The hotel has beautiful grounds, perfect for a leisurely walk. However, the experience fell short in several areas. Check-In: Check-in was frustratingly slow, taking around 30 minutes—the longest I’ve ever experienced. Despite notifying the hotel of our late arrival, the process was far from smooth. The young man assisting us was polite and doing his best but encountered several technical issues. Room Service & Dining: After the delayed check-in, we ordered room service. Unfortunately, the nasi goreng was burnt and lacked flavor—a real letdown compared to what’s available elsewhere in Indonesia. The presentation could also use a little more love. • The Italian restaurant was also disappointing; the tiramisu had flavored cream but used sponge cake or bread that lacked authenticity and taste. • On a positive note, the Japanese restaurant was excellent and highly recommended. Rooms: The rooms are spacious but in dire need of an update. They felt very dated and had a strong musty smell that we masked with incense sticks which we bought . The air conditioning was noisy even at the lowest setting, and combined with the frogs outside, it made a evening chorus for a difficult night’s sleep. We also experienced a blocked toilet, which was promptly attended to, but unfortunately, the staff didn’t clean up properly afterward. Breakfast: We had breakfast at the Grand Club. While the setting was nice, the offerings were heavily skewed towards Indian and Balinese cuisine, with limited variety. Unlike other executive lounges, there was no salmon, fresh coconut, or a decent variety of cold cuts available. Spa: The spa is set in a beautiful location and offers a good range of treatments. However, consistency is an issue. I tried the same treatment on two occasions—the first was excellent, but the second was mediocre and did not reflect the standard or worth the price. Service & Staff: The staff are genuinely friendly and hardworking—they are the heart and soul of the property. However, we were disturbed by staff chatter outside our room as early as 5:30 AM. Overall: While the hotel has potential due to its beautiful grounds and excellent Japanese restaurant, other aspects—dated rooms, poor dining quality, and subpar facilities—left us disappointed. There are better options available at a similar price point. Read less

Excellent property up to Hyatt standards--on par with other international hotel chains. There are several options for the pool preferences ranging from relaxing and secluded at its Balinese Feature Pool, to hyperactive children at the waterslide area of River Pool. The staff are excellent and helpful overall. The property is vast but slightly dated. The negative aspect is flies all over at the Grand Club Lounge that rivals those at Australia Outback. Still, the Grand Hyatt Bali offers fine value and ideal location in Nusa Dua--directly on the beach and adjacent to Bali Collections Mall. Read less

Was there for a spiritual retreat. Nice place. Good food. The healtier choice is provided. Almond milk and Oatmilk were offered during tea time. Fruits available for all meals. Cosy room. Great service. interestingly, there were clear evacuation procedures for tsunami, earthquake and fire.

We stayed for 7 nights at the Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua with 2 children aged 4 and 2 years. When we arrived we were very impressed with the gardens and stunning presentation of the resort grounds. We stayed in a king room with a garden view. The day bed which was converted to a bed was perfect for our small kids to share without tripping over a fold out bed and the room felt spacious for the 4 of us. If you looked closely, there was a fair bit of wear and tear in the rooms however it was still extremely clean and well presented in a classic Balinese style. Currently, the Garden Cafe is closed for refurbishment but we ate at the other 3 restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed all meals. Both Salsa Verde and Watercourt Restaurant offered a great kids menu and staff were always offering colouring activities to the kids. The Japanese restaurant, Nampu, was amazing and we wished we could have dined there again before leaving. A highlight for us was the cultural evening at Pasar Senggol which occurs 3 or 4 times per week. The setting was stunning with an amazing array of Indonesian and Balinese food paired with a fun and family friendly cultural performance. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool near the large water slide which our kids loved. The waterslide is supervised by an attendant and we really appreciated this as we could send our 4 year old up the steps by herself and wait for her at the bottom, knowing she would be safe. Often the attendants would wave to us or give us the thumbs up when she was on her way down! The service by the pool was great. Rather than waiting for someone to take your order, you can order by scanning a QR code which was so easy! Food and drinks were tasty and the service was pretty fast. My daughter tried the kids club and whilst it was no fault of the lovely staff, it wasn’t for her. We did make use of the toddler room with our kids for some indoor play time which they enjoyed. The resort is really big and we probably only saw a third of it! They have buggies from the lobby to connect guests with the many restaurants and facilities which we utilized in the humidity with the young kids - and was one of the highlights of my kids’ stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return to the Grand Hyatt Bali. I feel it is great value for money and provides an authentic and relaxing Balinese stay perfect for our family.
