We just returned from a week at the Ritz Carlton Turks & Caicos, and were extremely disappointed overall. We travel to luxury hotels and resorts extensively, and therefore had some basic expectations as to the level of quality and service of this brand. Sadly, this resort lacks hospitality in general, and definitely does not live up to the Ritz Carlton standards. Turks & Caicos is a very expensive island, so it was not surprising that everything from room rates to cocktails were met with hefty price tags... we were happy to spend the money to stay at a luxury resort, but this resort did not deliver on the basic levels of service that the Ritz Carlton brand is known for. General consistency was lacking from housekeeping to the front desk, but were particularly disappointed by the beach and pool staff who seemed annoyed when we ordered food or drinks. One server, Emmanuel was particularly irritated when we tried to get another round of $25 cocktails when he just wanted us to close out the bill so he could go home. He was more interested in riding around on his hoverboard while talking to his friends on speaker from the cellphone which lay flat on his tray so his supervisor wouldn't notice. The resort is beautiful with a prime location on Grace Bay beach, but even though there was plenty of staff, they were unfriendly and lacked the basic service that the Ritz Carlton brand is known for. There was no "island hospitality" here... Turks & Caicos is an expensive but beautiful island -- next time, for a better overall experience, will stay at Grace Bay Club or Seven Stars. Read less

Before we closed our tab, Karine had learned we just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary, and surprised us with a beautiful dessert that had a chocolate note, "happy anniversary"!. The staff showcased great teamwork and a high level of professionalism. After dinner we went to the casino and played roulette. The engergy was high and we had a great time. We had a great stay at the Ritz Carlton. When I tell you top tier customer service??? Everyone greeted us with a smile from Davainne at the door, MJ at the pool, the water sports attendant at the pool and Rose with all the amazing suggestions at the bar. Everyone’s level of attentiveness made our experience so luxurious.

Our vacation started off a bit slow as the check-in process took longer than expected. However, one of the bellmen armstelly sorry I might spell his name wrong, but he stated he went by telly. He made all the difference with his warm attitude and helpfulness. He checked in to see if everything was alright, offered us rum punches, and brought our bags to the room. He recommended we try Grouper’s, which turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve ever had a 10/10 experience. We saw Telly often during our stay, and his friendly energy always made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye, but his outstanding hospitality left a lasting impression. Not only that the staff overall were incredibly attentive, always greeting us warmly and asking how we were doing. The rooms were beautifully designed, the shower was 10/10, and breakfast each morning was delicious. The beach, with its crystal-clear waters and soft sand, was simply stunning. This trip was truly memorable, and we can’t wait to return! Read less
