Excellent property. Great location next to all the shops and restaurants of Grace Bay. Beaches are pristine. Very clean and well maintained grounds. We stayed on the club floor. Staff was lovely and food and drink were plentiful. Gym is ok but if you want a full gym there is one located right in Grace Bay. $30 for 24 period. If you do find… Read more

I wanted to do something memorable for our daughter's 21st birthday this year (as well as my fifty plus birthday) so I planned a trip to the Ritz Carlton in Turks and Caicos during Thanksgiving week. I booked 2 oceanfront rooms and also brought our pet cat with us. Marioke, the Front of House Supervisor, was very helpful in answering my questions during the planning stages of the trip. Once we arrived, we were checked in by a very attentive staff member and offered rum/fruit punch and taken to our 5th floor adjacent rooms which had fabulous views of the beach, turquoise waters, resort pool and palm trees. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and elegant. We also spent some time sitting in the balconies enjoying the beautiful views. My husband, daughter and I found all the staff on the grounds to be very courteous and helpful as we explored the hotel and beach. The water was a little choppy the first two days we were there but it calmed down by the middle of the trip. It was very humid and the Caribbean sun is very hot so make sure to put on plenty of sunscreen (as we got a little sunburned the first day). My husband went parasailing and had a really great view of the entire island. The Ritz Carlton is in Grace Bay so there are restaurants, souvenir shops and a grocery store in walking distance. It felt safe to walk around in the evening and there were many other tourists there as well. We did eat many meals at the hotel restaurants (our daughter enjoyed the sushi at Noori and the steak at BLT Steak). However, eating at Coralli (and Casa Nonna for my birthday) was the highlight for us. The buffet breakfast at the hotel's Coralli Restaurant has an extensive selection of tasty foods. I highly recommend the omelette station as well. We found the restaurant staff there to be very friendly. They took initiative to do things to make our dining experience great! I would like to acknowledge several people who served our meals there as well as our birthday celebrations very magical. In particular, Chef Derecka Shayy went above and beyond to not only make the dessert birthday plates but also sang heartfelt songs to us ("Wind Beneath My Wings" to my daughter and "Scars to Your Beautiful" to me) on our birthday occasions. Our daughter was so happy and touched by the beautiful gesture for her 21st birthday, it was very special. For my birthday dinner at Casa Nonna, Julie made sure our birthday table had balloons all over, a beautiful birthday cake and had the musician come over and play happy birthday on his saxophone! It was really wonderful! Other restaurant staff I want to acknowledge are Norman the restaurant manager, Elton, Ashish, Theresa, Cherone, John, Marsha, Ferdinand, Yensi and the others whose names I don't remember. Thank you all so much! Also, on my birthday afternoon, Evenson of the housekeeping staff along with his manager came to our room with a huge arrangement of balloons as well as a birthday dessert plate. It was a really thoughtful thing to do to make the day special. I ended up eating lots of birthday pastries that day! I also want to thank our room maid Fanie who made sure we had everything we needed in our rooms. All in all, our trip to the Ritz Carlton was a truly outstanding experience and one we will always remember. I saw that the hotel staff felt empowered enough to take initiative and act on it to make our birthdays and stay really memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend the Ritz Carlton for a stay in Turks and Caicos! Thank you for reading this lengthy review. Read less

My wife and I just returned from a 5 night stay at the RC Turks and Caicos and absolutely loved it. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday while away and the Ritz really delivered. They made her feel special from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We travel for her birthday every year and love to try different places every time. Last year was a ‘big’ birthday for her and we chose to stay at the Shore Club. We were extremely disappointed there as per my review that you can find on here. I had informed the Shore Club quite a few times via email and phone that it was a big birthday for my wife and was hoping they’d make her feel special. That’s all I wanted. They assured me that our stay and her birthday were both super important to them and that they would make her feel special about it. When we arrived there last year, there were absolutely no notes in our reservation about this special event and not one person there wished her a happy birthday- despite my many calls and emails to them. We were truly disappointed and I let them know. The general manager there only came up to me on our very last day to apologize- pathetic! The Ritz was also made aware that it was a birthday. I contacted the hotel a week before arriving and was connected to Florence - the guest relations supervisor. She assured me that they’d make my wife feel special for her birthday and she definitely delivered. From the moment we checked in, several employees wished her a happy birthday right away and there were several surprises in our room throughout our stay. We were so happy to meet Florence on our first day. She is definitely an asset to the hotel. She understands customer service and the hotel is very lucky to have her. The service throughout our stay was wonderful. Latoya at breakfast is an absolute angel with a welcome smile each morning. Asaro (spelling) at lobby bar was amazing as well- always smiling and happy to please. We also really liked the lady who made the omelettes each morning. I don’t recall her name but it starts with a D. There were so many other employees who went above and beyond for us, as you’d expect at a Ritz. As for the property- it’s brand new with a stunning open air lobby. The grounds and rooms are stunning, and the whole vibe at the hotel is very uplifting. The beach is magnificent, as you would expect from Turks. The guys working the beach were all eager to please and kept coming up to us to see if we needed anything. We were so please with our stay. We usually don’t repeat places so fast, as there are so many places to try- but we’d consider coming back to the Ritz sooner than later. We loved it that much. I’m not sure why there are some negative reviews about the Ritz on here. We’ve stayed at several Ritz Carlton’s around the world , and this was on par with them- if not better. If you are planning on visiting Turks and Caicos, I would highly suggest booking the RC. Our experience here was fantastic compared to our hugely disappointing experience at the Shore Club last year - where the service and management made it feel like a Holiday Inn at best. They don’t care about their customers like the RC does. We hope to come back real soon and highly recommend this hotel! Read less

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a couple weeks now and after reading the last negative review(I just can’t imagine it being that bad!) it prompted me to do so. I have stayed at numerous resorts (from St Regis/ Four Seasons to Court Yard’s) - 5 being in TCI and this was by far one of our best experiences in TCI. From the second we stepped on property just about everyone went above and beyond. Wilbert the hotel manager went out of his way to make a connection with us and was by far one of the best hotel managers I have ever met. Every day we had a little surprise in our room, whether it was dipped strawberries, champagne or simply a handwritten note. We were also upgraded to the 7th floor and room was beautiful - the view was stunning. When we stayed @ Seven Stars and Wymara (which we also love) we had a walk out and the higher floor at Ritz was just amazing. We had access to the lounge for 2 days and it’s a good thing we didn’t have it the entire time or we would have never left! There was plenty of food and drink at all times. We only had cocktails and dessert at BLT bc we love visiting the local restaurants in TCI. Both nights we ended up at BLT it was lovely. The lobby bar was great for an after beach, pre dinner cocktail- that’s where we chatted w Wilbert and the bartenders! Husband had a massage and he said it was fabulous- and we have also had massages at the Palms & Wymara. He said it was definitely better @ Ritz. Yoga was great each day. Instructor was very nice. Was the gym small? Yes but it was completely fine and if you’re concerned about guests not wiping down machines just do it before you use. I prefer doing that anyways. I don’t expect anyone wiping my machines down before or after me. Beach Service was good nothing over the top. Beach bar was where they need a little help. We headed over to Seven Stars the 2nd day and had much better service. Can’t comment on the pool because we never went and are not pool people. We can’t wait to return! Read less

You won't get any status recognition; lounge access is $150/pp/per day ($300/day for a couple? for WHAT?), upgrades cost $$ too. This is one of those few hotels in the Marriott catalog that basically ignore the reason you selected them, and shrug their shoulders at your captivity. So, wouldn't return to Turks at this hotel. There are a lot of other options for hotels in Turks. This is nice, and the location is nice, and the service is lovely, but prob still not worth the premium you are paying. Read less
