Wymara Resort & Villas Turks & Caicos

This is one of the best hotels/resorts in the world and I have traveled extensively. This is our third time staying at Wymara and it gets better each time. Not only is the property exquisite, the rooms amazing, the restaurants and bar delicious and fun, but the staff is beyond fabulous. We were treated like family, yet in a professional manner. The service was amazing! The staff went out of their way to accommodate all 10 of us at the villas. They were always in communication with us and did all they could to ensure we had a great vacation and trip. Can't say enough of the team including Aimee and Stephanie. Highly recommended to book a villa here. The views were amazing and the rooms were great. We stayed in a four bedroom villa. The food was great too. We visited the resort too and the food was amazing. Again highly recommend for anyone visiting Turks. Read less

My parents and boyfriend (now Fiance... stay tuned for the story) LOVED our stay at Wymara. We stayed in an oceanfront studio and suite. It was absolutely beautiful. Everything was very clean. When we arrived we did not take the skypass because we were fortunate enough to get the first flight out of Toronto, so the immigration process was a complete breeze. We rented a car from Grace Bay Car Rentals and they were very easy to talk to. Barbra/Barbs was the one who assisted us and she was wonderful. I would recommend renting your car with them. We booked through their online portal and even if your flight is late, they track everything and your car will STILL be there when you arrive. When walking into the Wymara we were welcomed by staff and given a welcome drink which was divine! The check in process was very swift and we got into our rooms in a timely manner. Three people really stood out for my family and I; Elisha, Tiasha, and Geraldeen (sorry if I spelt your name wrong!). They REALLY helped our trip go smoothly and was there throughout the entire planning process. I like to plan EVERYTHING to a T and they were SO accommodating. To keep this review organized I will break this into sections. Turks and Caicos overall: - BEAUTIFUL! LIKE A DREAM. The beach at the Wymara has white sand and is VERY clean. The cleanest beach I have seen. The island itself is very small. The resort is about 13 minutes away from the airport and there are little grocery shops that are about 5 minutes or less away from the resort as well. Tours: - Before even coming to Turks I prebooked and planned our activities. I did this through emailing the Wymara guest services. They helped in booking and prepping everything. It truly made everything run smoothly. We did 3 paid activities. One was clear bottom Kayaking booked with Island Adventure Tours. The tour was such an experience and our tour guide, Jean, was very knowledgeable and amazing. He guided us and shown us a lot of wildlife. I really recommend him and this tour. - The second tour we did was the Love Buggy Tour with Island Style Tours. THIS tour is a MUST do. You get to see 85% of the island and you can ride your own little love buggy (that steers like a motorcycle/scooter). Our guides were Marvin and Niko. AMAZING DUDES!! SO AMAZING! They are so good at what they do and it was just such a great time. BOOK THIS TOUR! - The third experience we did was Parasailing with Key to the sea Parasailing. This was a cool thing to do too because not everywhere does parasailing. I did not catch either of the tour guide names but it was a nice experience. - There are MANY free activities Wymara provides such as snorkeling, Hobbie Cat rides, Kayaking and more. Just go on their website or you can email guest services. Also they have a lot of other tours such as horseback riding, fishing, snorkeling tour and more! The paid tours were reasonable for what you actually get to experience. Food and drinks - We ate at both Blue Water Bistro and Indigo which are on property of Wymara. Both are EXCELLENT! If you love seafood like I do, you will be in heaven. Chef Andrew is a master in the kitchen and everything is prepared to perfection. We also ate at da conch shack and THAT was great too. You MUST try conch when in Turks, its delicious and so fresh. We ate at Paralele 23 which is at The Palms hotel. Very nice as well and many food options! Overall, slightly pricey but you pay for the quality! We did not drink much but the Pink Bar has a lot of options as well as each of the restaurants. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Truly a trip we will remember forever. I got proposed to right on the beach and of course I said yes! The team at Wymara helped my parents and Fiance plan everything perfectly. It was on the same night as their BWB BBQ and it was such a memorable moment. If you are planning on doing any sort of events, do contact guest services and they will be MORE than welcome to help you plan! We really miss the Wymara and Mara (their kitty). Amazing faces, people and experience. I cannot stress enough for everyone to experience staying at Wymara at least once! It may be pricy but it is an experience. I will forsure be back!! Read less
