This was our first time in Turks & Caicos and we booked the Windsong based on a recommendation from friends. We were pleased to discover it was everything they said and then some! The staff was friendly, the room was incredible, the beach was spectacular. The room includes a daily breakfast which was much better than a typical continental breakfast. It includes several fresh options and is served by accommodating staff. The beach was pristine and there's a reef area for snorkeling right outside the hotel. This was not an all-inclusive experience which for us made it much more pleasant and personal. The food (and drinks) at the 2 on-site restaurants was excellent and probably much better than you would get with an all inclusive package. The general manager (Annette) walked around the property daily to ensure all guests were happy and taken care of. We were impressed by all the wait staff and bartenders, especially Youvline, Angenie, Marcson, who went out of their way to make us feel like family. The concierges Khalil and Garey were friendly, knowledgeable and quick to assist with all our needs. We just left last week and are already looking forward to our next trip back to the Windsong. There were distinct pros and cons at this place. Nice property and it was in a good location. Rooms were really nice and the cleaning staff was amazing. Probably the best room we have stayed at in the Caribbean. Front desk staff was wonderful and Khalil and Garry the Butlers were awesome! Overall the pools and lawn chairs were great! Now the bad stuff. The restaurant (they only have one) was bad on a lot of different fronts but most prominent was the service. It was extremely bad. Often for breakfast you would have to go ask for service as they ran around ignoring you. Most of the time they felt very “put off” by being there and generally were not very friendly. Another review said food takes 50 minutes to get and I would agree (this includes the continental breakfast). Amazing how poorly the restaurant is run given all of the other good things as it relates to the resort. The only other negative is that they do seem to want to blow all the leaves at 7:30 every morning. I understand that it needs to be done but timing may be a little bit off for a vacation resort. Overall the place was nice but with the staff being very hit or miss outside of the front desk and housekeeping might very well prevent us from visiting this resort again. Read less

Average Rating - Great Location, but Poor Service I'm giving this hotel an average rating because of its fantastic location and clean rooms. However, the service was a major letdown. The restaurant staff was slow, lazy, and sloppy, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, we had two instances where the cafe personnel lied to us about what could be ordered in the cafe versus the restaurant. The food was also overpriced, and the continental breakfast was subpar. Despite paying a premium price, we didn't feel like we got our money's worth due to the poor service. However, I want to emphasize that the location is great, and the hotel is very clean. It's a shame that the personnel didn't match the same standards. Pros: Great location, clean rooms Cons: Poor service, overpriced food, bad continental breakfast, dishonest cafe personnel Read less

We had the best week at Windsong. The accommodations were roomy and clean (2 bedroom ocean front). Our place had a kitchen, washer and dryer, and large balcony. The staff were friendly and attentive. The snorkeling was wonderful and is located right off Windsong's beach. Great for families. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.

Great location! We just left the Windsong and had a nice time. Here are the pros and cons we experienced as a family of 6. PROS: Location - Reef is right in front of hotel with tons of sea life! Beach - Absolutely beautiful Rooms - Huge with plenty of space and modern (stayed in 2 bedroom ocean front) Front Desk Staff - Very nice and accommodating Cleaning Service - Amazing, rooms had morning and turn down service CONS: Construction - Room was next to it, last 3 days extremely loud with saws and cranes. They did offer us a food credit which was appreciated but would not stay that close ever again. Staff - Some friendly others off put and somewhat rude like the towel service. Service - Expect to wait 50 minutes for food no matter what you order. Kids will be starving. We had to bug the waitress after waiting 17 minutes for our water in the humid heat. She totally forgot. Lawn Service - Loud while people are trying to tan at 11:00am they are using blowers around the guests. We had a wonderful time and the snorkling was amazing! May consider an alternative next time mostly because of the noise and long waits to get any kind of food for the kids. Read less
