Great location and every room facing to the ocean view. nice atmosphere when you walking into the lobby.Great getaway and celebrate my husband's birthday but honestly I would like to give 5 stars but I can't because when we arrived there's staff welcoming us with complimentary drink and told us the to wait at the lobby for check in so we're sat there for another 10 mins and we saw 3 table checkin with no staff but guests just sit there ( 1 table is for concierge) no one come back and asked if we have check in yet ,so my husband walked up to the concierge and ask if can somebody help us ....and yes concierge end up check in for us with great attitude because if she said no and tell us to wait again we about to ask for the manager, but Rose (the concierge) she fixed the disappointed feeling for us, she is very helpful, professional and friendly. She remember our last name and always greeting with smile every time when we saw her at the lobby. Also we updated our stay with the M club since my husband is platinum elite Bonvoy so we got the discount from $600 /day to $350/day (+tax) and in our opinion is worth it for $350/day the M club is on 9th floor and we had breakfast, lunch, snack at the club everyday during our stay foods are great quality.the club provide the drink, soda and alcohol and it self-service but there are staff welcoming you with friendly smile. The beach: SUPER clean and crystal clear with with sand ! on our 3rd day we were at the beach and we had experience to saw DOLPHIN swim up close to the shore! The room: Clean and BIG bathroom! nice balcony facing to the ocean. Surrounding area: Close to shopping area, there's a lots of restaurant for a nice dinner. Overall: we enjoyed our stay and had a great time at Turks ! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating New Ritz pier not Pelican friendly as it was for decades

This Ritz Carlton replaced the old pier where pelicans used to perch and dive for fish. It was fun to see. They claim the pelicans still come but I doubt a pelican would now struggle sitting on heavy ropes as this lighter seagull shows so they are stretching the truth. No way the now pointy pier posts versus the flat pier pints are comfortable… Read more

Dont do it. This is not Ritz Carlton service or even Courtyard service. The employees appear to really not want you there and nor do they want to be there. You will run across an employee here or there that is helpful but I would say 4 in 5 are rude and you are an inconvenience to them. I stay at alot of Marriot hotels and you will not get the famous "Ritz Carlton" experience here. In the airport I spoke with other people about their stay and they didnt have the same experience so I dont think its the island as a whole but this Ritz doesnt put on the Ritz. I was told the Seven Seas is the place to go. Read less

We ate at all of the restaurants on site, went to the beach every day and went to the kid friendly pool. I do wish the pool option for older kids was better, but can't complain too much when the beach and water are so amazing. Although service in restaurants and beach are quite slow, you're on island time, so it didn't really matter. Our trip had to be extended due to a hurricane back home, but the staff came through and helped us book alternate nights and rooms. Miguel, Richie, and Mark were very attentive to us and showed us the utmost hospitality. I would come back again for sure. Read less

Conclusion: The RC TCI would be a great Marriott, good Westin but is an inadequate Ritz. In short, the property feels way too big to execute RC luxury service. Property: The campus is beautiful, detailed landscaping at the pool and beach. Integration with nature is seamless. WiFi, however, is inconsistent at best, it went down for extended time throughout our stay. Rooms: Well appointed and wonderful. Very clean. Gym: Small and not clean. Equipment is down (tread, water dispenser) and there is only one set of weights for the entire campus. After 7 AM, demand overwhelms supply. Arrival: Dysfunctional. Room assignments and luggage delivery were disorganized and slow. Luggage had to be delivered and then re-delivered. F&B: Staff is clearly frustrated. Servers roll their eyes at table assignments. On the beach, we waited an hour and forty minutes for a Caesar salad. At the pool, two hours and twenty minutes for fried calamari. We learned to order lunch at 10 AM so that we could get our orders by noon (restaurant opens at 1130). Bonvoy: The program is disregarded and the property does not follow the guidelines. There is no acknowledgement of status, late checkout was an unnecessary argument, points for stays are not rewarded. No one at the property contacted us during the stay to check-in. Service Heroes: Florence and Deja (Front Desk), Lillian (Housekeeping), Herbie and Calvin (Beach). In short, property charges RC prices but delivers three to four star Marriott service, although there are individual standouts. Therefore, due to the poor value for price paid, it is impossible to recommend this property. Management needs to commit to providing a Ritz experience, it is not close to where it needs to be.
