you they waited an hour for a bottle of wine that never arrived. At breakfast people were getting up and getting f things for themselves. Either find some staff that want to help guests or train the ones you have. Read less
