The hotel

Living up to its ‘authentically Bali’ mantra, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa feels like a reincarnated Balinese palace. Every element’s lavish, with its three exquisite tree-fringed pools, sumptuous spa, gym, and seven bars and restaurants all adding to the fantastical feel. But nothing’s quite as regal as its grounds, where tropical greenery spills over balconies, tumbles through gardens, and comes to rest on the pure white sands of its beach. The effect’s a serene setting for garden tours, coconut leaf weaving, and traditional dance classes – and for Gecko Club’s child-focused island experiences. Inside its nine hectares, a dramatic temple-like structure splits to reveal an elaborate lily pond festooned with water features; Balinese guest rooms (including Butler-served Club rooms) divulge garden, pool, or beach scenes; and the incredible bamboo web of its double-decked brasserie opens up to hypnotic Indian Ocean views.

Where is it

Located on Bali’s southern peninsula. Transfer time from Ngurah Rai International Airport: 15 minutes via the Bali Mandara toll road.

Hotel information

382 rooms and suites styled with Balinese touches, including carved wood features. All with private balcony, TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar fridge and safe. Deluxe rooms with balcony, garden views and either 1 king-size bed, or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. 

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and free flow of non alcoholic and selected alcoholic beverages (excluding mini-bar and room service).

Meals must be taken at designated venue. Meals and beverages must be consumed at the outlet, take away is not allowed.

Half board option: includes a three-course set lunch or dinner from the special menu in Maguro Asian Bistro, Tamarind Mediterranean Brasserie and Raja's Balinese Cuisine. It is also available for all theme dinners including the cultural show.

Full Board option: includes a three-course set lunch and dinner from the special menu in Maguro Asian Bistro, Tamarind Mediterranean Brasserie and Raja's Balinese Cuisine. It is also available for all theme dinners including the cultural show. Three courses are included as one appetiser, one main course and one dessert.

My husband and I stayed for two nights and enjoyed the overall service. One thing I would like to share is explicitly my experience with Dream Studio Bali, which is a professional photoshoot service located on the 1st floor of the hotel. One of my personal agendas during this trip is to take a professional photoshoot wearing the traditional Balinese outfit with beautiful Bali’s nature and temples, and the Dream studio did a great job. Our photographers, August and Adam, took so many great solo and couple shots around the resort and at the beach. Also, as the hosts, Mary, Santy, and Era helped me immensely, from the booking to outfit preparation and hair. Again all of the staff were so nice, very enthusiastic. If you plan to stay at this hotel or just looking for a professionally stunning photo, I highly recommend Dream Studio Bali. Read less

We stayed here many times, the room is fabulous, the garden beautiful, all staff are friendly very caring, the restaurants are excellent. Thank you for unbelievable services special to Arini Front office manager. Can’t wait to book for next stay.

We stayed at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel for 6 times. The staff are courteous and friendly. Breakfast was lovely, rooms also clean well maintained. The architecture was lovely, very authentic Bali. Definately will be back next year. Thank you to Arini Front Office Manager for special courtesy gave to us.
