Overall, a great selection for a relaxing Caribbean vacation. But the thing that really sets these type of places apart is the people. We had a last-minute hiccup with our plans and the manager Adrian was just amazing. He told me before my arrival “not to worry, I’ll handle everything”…and that’s exactly what he did. I was truly impressed and grateful. So many on the staff were exceptional but a few names that stand out are: Judyann, Celine, and Jerry. Thank you to the all for a great stay…would highly recommend. Overall there is a lot of disorganisation at this hotel. When I checked in to what should have been a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom oceanfront room, I was sent to a one bedroom and offered a $200 spa credit. My roommate arrived after me and they expected her to sleep on the sofa or a cot in the living room. After complaining, they agreed to move her to another room on the other side of the resort before finally agreeing at dinner to put us in the 2 bed/2 bath which we paid for. We paid more than $7,000 for 4 nights and this is inexcusable. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and they were rude and not accommodating for a dinner booked way in advance for 16 people. The host had a confirmation for the dinner that all guests would sit together and I’ve never experienced such rude behavior from the manager of a restaurant that basically said too bad and placed us at separate tables. They couldn’t get the orders right and the person sitting next to me never received his meal. This meant that the family had to book an off site restaurant for the following night so that we could celebrate and sit at the same table. This is a ridiculous expense when you are paying for an all inclusive holiday. To compensate guests, they offered a $50 gift certificate (per room) to the gift shop that no one could actually use. We went as a group and weren’t surprised that there was no way that the resort would honor this. Honestly the T-shirts cost more than $50 so we would have been helping them out because I never actually saw anyone shop there anyway. It’s next to the cafeteria and only open random hours. Priscilla made a lot of empty promises and they should compensate the family that planned and were ultimately let down. This is just not a great resort. The spa - a generous description of an office space with one worker has less to offer than an airport “spa.” There’s no sauna, jacuzzi or spa amenities. They didn’t have hot stones for the advertised hot stone massage and couldn’t even do a manicure or pedicure. For this you would need to take a shuttle to their sister property. They advertise a large spa menu in every elevator but don’t offer the advertised services. There aren’t a lot of food options and the best food is served from a food truck. I’ve never eaten at a food truck at an all inclusive and it might have been ok if they had good food at the restaurants. There are just a lot of little things that were off. There is one pool which is ok but the overall experience was underwhelming. There aren’t food options and you can only book a reservation at a specialty restaurant the day that you would like to attend. I could not find the restaurants because they have the same restaurant operating as two restaurants (Fish Deck and Sushi restaurant) both in the same place with a limited number of tables. The quality of the food was also not the best and the best meal I had was on a plastic tray on the beach. We were able to still have a great time because of the occasion and people coming from all over the US to celebrate. The beach was nice but it would have been better if they cleared all the seaweed and debris as is customary. They should offer a refund to the host family because the Alexandra made it impossible to follow the planned itinerary. The hiccups were almost comical - it’s like there is no one actually in charge and everything is siloed. Read less

Would never ever recommend this “resort” more like a motel on the beach. Beaches are pristine and that’s all. Read less
